  2. And you know what? I wouldn't be mad if he didn't play them. I totally get it. But the tape isn't just for those who are departing this year, it's also for those who didn't get a lot of playing time this season to get their feet wet and see how they perform against their peers under pressure now that we don't have to worry about if this L will cost us a CFP spot. It's beneficial to the team as a whole. If he sits Arch, fuck man, let's see Lacy roll. Or if Dia Bell is there see if anyone knows how he's performing in practice. At the end of the day I get your point. I do. But also, these last 3 weeks and game will benefit all who get to play. And again, if Sark chooses not to play X, Y, Z because he's unsure if they could use it or not/possible injury we can't have, that's also fine. We have an 85 man roster where the next man up could be the next first or second rd pick. Get all of our DBs real game time, like Santana Wilson, Kobe Black, Kade Phillips, Jonah Williams, Xavier Filsaime, etc. Same with the WR's like Lockett, Ffrench, McCutcheon, Mosley, and so on and so forth all the way down to every position.
  3. But it does matter. Maybe not to you, and that's fine. But to say an exhibition game is meaningless doesn't hold water. Those extra practices are needed in the worst way. This team needs to gel. We need to see other, younger players get real snaps against their peers, which cannot be replicated in practice. Sure, anyone can argue that if you aren't in the playoffs that playing an opponent is zero sum, but at the end of the day it's the bigger picture. It's not just one game. It allows early enrollees practice. Those who are leaving opens up a spot for someone else to shine and get their chance. It's not about if we beat them or vice versa, it's about finding the players who have gotten better and see how they perform under pressure.
  4. What are you, in the fucking mafia or something?
  5. Honestly, do we care? He hasn't shown a propensity to coach them. Wisner went from a 1k back to 600 yards. For a dude that got bigger, faster, stronger, and has some quick cutting ability, yet he's regressed. Scott also doesn't seem to understand how rotations work. I don't care if he goes.
  6. This. They're absolutely going to have a snap count for guys like Manning, Simmons, Hill (if he chooses to play), Muhammad (see Hill), Baxter, Wingo, Moore, etc. But, we also get to see younger players ball out. Good or bad. We aren't getting woodsheded, so we can take chances like this. Also some HS recruits will be there to work out, too. Just like Terry last year and some others. It's a win-win.
  7. The reward should be putting more tape out there playing against your peers, the top recruits from years prior that have grown up. Not tape playing against the Boston Colleges of the world. The reward is getting better. Getting to see younger players play. See a window where so and so might be breaking out. This team needs all the practices it can get. Most players will be playing this game, including Arch, because they love the game and want to get better. Colin Simmons isn't bitching out of this game. Only players like Ant Hill and transfers will probably sit out. It also would not surprise me to see Hill playing, either. He's a gamer. Same with Taaffe. They don't need to play, but they want to play because they love it, and it's their last college game for a lot of them.
  8. What's the difference between this and the game before which they could have torn their ACL/MCL? Nothing. You.play to get better, and sometimes shit happens. We played with 1 RB last year and still made it. We played with 1 1/2 this year and we lost to Florida. Everything isn't linear. Injuries happen and they suck. That's why if they choose not to play (which is unlikely) I don't begrudge them for it. They have a future in the NFL. But what about the younger players? You don't think 3 extra weeks of practice and one more game will help them? You can't play and be scared. You're gonna get hit. Every time you practice, play, whatever, there's that chance it could ruin football for you. It happens. Baxter is a good case to look at. He was on his way to murder people and he tore every ligament is body had to offer in his knee during spring practice. He came back, he's not at full strength, but he wants that chance that's in front of him.
  9. Exactly. I just lost any respect I had for Freeman. All of it. Canceling because you lost a CFP bid? You don't want 3 more weeks of practice? This is why they get complacent and lose to the Aggys and Cristobal's of the world. That's not even a hard fucking schedule, but they make it harder on themselves for simply canceling extra practices. Maybe, I dunno, join a real conference? You know, like everybody else who is in the CFP?
  10. That's some solid bitch made hoes. All because they didn't make the CFP and they think they're special? Maybe don't lose back-to-back to start the season, and maybe consider joining a conference, dipshits. Also, you might want to get a real schedule instead of playing the likes of BC, Navy, Boise St, Purdue, Arkansas, NC ST, Syracuse, Pitt and Stanford. That's some shameful scheduling and that's what happens when your players are playing below their level. They get complacent, and when you lose you take your ball and go home at the end of the season. This is why you aren't better.
  11. Notre Dame is so bitch made. Christ. Don't want to play because...missed CFP? FOH.
  12. If it's this chickball, I'm all in.
  13. More Texas football? Sign me the fuck up! We missed CFP, but whatever. We still get one last game before 2026, and honestly, I'm pretty hyped about beating Michigan again. Let's see the young players ball out and get ahead. I hope everyone plays, but I also won't begrudge anyone who sits out. Like someone said above— one day football will be over, and we'll think back and say "that was the last snap we'll ever see." Man, I still like bowl games because 1) once February hits, we have to wait until June for real news, and 2) Shit, it's football, yo! We'll all be dying just to watch Indiana St take on Austin Peay on Aug 28th or some shit.
  14. Is RGIII retarded or has his CTE advanced?
  15. I really do want to hate that mf'er, but he's so fucking good. Just like I wanted to hate Sean Taylor, but it's impossible. You know greatness when you see it. Kyle Hamilton, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor (Virginia Tech has put out some really good talent), Derwin James, Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Brian Dawkins, Eric Berry, Tyrann Mathieu (honey badger don't sleep), Minkah Fitzpatrick. When you know, you know.
  16. Man, now there's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time. I wonder whatever happened to him? Low key, Central Michigan has actually had some absolute ballers— Antonio Brown, JJ Watt before he transferred, Joe Staley, Eric Fisher, Joe Ostman, Josh Gordy are just the ones I can think of. They also have more recent #1 overall picks than we do (Eric Fisher).
  17. Well, yeah. It's Indiana. They can afford to take gambles like that because, well, they don't have the weight of the world on their shoulders like a Texas, Bama, OU, Michigan, USC, UF, UGA, watching their every move. Had Cig and Indiana flopped, no one would bat an eye. They hit the lottery, and honestly, good for them. This is why we need party more in CFB, to get moments like these. Florida is getting shit because they're a name brand. Just like we took shit for hiring Charlie Strong, or having our incompetent AD fly out to beg Harsin to take the OC job. We got dunked on, and rightfully so. It's embarrassing as fuck. We, UF, and all the big name schools are set to a different standard, whereas Indiana didn't have anyone outside of basketball who gave a af, other than IU grads and fans, so their standard was "let's throw spaghetti against the wall and see what sticks." It worked. Most of the time it doesn't work, but just like Bowling Green once had Urban Meyer, IU has Cignetti, who may choose to stay, and I hope he does. Seeing IU choke out fOSU, Oregon, Michigan, etc is why CFB is the absolute best sport.
  18. Yes, and I agree. Looking back he was, like @lilMAC25 said, was far, far more important to Texas than Bush was to USC, so yeah, looking at it like that, he really should have won it.
  19. Bro, I wanted VY to win it, obviously, but look at how many Heisman winners pad their stats over shit teams. Had the Heisman been given after the NC, which logic dictates it should be, VY would have it unanimously. But regular season? VY had 26-10 passing TD's. That's uh, not great. He did, however, have over 1k rushing, which is great, and 37 overall TD's, but again, that's good, but not great. Leinart in 2004 had 3300-33-6 Bush in 2005 had 1700 rushing yard with 16 TD's @ 8.7 ypc. That's phenomenal. He also had almost 500 receiving and 2 TDs. He also had a punt return for a td. Washington was the only team to hold him under 80 yards. VY had six games where he his pass % was less than 60%. I do not blame the committee for awarding Bush the Heisman. Stop being a Homer and go look at stats. Had the Heisman been awarded after NC, VY would have it, no questions. But, he doesn't. It is what it is. As you grow older and look at each players stats, you can clearly see why Bush won it.
  20. Yep. Those dudes are killers. Well coached. I'll be pulling for them.
  21. Right???? You would think at least ONE would be bangable
  22. Straight cash, homie!
