  1. I guess this is the thread where we pretend being 6’8 250 lbs and 6’10 is undersized.
  2. Living in Cisco for any amount of time has to be a culture shock for the kid.
  3. I understand Houston and El Paso, but how are we expected to fit a trip to Fort Worth into the schedule?
  4. Turn to page 362, verse 3: “And on the third day, Bru McCoy returned to USC.”
  5. Maybe he’s a big fan of Glory Road and this puts him one step closer to meeting Josh Lucas.
  6. Interesting that this was the piece of information he chose to share about Young.
  7. I’ve lost my faith in technology.
  8. They’ll find something, it just may not be what they originally had in mind.
  9. Jokes on you, there aren’t any Shaka guys left. If we suck, we’re going to suck with guys hand-picked by Beard.
  10. If Arizona hires Muss, Arkansas hires Pastner, Georgia Tech hires Adams, Beard goes back to Tech. Royal Ivey feels spurned and we’re left with a hologram of Lute Olson pacing the sideline.
  11. Awesome, awesome photoshop job. My eyes definitely are not burning from that shade of red.
  12. Thought for sure the practice cut up was going to be a video of him bagging groceries.
  13. Don’t count your chickens n such
  14. Only breadsticks
  15. Home run hires don’t exist outside of rare occasions and only a few schools can make them happen. North Carolina can pull Roy Williams. Kentucky can pull Calipari (and he only has 1 championship), we’re not one of the schools who can make home run hires. We have to gamble one way or another on someone with upside and pray for the best.
  16. Why not...
  17. Lowers to $4 million on April 1 for any Big 12 team.
  18. His team this year was terrible at the beginning of the season and, as Tech seems to do under Beard, they found an identity and became a tough team to beat. I think he’s actually been a victim of his own success and has lost his top player to the draft after each season, most of those guys being under the radar recruits he developed pretty rapidly and made them legitimate NBA prospects. He moved up the board this year and actually pulled in a 5 star, I forget his name, and the kid never bought in to the philosophy and left the program. I think he’s getting to the point where he can recruit a higher-caliber of player at Tech, the biggest obstacle will be getting those kids to want to play a gritty style of basketball.
  19. If I had know you guys were all going to lose so quickly I wouldn’t have relied on Rick Barnes.
  20. It has to do with TV deals. CBS has a commitment to airing the news on Sunday nights, so they get their game allotments early without competition so they don’t lose viewership by not having the “prime time” games. Things revert back to normal tomorrow.
