  1. Through the first 90 minutes of the show every time a presenter came on stage they were black, or if they weren’t black the winner of the award was black.
  2. So far either the presenter was black or the winner of the award was black in every instance. Racist as fuck and contrived show.
  3. When people call 21 year olds “kids” I realize I’m in the wrong room.
  4. He sucked when the offense was designed for him for a couple years. We won despite him today. His great attitude is nothing more than the dude having no personality. I hated Strong but in his defense he’d probably still be here if not for Shane.
  5. Not looking forward to Shane’s Aspergers kicking in on every road game.
  6. Curious what you guys “love” about Shane? Dude is a loner and not a leader. He’s sucked from day 1 and lost us many road games with his turtling. He’s not gonna exactly outgoing and likable in person either.
  7. Grown man Shane Buechele is not our standard and never was.
  8. Shane is garbage and has been a shit stain on the program from day 1.
  9. Soft, entitled pussies that don’t work as hard as most schools.
  10. Been around B/CS lately and I’m shocked at how much better looking their women are at this point. Perks of lowering their standards while we’ve raised them, I guess.
  11. Tom may or may not suck as a coach. One thing is for sure, the culture of our program will doom him and whoever we replace him with. We’re gonna get destroyed in recruiting this year.
  12. 9 years later and everything is still the coaches fault with you guys. Reminds me why I left this place. People can’t see that it’s much deeper than coaching, it’s cultural. We had 2 real great runs in our history. Other than that we’ve underachieved. Same story with Michigan. The parallels between them and tOSU/ and us with OU are scarily similar. One team wants it more from the very top all the way down to the students. The arrogance and obsession with academic prestige and progressive cultural climate are not conducive to winning titles. OU and tOSU have a win at all costs mentality. Not saying I’d want that for us, that’s silly. But I truly believe that that’s what explains their football superiority. The older I get the more obvious it seems.
  13. Yeah, I’m done blaming coaches. Unless you’re of the mind that there’s only like 5 good coaches out there in which case we might as well find new shit to do with our time on Saturdays. OU has been good for decades because they attract guys with a chip on their shoulder. They show up from day 1 and outwork us. There ain’t shit to do in Norman. I’d like to hear what the level headed people around here attribute to their success? A neutral observer would think we have every inherent advantage over them but they’re the far better program this century.
  14. Our players don’t hold themselves accountable. The coaches can only do so much. Strong and Herman did fine everywhere else they coached. Look at the size and speed of top 15 teams compared to our players. We’re physically outmatched. Anybody with a decent set of eyes can see that. That comes from a lack of effort in the offseason. There’s no VY on the team forcing guys to work out on their own in the summer.
  15. It’s not even about the athletics with me. It’s about the culture of the whole university. It’s gone to shit. I’m not gonna turn this into a political debate but that’s where I’m coming from. I’m out.
  16. It’s a cultural virus. Recruits choose Texas for the city and all that comes with it. They want the lifestyle that only Texas can offer. It’s the easy route. The players that will pour out their heart and soul in order to make the league are going elsewhere. It’s why our players look like they’ve been half assing it in the gym and a school like Maryland with 2 and 3 star recruits is bigger and faster across the board. The culture is why guys like Gary Patterson tell us to go fly a kite when the job opens up.
  17. There’s been a cultural shift. I’m not just pulling it out of my ass. My dad went in the late 70’s, brother went in the late 90’s/early 2000’s and I graduated last year. I don’t want my sisters going to a school that’s not supportive of their upbringing and cultural values. The place went soft and everyone walks around like they hung the moon from the day they arrive on campus. The only hard workers come from backgrounds where they couldn’t care less about athletics. The support from current students is not there and that will have exponentially greater effects in the coming years. We’ve turned into Michigan. The “we’re Texas” mentality is horse shit and does the university no favors. We’re not developing football players because most of them show up without the required work ethic to be elite. They got their UT scholarship and they live it up in Austin. Those guys in Norman aren’t having that problem.
  18. It’s a cultural issue. The arrogance of the place from Belmont to the tower has doomed the football team. If only some of the older people around here could get a good look at what the average student on campus is like these days you would see that we don’t have the mindset to be what Bama is. “Better” education according to the rankings but worse college experience.
  19. Bunch of entitled pussies showing up on campus feeling like they already accomplished something. Slowest and smallest looking bunch of players we’ve had since the 90’s. Not putting in the hard work in the offseason and getting outplayed by THAT Maryland team that missed 6 weeks of conditioning. The culture around the school and program are not conducive to winning football games. As far as wishing I went to another school? Both of my younger sisters will be attending college elsewhere thanks to my recommendation. UT ain’t what it was when you dudes went there in the 80’s and 90’s anymore.
