  1. Yeah I remember Viserys learning and passing it down last season. I guess the issue is my own skepticism that the knowledge of this prophecy will significantly affect anything in this show, since we know the ultimate outcome in GoT. It’s kinda the classic problem with prequels. (TBF it did influence Daemon here and Viserys previously) I meant when Helena appeared and spoke at the end of Daemon’s vision. Then it transitioned directly to the scene with her and Aemond. It initially stuck out to me since I don’t remember she and Daemon interacting before. But I wasn’t thinking about her ability for foresight.
  2. I was enjoying the first half of the episode. But, the second half left me wanting. Quite anticlimactic, though it did set some things up. Daemon’s move (or lack there of) did surprise me, but story-wise it was probably the least compelling decision he could make. Did I imagine or misread something significant between Helena and Daemon from his vision? Rhaena looking for the dragon added nothing since we all knew where it was going. Doesn’t help that I had to look up her character name. The lippy new dragon rider provided tension that I assume will go somewhere eventually but I was expecting more to happen here. The visions of GoT “winter is coming” imagery, Daenarys, etc., are cool and all, but feel contrived to me. I will say that production value and performances are excellent. Really hope they deliver the next season more quickly than this one.
  3. Saves the US streak of winning at least one gold in an individual male swimming event, every Olympics since 1904.
  4. Scottie
  5. British shooter got screwed during that shoot-off. Replay showed the target got hit

  7. Me watching these relays:
  8. Thanks, I was waiting for something on the football board. Rarely check the travel board
  9. Glad I got them all for face value (not really cuz donation) #humblebrag
  10. That was awesome
  11. South Korea holds off China to win its 10th straight gold in women’s team archery. Came down to a shoot-off. Fun. And again, Gold Zone on Peacock is awesome to see tons of sports and basically all medal moments.
  12. Although they were wearing leggings tonight, one of the Canadians did catch my eye. Also the GOLD ZONE on Peacock is great whiparound coverage.
  13. How do we not score off that
  14. Got ours for Michigan. FYI for those looking at the ticket market, face value for tix through UT are $215.
  15. Getting better after a few games a day this week. RPOs were really pissing me off at first until I did a bit of practice and realized the actual RPO play call (alert vs read vs peek, etc) is really important to the mechanic. Most of them are a one-read quick pass or a handoff where it hands off if you don’t throw it quick. But if it’s a slower developing multi-route RPO, that’s when you can press A (Xbox) to pull the ball back from the RB and then throw it to receiver. Defense is tough and my biggest complaint is player switching. Haven’t played this game or really any Madden since 2012 probably, but it used to be where when you hit the switch player button on D it almost always put you to the player you were expecting it to, most often the player closest to the ball. Here I often end up switching to some CB up the field who dives and takes himself out of the play.
  16. Haven’t been notified about Michigan tix yet. But yes they had previously said they would notify for away ticket requests by July 15.
  17. Every year, like clockwork, some media jackwagon asks the head of officiating to comment on Horns Down and taunting. And when the given answer is aggregated everywhere the story becomes “why is Texas so soft?”.
  18. What a save!
