  1. El Nino has affected winter in southeast Idaho in some strange ways. Case in point, our lower trails are usually bone dry by now, but instead, most are still buried in snow. Fortunately, we've hit the lower 50s/upper 60s recently, and I was finally able to get on some dirt today.

Took a fire road until there was too much snow to go any further.

Then looped back down to town and climbed some singletrack until the risk of mudding up my bike seemed too great.

Fast forward a week and I imagine all the lower, exposed trails will be rideable.

Rumors are that Steve Alford will be OSU's next coach. I'd prefer someone younger, but if true, I can't say I hate it too much. His track record is solid and what we need more than anything right now is respectability and appearances in March. I think he can get us there, but still hope for Devries or one of the other lower level up and comers that are currently in the dance.

Eeesh, I dunno. That's some recycled goods there, 'stache. He's a proven winner and would be an upgrade over Boynton, but I still feel like y'all could do better.

  3. If possible, I'd go back to that fateful day I signed up for the Shag.

There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret. Not because I'm in here, or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then, a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime.

I wanna talk to him. I wanna try to talk some sense to him -- tell him the way things are. But I can't. That kid's long gone and this old man is all that's left. I gotta live with that.

  4. Texas was favored but it taking down the Brooks Bros. was still a huge win and no small feat.

That same team was responsible for one of my favorite all-time regular-season wins--beating a stacked UCLA side at Pauley Pavilion. How stacked? Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love, and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, for starters.

Several great teams that season, and Texas was one of them. Barnes put together a special crew.

He's gone full red pill. All of the grievances of the world are caused by illegals, women, LGBT, etc. This is what the grievance industrial complex is all about these days. These people are absolute chodes, but the ills that befall them can't be their own fault, so they blame anyone or everyone else.

It's just mind blowing when it is one of the world's men. Granted, this seems to be striking a lot of the rich, white males of silicon valley.

Imagine being one of the world's wealthiest people, capable of buying or doing virtually anything, yet somehow believing you're the victim and that life has been unfair to you.
