  1. Yup. His internal clock was rushed on everything.
  2. Arch's issue weren't about the redzone. They were about his inability to throw the ball anywhere near his receiver. We win going away with Sayin. I'm sorry you're in denial. Whether Sark should have schemed the game differently or not is irrelevant. As schemed, it was winnable if the QB play is even halfway to competent.
  3. Sark can't throw the ball for him. This wasn't a loss because, for instance, Ohio State blitzed a shit ton and collapsed the pocket. There was generally a very good pocket for Arch to throw from. This wasn't a loss because we couldn't run the ball. We actually ran quite effectively. This wasn't a loss because we didn't call shots to open receivers. We did. This isn't a loss because we didn't call the TD on 3rd and 5 in a 1 score game. We did. It is a loss because our QB couldn't execute shit. Sayin as our QB and the this game is a blowout for Texas. That's the truth.
  4. Of course we were. Tom Brady hits Wingo crossing wide open for a probably touch down to tie the game. Tom Brady hits Moore on the first play for a huge explosive. Tom Brady Doesn't underthrow Wingo by 10 yards causing an INT. The game plan was good enough to win. The execution by one player was not.
  5. I assume it is just when the throw wasn't catchable by the intended receiver. He had other incompletions that were technically catchable but either defended or dropped (I use dropped loosely as it is really more that the receiver didn't make an incredible catch). I definitely believe he had 11 throws that weren't catchable by the receiver. I also think he had another 5 or 6 that were caught, but off target enough to make the play much less effective (e.g., the caught little bubble screen that lost yardage).
  6. BECAUSE HE SUCKED AT EVERYHTING (for today)! Again, your insistence that something else must have worked better despite all the evidence that he couldn't even do the very simplest things you expect a QB to do is just befuddling. I'm all for playing to the strengths of a player. I don't think that was the problem today. I think the problem was a player that we hope will be very good was in fact very, very very very very very bad.
  7. Yeah, our oline played much better than I expected. That's part of why I'm so disappointed in Arch's performance. He wasn't having to run for his life. He wasn't being rushed on his throws. He just fucking couldn't hit any of them. It looks like once he decided to throw, he rushed throw the motion rather than just focus on making a clean throw. That's where all that side arm shit came from.
  8. He had no strengths today. He couldn't execute anything consistently. Your continued insistence that we should call to his non-existent strengths (for today) is stupefying.
  9. We can agree that there are 12 years old that would have played a better game at QB.
  10. This is wrong. Really really wrong.
  11. Yes and I understand that you're delusional right now. I'm hoping you break out of it.
  12. He wasn't good at anything today. We tried a ton of shit with him. He sucked at it. I'm sorry that hurts your feelings. But it is true. There wasn't a game plan fix for Manning playing like absolute dog shit. His level of play today would keep the next 3 games somewhat close instead of being the absolute beat downs they should be. I'm confident he'll figure it out. But today isn't the day to blame anything but Arch.
  13. Arch attempting a slant in the middle of field today would have been a sure fire pick 6.
  14. Here is what I can tell everyone. As bad as you remember Arch being today, I can guarantee you it was actually much worse.
  15. You're correct. Your friend must have had a lobotomy or be @hobbes2702
  16. We ran the ball fairly well. Arch couldn't execute anything, ever. It didn't matter the play call. Stop being dense.
  17. My guy, everything you've said has been wrong and continues to be wrong. We called multiple QB draws. They were ok. Definitely the best part of his game because the rest of it was absolute trash. Throwing the ball successfully wasn't an option given what Arch was doing.
  18. He had no strengths today. I think we all believe he has strengths. He couldn't execute them today. We tried the plays you wanted to run. He missed them all today, including a fucking a TD on an RPO. This is a ridiculous conversation if you can't admit that he wasn't executing anything consistently today.
  19. Which plays are those? Should we try rolling him out and having him throw to wide open crosser with an option to run? Oh, he missed that multiple times? Should we aim to take shots down the field? Oh, he missed badly on those. Maybe we have him throw screens and swing passes? Oh, he threw those behind or at the feet of the receivers. I struggle how anyone could watch whatever the fuck just happened and think there was some play call that would magically work. Arch just needs to play better. A lot better. He had a good pocket. He had a decent run game. He had targets that were open. He just fucking sucked today.
  20. Wingo was open. Moore was open. Baxter was open. There were plenty of plays to be made. He either didn't see them or couldn't get the ball near them.
  21. He displayed nothing resembling a strength today. Stop pretending otherwise.
  22. It is fucking wild that you're comparing Ewers and Arch at this point. Ewers had problems, but they weren't in the same universe of bad as we saw from Arch today. This was absolutely rancid QB play. Ewers was usually serviceable and sometimes really good. He was never within a country mile of being this bad. Again, I expect Arch will be much better. But pretending there is anything an offensive coordinator could have done to get better results out of Arch today is fucking asinine.
  23. There is no schematic cure for not being able to throw to a wide open crossing route or constantly throwing short passes behind or at the feet of receivers. There were plays to be made based upon what was called. Arch didn't come close to making them.
  24. He literally threw a would be pick in that situation. His missed an easy TD in that situation. He wasn't good at that all. He showed some occasional flashes, but nothing we could consistently rely on today. You're letting your thoughts of what Arch should be confuse you. Whatever that is, he wasn't it today. If he doesn't play significantly better, there is no game plan fix.
