  1. The GG and Swoops comments are about what he looks like right now, this season. Not what he looked like last season. I absolutely agree he has looked better last year. Right now, he is worse than Swoops and, at best, matching GG. Yesterday was, without exaggeration, the absolute worst QB play I've seen for a Texas QB, including Hudson Card against Arkansas. He couldn't do anything against a bad a team. He couldn't complete basic plays with any consistency.
  2. An average d1 QB throws for 200+ yards yesterday with that game plan. Average d1 QB play would have beat Ohio State.
  3. Arch can't execute that offense. You have to hit the easy throws at a high clip. He can't do that.
  4. Retool it to what? Haynes King can throw a 7 yard hitch or a simple bubble screen. Arch can't, at least not consistently. There is no retooling around Arch right now. Every play where he throws the ball needs to be scrapped.
  5. Our oline wasn't good against UTEP. But also, I don't know how the running game is going to do anything when teams know that Arch can't hit the broadside of a battleship.
  6. I want to be clear, I'm really down on Arch, but I'm not writing him off. But I also don't think he fixes whatever is going on anytime soon. He needs to sit and reset. He may need another off season. Just throwing him back out there isn't going to solve anything.
  7. Swoopes, every time.
  8. Simms' first start was on the road against A&M as a true freshman. He had more passing yards against A&M in half than Archer had against UTEP in an entire game. VY's first start was as a redshirt freshman against Iowa State. Colt's bad game was against Ohio State. He looked quite good in his other games. Ewers was crushing before the injury. Do you really think any these are comparable to struggling, and that's putting it mildly, against fucking UTEP? At their very lowest moments, none of those QBs ever performed has badly as Arch did yesterday, especially taking into account the level of competition.
  9. You mean in the next 4-5 games, right? We are going to have a lot more losses than that with this level of play.
  10. We threw a bubble screen. Arch damn near threw it as a lateral behind the receiver and we are lucky the receiver caught it and was tackled for a loss. It would have been a close call as to whether it was a live ball if he didn't grab it.
  11. He can't even execute no reads. We literally ran plays where all he had to do was just throw to a guy and he still missed.
  12. And get 4 feet shorter?
  13. You're wrong, but whatever.
  14. 44% completion, under 120 yards, what should have been multiple ints, against UTEP. That ain't fucking hyperbole. We are losing a lot of games with this offense.
  15. Dude, he didn't suck ass that game. He just didn't have to do a lot. Had he played the whole game (like Arch has) he would have had 300 yards passing. These aren't comparable performances, like at all. Y'all are fucking insane for making this comparison.
  16. I hope you're right and only see two ways for it to happen: Either he gets a lot better very soon or he gets benched by Florida.
  17. This is stupid. Fine you win. Arch is maybe better than the worst QB over the last 20 years. What do you think that gets us? He is fucking atrocious.
  18. Where is the game where GG played this poorly against this level of competition?
  19. He completed over 60% of his passes regularly. Manning missed everything today. Arch would not have hit 60% going against air. You're just ignoring the flashing red signs.
  20. Yes. You can conceivably coach someone to read defenses better. I don't know how you help someone who cant throw the ball accurately 7 yards.
  21. Dude. Arch is going to throw those picks if he plays like this. I agree, GG had more opportunities to suck on a bad team. And he never sucked this hard. Arch will have those bad stats you want given time unless something drastic changes with him.
  22. Yes. That is how bad Arch has been. GG completed 66% of his passes for over 260 yards, 1 TD and 1 int, against UCLA in an absolutely terrible game. Arch completed 44% of his passes for under 120 yards and 1 TD and 1 int against fucking UTEP. Arch is objectively worse. What we saw today would have easily been 5 picks against middling Big 12 Teams of yesteryears.
  23. The game Texas scored 65 points, Vince completed 66% of his passes, and Nordgren was running the offense by the 2nd drive of the 2nd half? Do you really think those are similar, like at all?
  24. We could probably point to a random guy or girl in the stands.
  25. Yes. I remember. Those people were morons. Probably the same morons that think Sark can fix Arch by calling better plays.
