  1. You guys are REALLY over blowing OKC. It took alast second three AT HOME for okc to win and every year people do this and once the playoffs start they remember. Houston will beat OKC 4-1. Westbrook hasn't done jack shit in the playoffs because he will try and take over the series and blow it. I'm not saying we will win every game by 20-30 points but there isn't a matchup in the West that is considered "easy". Stop being pussies about teams like Now This is. He thinks we will lose to basically everyone and says "Oh no they are a scary matcup". Only team I am worried about is the Warriors.

You can point to moments all over the place where Tech might be "waking up as national champs".....Culver taking that dumb 3 at the end of regulation instead of taking the ball to the basket...Guy tripping over Diakite with 2.5 left in OT, with Tech up 3, and Tech getting called for the foul...the issue with the Italian and his pinky, and the the foul that wasn't called beforehand...And even if you give them the 2 in the above assertion there's no guarantee that Tech is going make FTs or some other weird shit isn't going to happen.  Hell, if Culver had simply closed hard on the Hunter's 3 we might have a different result on the shot and then the game.

You can dissect the game all day and all night long for stuff like this.

I just wish Francis had seen the ball even more last night.  He was the one guy on Tech that was seizing the moment and taking it by the jugular while his teammates were overwhelmed by it on occasion, early on especially.

No he shouldn't have even left Hunter and let them have the easy 2. More than likely I believe it was Jerome would have seen they are guarding the 3 point line dribbled past the easy layup and out to the three point line and fired up a contested 3. Especially if no one played help side defense for one possession he would have had to dribble out and toss one up instead of drawing a defender(which is exactly what they wanted) and kick it to a wide open man.

I highlighted this on the last page not to say it's the reason they lost but how when you play a certain way ALL YEAR and to adjust for one play is hard. There were a collection of plays that add up to why they lost but it went into overtime so i'm not sure why some on here feel the need to blast 2-3 plays. Just dumb.

  3. For me being an ex coach I usually watch games with the understanding that kids make decisions in the moment that are not drawn up by the coach so I always love how every detail of a "Inbounds play poor execution" is on the coach, when we draw up plays and they come out and show a defense that would take away that play design the kids have to improvise in the moment and not everything will always play out the way it is on a white board. What I saw was they had one second to get a shot off that was well defended and probably wasn't the exact play beard drew up and Culver took it on himself. It wasn't the play of the game or why they lost.

For me the play of the game was Tech defense with 12 seconds left and up 3 to leave a shooter in the corner open, the greatest part of the tech defense is the backside help and that is what bit them in the ass at the end. If anything Tech should have said and probably did to leave the drive lanes open and deny the perimeter and DO NOT help off your man and i'm not sure who did but holy fuck give them the layup and be up 1 with the ball and go to the free throw line. It wasn't really a "breakdown" as that is how they have played all year and it's just instinct to slide over and help. It sucks but that is basketball.

Now that's an impressive feat. A collection of 2 and 3 star recruits will be playing for the championship.

Not only are those guys being developed it also shows how important having guys that are 3,4 and 5 year guys are. Beard has a system so he knows what to look for in transfers ans shaka looks and go "damn he can jump sign him up" because he has no system at all. Fuck i'm pissed again.

  5. Loved listening to dickie v give his prediction for Monday and talked about Virginia and Bennett and then say “that other club has been good but Virginia and guy and Jerome just know how to play”. I’m surprised he didn’t start talking duke-unc just because he can’t seem to get off the acc cock. I hope tech wins by 25.

We weren't canning him anyway. I don't know why people continue to parrot this.

I agree. I never thought we were either, I am seriously asking a question if anyone has ever been fired after winning the NIT?

  7. This blows. Has any school fired a coach after winning the NIT? I'd say this keeps shaka around next year and even though no one knows if he would have been back anyways i find it hard to believe CDC would can him after winning the NIT. If he did though then CDC has massive balls and I would love him so hard.

Spurs are scary man, Pops can eat Dantoni alive if things fall into place. Houston needs to avoid I-10.

Dude stfu, you post every week how scared you are of the spurs and are clearly a pussy who thinks we are playing Timmy, Parker and manu in their prime. Just stop. No one is afraid of these spurs and I guarantee the rockets are trying to avoid anyone so go tremble in your closet and hope we avoid them.

  9. Calipari is such a fucking beating to listen too, every interview he thinks he has to be a philosopher and talk like he is intelligent. “You know basketball is hard when you don’t pass, these kids think they can do whatever, if they listen to me talk they would be winners”. Stfu!

  10. I think our mid week pitching and mentality has sucked all year, our weekend team seems to show up ready to play. Not sure how that will play out in a super regional or Omaha type tournament but we look like shit.

Fine.  Figure out who makes aggy's baseball schedule, and do that for Texas basketball.  Play 15 complete patsies (excluding Radford and Providence), go 23-8, make the tourney, win?

Yea because when you do the quadrant bullshit and are at the top for bubble teams and it goes against their theory and they don’t like the .500 team they change it back to overall wins. Ou making it at a 9 is a prime example. They don’t exceed us in any area but overall wins and they get in as a 9. Makes sense.
