The Week 1 slate has a ton of intrigue this year. That Thursday, my Scarlet Knights should take care of Temple and then Boise-UCF and tOSU-Minnesota are a good 1-2 punch later. On Friday, I'll definitely watch UNC-VT, and I'll give MSU-NW a shot. On Saturday at 11, I'll rotate between WMU-UM, PSU-Wisconsin, and Stanford-K State, though the first and last of those might get boring. Rice-Arkansas at 1 is a sneakily good game sandwiched between those and the 2:30/3 slate. Texas-Louisiana is my primary focus, and I'll give Bama-Miami a shot before it gets out of hand. IU-Iowa, WV-UMD, CMU-Mizzou, and even SJSU-USC have my attention as well. Following those, I'll give Oregon St-Purdue and Tech-UofH some attention before UGA-Clemson in primetime. UTSA-Illinois might be gross, but I'll still watch it. The trio of LSU-UCLA, Nevada-Cal, and BYU-Arizona will produce at least one good game to close out the night. ND-FSU on Sunday might not be bad, and Louisville-Ole Miss on Labor Day should be fun.

if I can nitpick, they overlapped at UW for a couple years but were at SC at different times. Sounds like you're basing your opinion on conjecture but havent heard anything since Becton got to UT. Got it.
Lewis and Becton were both at USC in 2016.

It's definitely something to keep an eye on in the 22 and 23 classes. I'd say the last elite class was 2019 with Ladson and Ngata.
2020 - EJ Williams was a good eval and he's going to be a stud. Ajou is a project that will likely not pan out.
2021 - Collins and Collins both appear to be depth fillers. Stellato is a wild card, could be really good. Will Taylor is allegedly an insane athlete, but jag until proven otherwise.
The loss of Jeff Scott is most apparent in WR recruiting, which is interesting because from all reports Tyler Grisham is significantly better than Scott from a coaching perspective. We'll see, if Clemson lands Randall, Greene, and Williams, I think a lot of Clemson fans will let out a sigh of relief. Not sure any of those three or anyone from 21 or even 20 is a Higgins or Ross, but it will at least be a step back in the right direction.
Who are the top 2-3 for Greene at this point? It's a great thing for Clemson that he seems to be saving on OV for them in the fall

What are your thoughts on their receiver recruiting? It seems like they've loaded up with good but not great prospects from '21 through this class.
-
II thought he'd end up at UNC since Dre Bly can get any player from the 757 he desires. Sometimes I forget how good Mike Reed and Mickey Conn are at recruiting and proper development.

Following something negative, the lack of knowledge and general inanity of national college football on this board is surreal.

Hopp Schwiiz, fuck France

Fuck yes!!!

Ohio St seemingly is making a big push for Kojo Antwi, so Samson may be SOL and have to settle for a cancerous offense for WRs in Nebraska.

Donté Williams is an incredible recruiter.

I root for the Swiss because I've always liked Shaqiri. He's been underwhelming lately, and Rodriguez has been awful. This feels like a 3-0 loss.
-
Well he's in with the Bergen mafia of HSFB coaches and was friends with James Gandolfini. Fran Brown is the star responsible for the recruiting success rn
-
VT fans better hope their boosters step up for once and get Fuente out of there. That staff can evaluate well, but they're awful at closing.

His pessimism aside, idk how anyone follows him. He tweets/retweets 50+ times a day
-
Probably a combination of a raise and having relationships with James Coley and their DPP Malchow

Like IT said, it's just a matter of time until he commits there. Their hire of Nick Williams was big in that recruitment, and they now have a legitimate shoot at another UGA commit, Deyon Bouie, as well.

He certainly is an OL coach. Is he that great of a hire? Doesn't seem to stick anywhere for very long and isn't exactly moving up the coaching ranks.

Pittman is an OL coach by trade. Absolute worst case, I am sure he hasn't forgotten how to coach OL.
Davis and Sam Carter are the two assistants (besides the coordinators) Pittman would lose sleep over trying to replace.

Brad Davis to LSU. Great hire by O and of course a huge loss for Pittman

Yeah Pribula was a Ciarrocca eval. I was baffled when they took him and hoped ND would get Allar so that QB room would really stink come 2022. Unfortunately, Franklin made his first good OC hire since Moorhead and then secured Allar who will battle Veilleux when Clifford is done.
-
I don't think so. Yurcich targeted Drew Allar and got him, and I think they're done at QB. It looks like Marchiol has OVs lined up at MSU and WV, but has nothing scheduled in Tallahassee (he never interacted with any FSU commits/targets when they had their Midnight Madness thing yesterday). He probably knows Duffy is just flat out better than him tbqh

He might be talking about Nicco Marchiol. FSU got AJ Duffy and probably doesn't care if Marchiol decommits.

90% Ohio St, 8% Bama, 2% Oregon imo

I think they can bounce back this year with Faalele returning, but Fleck probably made a mistake in staying at UMN after '19. He parlayed it into a big raise, but the staff churn year after year there has to have him internally vexed. I'm sure he expects it to a degree, but now their recruiting is plateauing (and possibly skidding with another bad season this year).
-
@golfclap We've talked about Dwayne Ledford before, but what do you think about Vance Vice at VT? He seems to make good evals and develop well, but he should probably stop hitching his wagon to Fuente if he wants to advance his career.

College Station just looks like Katy or Cypress with a huge university as its focal point. Most good recruits live in suburbs so they probably find it to be comfortable and familiar
