  1. The Week 1 slate has a ton of intrigue this year. That Thursday, my Scarlet Knights should take care of Temple and then Boise-UCF and tOSU-Minnesota are a good 1-2 punch later. On Friday, I'll definitely watch UNC-VT, and I'll give MSU-NW a shot. On Saturday at 11, I'll rotate between WMU-UM, PSU-Wisconsin, and Stanford-K State, though the first and last of those might get boring. Rice-Arkansas at 1 is a sneakily good game sandwiched between those and the 2:30/3 slate. Texas-Louisiana is my primary focus, and I'll give Bama-Miami a shot before it gets out of hand. IU-Iowa, WV-UMD, CMU-Mizzou, and even SJSU-USC have my attention as well. Following those, I'll give Oregon St-Purdue and Tech-UofH some attention before UGA-Clemson in primetime. UTSA-Illinois might be gross, but I'll still watch it. The trio of LSU-UCLA, Nevada-Cal, and BYU-Arizona will produce at least one good game to close out the night. ND-FSU on Sunday might not be bad, and Louisville-Ole Miss on Labor Day should be fun.

It's definitely something to keep an eye on in the 22 and 23 classes. I'd say the last elite class was 2019 with Ladson and Ngata.

2020 - EJ Williams was a good eval and he's going to be a stud. Ajou is a project that will likely not pan out.

2021 - Collins and Collins both appear to be depth fillers. Stellato is a wild card, could be really good. Will Taylor is allegedly an insane athlete, but jag until proven otherwise.

The loss of Jeff Scott is most apparent in WR recruiting, which is interesting because from all reports Tyler Grisham is significantly better than Scott from a coaching perspective. We'll see, if Clemson lands Randall, Greene, and Williams, I think a lot of Clemson fans will let out a sigh of relief. Not sure any of those three or anyone from 21 or even 20 is a Higgins or Ross, but it will at least be a step back in the right direction.

Who are the top 2-3 for Greene at this point? It's a great thing for Clemson that he seems to be saving on OV for them in the fall

He certainly is an OL coach. Is he that great of a hire? Doesn't seem to stick anywhere for very long and isn't exactly moving up the coaching ranks.

Pittman is an OL coach by trade. Absolute worst case, I am sure he hasn't forgotten how to coach OL.

Davis and Sam Carter are the two assistants (besides the coordinators) Pittman would lose sleep over trying to replace.

  4. I think they can bounce back this year with Faalele returning, but Fleck probably made a mistake in staying at UMN after '19. He parlayed it into a big raise, but the staff churn year after year there has to have him internally vexed. I'm sure he expects it to a degree, but now their recruiting is plateauing (and possibly skidding with another bad season this year).
