  1. believe it or not, michael wilbon not only picked okc to win it all preseason and has stuck with that, but beyond that he’s been banging the indiana pacers drum for a long time now. wilbon, who’s pretty famous for hating the analytics trend that has everyone seemingly trying to play the same way, has been praising rick carlisle and his offense all year, pointing out how it’s a different look than what teams are used to in the modern nba. people these days mostly think of him (and kornheiser) as just another pair of yelling heads on espn, but they both covered the nba for a long time (still do) and wilbon has been all over this.

    Poona Ford

poona ford is the toughest guy that jason kelce had to face, according to kelce:
  3. jorginho has been mentoring max dowman?
  4. and then the one time he pinned himself down to an issue it was, “if you believe something it means you’re willing to die for it”, which of course was a battle he lost in embarrassing fashion. people forget, but like 5-6 years ago he was nowhere near this bad. some time prior to that he even had a lot of useful shit to share with impressionable young men. his descension into this hypomanic, easily agitated idiot needs to be studied. his regression makes joe rogan’s regression look minor.
  5. i’m remembering now that i’ve had this once before and i really like it. not really my jam for this time of year, which is fine because i can just save the other three for fall/winter. i’m normally more into ipa’s, but i see why this is rated so highly. i only really drink ipa’s, scotch, and bourbon, and i enjoy sipping slowly, so this is probably as good as it gets for me beer wise without being an ipa. in fact i like this a lot more than many of my go-to ipa’s, but this obviously isn’t something i’m trying to drink very often. good shit though. imo.
  6. centel has been on a real heater ever since they started posting about the wnba. catching bodies daily.
  7. if we’re talking baby hands, mine is julius peppers after the 44-14 cole pittman game back in 2001. just some monster paws on that guy.
  8. about to try this for the first time. no clue what to expect. just going to dip it slowly and see what happens.
  9. let’s do an arteta check-in in this thread. as i recall, pretty much all of y’all wanted him fired after 18-24 months. i was the only one who still supported him and said that he just needed more time, and to get his own players in. since then, the “arteta out” talk has calmed down, but i haven’t exactly seen any real support or belief in arteta outside of my own posts in here. so do y’all still believe in him, or are y’all on that bullshit that everyone else in this forum is on, where you’re unimpressed with what he’s done, and you think we should blow up the entire thing and start over if we don’t win the league this year? i think it’s pretty obvious where i stand: we have one of the best managers in europe; he’s turned this club around from being old, poorly put together, and uncompetitive, to a young, world class roster that’s been super competitive, despite the board to this point not bringing in any of the strikers that arteta has wanted since gabi jesus. we’ve gone from getting blown the fuck out damn near every time we play the top teams, to being undefeated against the rest of the big six for 2-3 years in league play. only pep and klopp have been better than arteta during his time here, and only a fool would try to downplay or dismiss any of that. thats where im at. where y’all at?
  10. that last play has the be a bounce pass to a shooter who’s running towards the basket, even if it’s behind half court. the lob from there has a 0.00% chance of working.
  11. getting the assist while laying in the floor between his opponents legs is pretty iconic. it’s the kind of play that 25-30 years ago would have had me looking for a great photo of it in the next issue of SI.
  12. really interested to see what we do with max dowman this season. skill wise there’s little doubt that he’s epl-ready, but it will obviously take some time for him to adjust to the physicality and speed of the prem. it seems like we plan on keeping him here and playing him the cups and maybe even spot minutes in the league. i think i prefer for him to stay and train with the first team every day as opposed to going out on loan. really excited about his future though. he seems to have it all as an attacking midfielder.
  13. best episode in years.
  14. is there anywhere to watch the season debut if you didn’t have it set to record? i had no idea the show was coming back.
  15. lmao holy shit, this is exactly what im talking about. you see a tweet that references a bunch of arsenal’s best players all missing 3+ months and your response is, “oh some guys got hurt over the international break and didn’t miss any games, who cares?” lmao. i’m done. you’re so far gone. and you say that someone else here is “aggy”. jesus christ that’s rich.
