A lot has changed since I've thought about this, but isn't there some sort of presumption that any transfer made within forty-five days of filing bankruptcy is fraudulent?

My wife is a BR lawyer (primarily).  I'll have to refresh my memory on this next time I think to ask her about it.  I don't think Trump would declare bankruptcy while he's campaigning.

Won’t the fines be levied against the Trump Org and not Trump himself? And the independent monitor can sell off physical real estate assets within the jurisdiction to pay off the fines, assuming cash assets aren’t enough. I’m pretty sure the only individual consequence from this case would be a ban from doing business in NY.

And lol at the idea of Trump filing bankruptcy. His popularity hinges on the idea that he’s rich. He won’t give that up

Nor do I, which is why I put that in there. I think he is going to flame out in the Copa. We don't make it out of the group and look bad doing it, US Soccer will haver no choice but fire him.

I think this is pretty optimistic given we just let his contract expire and hired him back anyway

In 1997 the family of Ron Goldman won a judgment for $33,500,000.00 against O.J. Simpson. The most recent article I found from  a year ago, OJ had paid $133,000.00 and due to interest the amount owed was $96,000,000.00. That's one example. Collecting civil judgments isn't just hard to do against Trump and Alex Jones. It's the same trying to collect against "normal" people, too.

Except in this case corporate assets are already in control of an independent monitor preventing sale/transfer/etc so the state can actually execute on a judgement when appropriate

Federal courts are moving to seize 31 parcels of land in Texas, Washington, Maryland, Colorado, and New Mexico, which Mello allegedly purchased using ill-gotten proceeds. Also sought for forfeiture are 78 personal cars, pickup trucks, and motorcycles, among them a 1978 Toyota FJ-40 Landcruiser, a 1954 Maserati 124 GT Racer, and numerous Ducati and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Over $10 million held in various bank accounts are also being eyed by the feds.

So dumb. Should have withdrawn all amounts in cash and left the country. Buying houses in the US? Bank accounts? And she just kept showing up to work? It’s like she’s never seen any tv shows or movies about crime

The fact that everyone knew OJ murdered two people was functionally irrelevant to their thinking; it was all about the fact that in SPITE of the evidence being against him, he beat the system.

Don’t ignore the widespread corruption and hatred in the LAPD and that cops were caught manipulating evidence in the OJ case.

Wait, he did let him talk? FUcking why?

Maybe only because there’s no jury so there’s no harm done. The judge knows what made it into evidence and won’t be persuaded by any of that grandstanding. Also, one less issue for the appellate courts - I’ve seen judges go out of there way to grant every procedural/evidentiary ruling to a party only to grant judgment for the other side.

Apparently, dotard and his legal team haven't filed a single document of discovery in the documents case.

I mean it’s not that surprising they have no defense.

The email exchange between Trump's attorneys and the Judge regarding his decision to testify.  Just when you think the simulation is all out of ideas, they come up with this!

lol which brainiac attorney authored that? First of all - “justice”? Second, I’ve been a trial attorney for a lot of years and never told a judge, especially in writing, “come on. You’re being unfair”

He got exactly what he wanted. He never wanted to speak. He wanted to be able to claim he'd been denied his right of free speech by a democratic judge, and to fundraise on it.

Completely disagree. He’s not a mastermind. He just was angrily telling his attorneys what they should say in closing and when he was told “we can’t do that” he threw a fit and tried to do closing himself

Yeah no shit. No judge would allow a defendant who is represented by multiple attorneys get a chance to speak freely (not under oath) in front of the jury at closing. It shows zero client control that the request was made to the judge at all. The likelihood of a mistrial is simply too high among other circus related concerns

Honda has a couple of concepts it's working on for rollout in 2026 and they actually look like they are from the future and not something a kid dreamed up in the 1980s after watching Damnation Alley on KHTV Channel 39.

That, to me, is the only goal of the regular season

I understand this mentality but the goal has to be to win the damn conference. And that should be the reasonable/attainable.

My family was telling me to shut up when I’d chirp “Washington makes that throw/catch against Texas” but it was true. They played like hot ass against Michigan and played like NFL superstars against Texas. Fml.

This was absolutely true. Off balance throws escaping pressure were perfect and caught through traffic or off of deflections. Every bounce of the ball and ref whistle went their way.

And we still were one play away
