Then when he doesn't do anything the next time, the world will further know that his entire persona is just one big bluff.

The chance to play in Mecca and potentially be a hero in the biggest basketball city in the world. Not the decision I would make but not that shocking.
Not on that roster......

Still don’t understand the Durant to NY/Brooklyn thinking from his perspective. He’d make significantly more money in GS, win 2-4 more titles, have an infinitely superior organization, and live in a great city.
He’s leaving that for the Knicks?

in what state is his shoe contract taxed?
In the state of residence where it is signed. It's the reason a lot of golfers live in Florida. The taxes on their on the course winnings are taxed in the state the tournament is played in. However, their endorsement deals are their state of residence.

He'll be a non-resident worker in whatever state he lives in; he doesn't give a shit about taxes. Truthfully, I'm assuming he has a decent tax attorney at his beck and call.
Taxes are paid based on the municipality the game is played in. For example, a player for the Dallas Cowboys plays 8 games at home in Texas but 8 games on the road. He'll file up to eight different state income tax returns based on those locations. In the case of NYC taxes, they're on par with CA so that's a push in the Durant equation.
Also, players most definitely give a shit about state taxes. The stars might not because of other factors but mid level guys in every sport care.

I really like him and wanted him for the spurs but I'm not sure the sixers should be trading up to get another guy who can't shoot.
There's always room on the OKC roster for guys who can't shoot. They're prolly disappointed they couldn't draft him.

I hope he did this on purpose to fuck with Trump's head. He even used his right shaking hand. Ha.
I like how Trump is a supposed germaphobe but he'll raw dog a porn star.

Each day we are becoming something slightly more repulsive than the last.
Maybe all the evangelicals can take their summer mission trips to visit Trump’s Caged Kids and bring them toothbrushes and soap.

This will absolutely stick in his craw something awful.
It’s fantastic.
The sad irony of Donald Trump is he’s always craved the admiration of the glitterati but on his way out, they’ve shunned him and the only people that love him are those rubes who showed up in Orlando.

Michelle Bradley makes $5M a year to do an NBA pre game show? Jeez.
That’s worse than Billy Bush making $3M per year for doing the Today show before getting fired for Trump’s pussy grabbing.

Yeah, I thought that when they dusted off flag burning as an issue. That's the bottom of the bag of tricks at this point.

Good move for both Memphis and Utah. Memphis unloads Conley's contract and can start over and Utah gets the better player. They also get rid of Ted Cruz's bastard son.
These star contracts are getting as bad baseball contracts. It's not just the length and the money but rather how old they are towards the end combined with that salary number. Westbrook, Conley, Paul, Wall, etc. all have absolutely horrible contracts over the next few years.

The same Kevin McCarthy:

Sure, Gaffer believes there's an optimal level of taxation but have Republicans at any point in history said the tax rates are too low at either the state or federal level? Laffer was the architect of the Kansas experiment and even after it imploded, he argued they didn't cut taxes enough.

Trump rallys are indistinguishable from WWE pay per views.
Oh, no. You have to pay to get into those. Big difference in crowds.

The crowd at Trump rallies always looks like a regional wrestling match where they gave out free tickets at Arby’s.

^^^^^ 100% this.
Objectively speaking, it's amazing, fascinating, and impressive as hell. Best goddamned con-man I've ever seen.
Donald Trump knows what all good con men know and that's that the lie is easier if you want to believe it.

Always wondered how Florida isn't trending more blue given the demographics and then we went on a vacation to Orlando and also visited my MIL's friends that live in The Villages (despite being liberal). Just absolutely disgusting how many old white rich fucks flock there and keep pushing the state more Red.
That's what has been going on. Florida trended blue during the latter part of the 2000's because Boomers had to slow down their retirement plans so the influx of old whites slowed down. It picked back up as the economy increased to the point Florida is a Republican lean at this point, although the Puerto Rican's may balance that out but who knows?

I'll be if you ask them, they'd rant and rave about half of America supporting the other half. They'd never appreciate the irony of how they have all day on a Tuesday to go to a Trump rally.
Half of America doesn't do shit but it's not the half that they think it is.

He really is the slightly smarter black Trump. All the stupidity, ridiculous comments, and ridiculous actions. Just(as far as I know) without the massive criminal activity and probably a much better father and husband than trump.
I said that in the other thread. The thing that makes him most like Trump is the utter refusal to back down from stupid shit he's said. Ball and Trump both know that if you just keep repeating something to keep you in the news, that's the win in itself.

More understand it than you think. I remember it being a factor with Paul George. While OK has an income tax, it’s certainly not the 13% that CA has.
You are correct, though. Agents downplay this and a lot of these guys are in their 20’s and don’t think about it.
