Leon was a total jerk. But he’s memorable to me because that was Rocky’s season, the hottest stew ever on the show. Or the kid that Hannah talked into making bad nachos.

Kiko? He started put ok, but Sandy was hovering over him all the time and he just kind of spiraled before he listened to Hannah's stupid Vegas menu idea.

And they replaced Leon with Rocky before Ben came on in relief. Grenadine on the oysters.

Pretty much all those super popular red-pill self-help gym bro motivational types on social media still say that you should do all those things, just for yourself, not to impress women. Idea being that chasing women is un-alpha and detractive from your own personal goals and happiness. Which to me is actually not horrible advice, it’s just taken to an unhealthy extreme. Life is about your relationship with others above all, in my opinion.

You can probably chart the rise of this and the rise of guys like Andrew Tate and the male entitlement he's selling. Maybe that's a part of it. Maybe some ladies don't want to deal with guys like that. Maybe those guys have such unrealistic ideas of what woman should want or how to get them. I doubt Covid helped with that. It's probably worse now.

I think both sexes have unrealistic expectations.

Its funny but when we lived in Houston, I would have never ever gone to a city pool.  Austin's got a different thing going on with its pools, depending on where you are.

My office is a few short blocks from Ramsey Pool in Rosedale.  Come summertime it opens up and is a great place to jump in for a swim in what is some of the cooler pool water in Austin.  They use a big aerator thing to recirculate the water and, man, it could be 100 degrees and that water feels great.  I'll walk from my office and take a quick swim for lunch.  Its amazing, clean and free.

Its very old school, a bit run down (bathrooms are a time capsule) and quiet but its perfect.  You have to envy the people who are lucky to live right along Ramsey Park.  Place must be a perfect summer job for neighborhood kids.

Took swimming lessons there as a kid. Looks exactly the same today. Crenshaw's used to be just across the street.
