2021 NFL DRAFT
And this doesn't matter as the original report is from a Vikings guy.

2021 NFL DRAFT
It's not just giving up #3, it's giving up three years of first round picks. Rodgers was amazing last year, but he has shown signs of regression the previous years. Not everyone is Brady - there's numerous examples of QBs losing their zip on the ball relatively suddenly (Brees, Manning are just the most recent ones), so you are risking 2 and 3 years down the road cratering with your draft pick being high. And for the contract, it's 1 year left of guaranteed money, but there's been a lot of rumblings about restructuring the contract. I'm sure that Rodgers would want to change it up if he goes to a new place.

2021 NFL DRAFT
If you want better RB production, take OL earlier in the draft. The Bills need that more than a RB on offense imo. Also, there's no way that the 49ers would trade 3 for Rodgers. He's on a one year deal and, prior to last season, was slowing down a little bit. If it was for 12, that would make sense, but you don't essentially trade 3 first rounders for a 37 year old QB.

2021 NFL DRAFT
I will say, though, that I am wrong. Ossai did most of his damage to the LT, but it looks like Texas mainly had Taquon/Jones up against Jenkins looking at the highlights. Must have gotten caught up in remembering Ossai making some big plays. Still maintain that Jenkins is long-term a guard and isn't a tackle, though.

2021 NFL DRAFT
Going to respectfully disagree. There's a few highlights where Jenkins does really well on, but he does struggle quite a bit on speed and when he can't engage due to athletism/arm length. Watching some of the highlights, he also is going to risk getting called for holds with some of his handplacement where the Big XII doesn't tend to call it as often. The problem I have with him as a prospect is that, to me, it's highly likely that he bumps down to a G where he'll be good. If you are picking in the 1st, I'd tend to go with someone who has the potential to be a LT, particularly as studies have shown that it is the overall quality instead of individual players that make up an OL (i.e., can get depth better in second and later rounds).

2021 NFL DRAFT
To build on this, I've seen some indications that he is a bit stiff while pass rushing. Even with that, I'm surprised that Jenkins from OSU is going to go in the 1st. Ossai really dominated him that game, including the sack on the pivotal play.

They deserve the death penalty. Also, fuck the national media protecting LSU / Coach O. This was just a month ago:

BBC did an article about Sinovac and it's issues in Chile here: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-56731801 The relevant portion of it: The efficacy between doses is horrific and will be a huge issue in LatAm. They really should have gone with a single shot a la J&J or AZ

Chris Beard inaugural staff
Good move for both parties. Terry wasn't going to be the guy at UTEP.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
Would definitely suck to lose him. Also would be a really, really bad fit based on what Jimbo looks for in a WR. Seems like it’d be a transfer after sophomore year kind of situation when he’s just running jet sweeps.

Some of these flags are ridiculous. Be consistent if you are going to call ticky tack penalties.

2021 transfer thread
That's their 5th grad transfer, right (QB from PSU, 2 OL, 1 RB)? You would think this would mess with their scholarship numbers at some point.

It is kind of crazy how many Austin area prospects strongly dislike Texas and end up posting horns down, etc.

Building on this, looks like this is why UGA might be feeling some heat as well. From ESPN. https://247sports.com/player/amarius-mims-46079928/

They were 1 both in 2019 and 2020. For FPI, they were 2 in 2019 and 11 in 2020.

As someone who was rooting for Cincy, he did a good job of smothering them and adjusting in the second half. Any of the coordinators in the SEC are going to have some risk as the offenses really aren't all that great. That being said, Sark knows what defenses were pains in the asses to play against. Think that's reflected in him looking at Odom, Arnett, and Lanning.

Sark after dark COACHING STAFF thread
Slightly off topic question. How do these coaches taking other positions (Ash, Yurcich) affect the staff buyouts? If they take the job, are we still on the hook for it or since they left, they are voluntarily releasing the claim to that money?
