  1. I think it would be great if another local dealer made an ad poking fun at those ads. "And remember, veterans are only sometimes welcome at Derka Derka Dodge; not all of the time; just most of the time. I mean we gotta close up for the night at some point ya know. But as soon as we open back up in the morning, then all veterans are once again welcome to come on down and shop at Derka Derka Dodge."
  2. check out Jerami Grant's stat line: 10 points, 4 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl, SEVEN blocks. not bad for a reserve forward who averages 0.7 bpg.
  3. Lakers playing Bron, AD, Javale, Green, and Bradley. That's a big lineup, but when you have freaks like AD and LeBron I guess you can do that. Lakers are winning the title this year if they stay healthy.
  4. Beal and Drummond >> Tatum and Middleton. no-brainer for me. And yeah, I'd take Booker > Westbrook, it I understand why that didn't happen. also, Jaxson Hayes didn't take it very well when he found out that he didn't make the Futures Game roster. not a good look bro. you don't even play 20 mpg. you're averaging 8.5 and 4.5. you've got 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 block in your last 4 games. you'd think that with all of the "Mamba Mentality" in the air that he might want to vow to prove wrong the people who doubted him, but instead he opted to whine about it like a kid. you're a professional now Jaxson; time to grow up.
  5. They're pretty banged up right now so they've been relying on a bunch of guys who normally don't have huge roles to play big minutes and they're still winning. Every single player who played tonight for Denver scored in double digits. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
  6. LeBron is still such an impressive athlete. I'm a month older than he is, and if i go shoot baskets today then my bicep will be sore tomorrow. Ridiculous.
  7. yeah i was tripping earlier when i said that. it was all on ESPN. edit- wow i said it was on TNT twice. I just woke up at 9 pm, and clearly i need my coffee. /derka'd edit 2: maybe report my OP with a note about changing the thread title
  8. I'm just rooting so hard for Quin Cook tonight. I hope he gets a brilliant moment or two out there, preferably late in the 4Q.
  9. i find amazing Grace to be an incredibly boring song, so i really enjoyed what he did with it.
  10. that was the best, most moving rendition of Amazing Grace I've ever heard.
  11. Just the pregame ceremonies alone are bringing out the emotions. I'm hoping for a very close game and an incredible night, culminating with an epic Lakers win.
  12. I hope that Quin Cook is somehow on the floor and manages to hit a game-winning buzzer beater tonight. If not him, then LeBron.
  13. just unfair. totally unstoppable, and it's like he's moving in slow motion.
  14. Zion catches the ball with one hand *behind the backboard* and still finishes:
  15. yeah apparently he's straight RB depth. dunno wtf i thought i was reading.
  16. loquacious much? where did you learn to post, Derka School?
  17. didn't know he's never played on the left, i just read something from Ornstein re: Soares talking about how Tierny is still out, Kola has had injuries, and how Sako isn't a LB so it sounded like bringing him in as cover at LB is at least part of the plan. could be wrong though.
  18. wait a second- Andre Drummond didn't make the All Star team? what the fuck?
  19. i cannot figure out what Denver's ceiling is when their go-to guy is a big, doughy, plodding big man. not even saying it's ineffective, because it isn't; just never seen it before. with the game in the balance they have the ball in Joker's hands every single possession, and all he's done is score 10 straight points while being guarded by the two-time/reigning NBA DPOY.
  20. Jordan Clarkson is, dare I say, en fuego.
  21. some of the shots Jokic has made tonight...my lord. unstoppable.
