  1. Since they are used every day, non locking would surely be written up in the thousands of flights since the airplane was delivered. Besides, it would still have required bumping them once then again a second later. Not really a reasonable scenario. Especially since the other guy said why did you do that? The switches were put back to run just seconds from when they were cut off. Meaning the other guy saw the first guy do it. What an utter bastard.
  2. Murder.
  3. From the comments Yeah, not a former pilot, but I can't believe there's any procedures manual that would have you cut off both fuel switches when you are 100 feet off the ground. Think, McFly
  4. Gonna need a reputable source on that
  5. It will all work out. Have a McFlurry.
  6. The survivor said he heard the engine(s) rev up before impact. Could that have been the APU, or would there have been enough time to switch the fuel back on, relight the engines, and start generating RPMs? The whole flight lasted 32 seconds.
  7. If it's Calicut the Twitter responses to his leaving the state tweet should be a good read before it's deleted
  8. One of the speculation videos raised a theory that there was an engine failure on one engine that led to a checklist item to shut off the fuel to it, but they cut off the good engine. This too should be easy to tell from the flight data. You will see one engine crap out, followed by the wrong engine being cut off, followed by that engine shutting down. In that case you'd expect to find only one switch in the off position in the wreckage.
  9. It should be pretty easy to tell, if the console didn't melt in the fire. If the switches were both found in the cutoff position there's really no other explanation. If you have one I'd love to hear it.
  10. All these fan bases who hate Texas, some of whom saw us whip their team, are really motivated after watching us rake in talent and win more games than their dumb asses. For each school you are in a battle with it only takes one crazy deal to sway the decision. And we are in battles with seemingly different schools for every one of them. Maybe we should try not winning so much and we can recruit better. It also doesn't help that collectives are muted.
  11. https://theaircurrent.com/aviation-safety/ai171-investigation-fuel-control-switches/ Seems the fuel cutoff switches may have been intentionally thrown. Is this yet another case of murder-by-pilot?
  12. There ain't no driver
