So CSB or not so cool.  One of my clients is a huge Trumper.  Like did New Years at Mar a lago and was showing me pictures of his family with Trumps family.  He told us how he was playing golf at Trump National and was in the group behind Donald Trump.  My client tells us the whole round Trump's forecaddies would drop his ball right in the middle of the fairway like 30 yards farther than what he actually hit or drop a ball in the fairway even when Trump hit a shitty shot into the rough or out of bounds.  He said he was talking to his forecaddie and the guy said all of the caddies know that when they caddy for Trump they have to carry extra balls in their pockets to place on the fairway in case he hits one in the rough and Trump acts like he actually hit it where they drop it.   The frustrating part is the guy telling me this just laughs about it as "isn't Trump a funny guy" where I look at it like "what a fucking cheater Trump is".

Right in time with the strange line of questioning of Stormy where Necheles was trying to get Stormy to testify that Trump was a great golfer.  Then he comes out in is Friday departure comments going on about how Biden sucks at golf, can't hit it 100 yards, how his (Trump's) body is god-like and Biden is scrawny.  Such a insecure little weasel TFG is.  And it's all shit that intelligent people see through with no trouble.

Victoria is calm out there. She’s nails on the buzzer which is what’s giving her the advantage. And she is clearly ultra prepared. She’s who I would pick to win right now.

Yogesh is a good counter example. He plays with a lot of emotion and a chip on his shoulder. You can see it when he can’t get the buzzer down and he flails around with it. He's smart and prepared, but he can’t get the buzzer in and that’s why he’s not quite there.
quick reminder - the buzzer was why he bad mouthed jeopardy in his first run and a lot of people didn’t want him ever to see the stage again, including Holtzhauer.

Yeah, I get way annoyed watching him flail away at that buzzer.  It distracts me more than it should.  But yet again tonight he won, even with the only faulty buzzer.

If I get 3 or 4 right answers a round at this level, I'm doing pretty good.  It seems to me that the answers are harder now than they were maybe 20 years ago but then I understand this is the champion level, so questions would reflect that.

I remember watching this with my grandmother back in the 60s when Art Fleming was the host.  And then Hugh Downs followed in the next time slot with Concentration.  Or I might have those reversed.   Still, fond memories.  She never watched soap operas, only game shows.  My other grandmother was the opposite, all soap, no games.

  3. Unfrosted was enjoyable to me, but then I fall into the targeted age range.  Otherwise too many gags would leave someone younger scratching their head.   But it was cool how they were able to meld time periods into a scene, like the mascots rioting.    It didn't happen a lot, but now and then they got one in.

Those two are pretty dumb. Thanks for posting them as it's good to see the spectrum.

The first conflates sympathy for the starving, displaced, and/or blown up Gazans with support for Hamas. The hammer and sickle on her shirt is a nice reminder of the extreme dangers of socialism provided by people bent to the will of Russia. Shame they don't get irony. The world would be a better place if they did.

The second may be accurate as to what the protesters are claiming. I honestly haven't followed it closely. It's dumb because of the relative danger posed by Nazis and wrong-headed college students.

The first one is cynical. The second is just simple-minded.

Considering who posted which, it's spot on analysis.

I think it's funny that Trump caught so much shit for none of his family being at his trial, that now Eric, and only Eric, has to show up every day.

I don't see Jr being able to sit that long without getting a hit of coke hourly.  Plus no way Jr can even get out of bed in time to attend.  Ivanka is the only semi bright one, distancing herself.

Doesn’t matter. Lock him up the next time he violates the gag order. His supporters are lost souls. Fuck their feelings. Do what’s right for the sake of everyone who’s still sane.

It might actually wake some people up and grab their attention.

  6. This thread is like a reset after spending time in the squalor that is the Deion thread.  Excellent example of two different types of humans.  Earl always gave his Momma credit for raising him right.  I agree.

  7. Lil' Dribblers starting kids so young on regulation size courts, even with lowered baskets messes with their mechanics, I think.  Having to heave the ball from the free throw line at 8 or 10 is a lot different than at 16 and up.  Looks to me like her shot is a mixture of that young heave and adaption as she grew up.

Since it's aggy related... An random aggy Instagram man-whore claims to have had an affair with Nick Saban's married daughter, Kristen. Said he's being blackmailed by some random person who has questionable sourced pics of them hugging each other, while he's wearing a t-shirt with Saban wearing a crown. WTH and who cares?

If she is married, why is she still using Saban as a last name?   Doesn't strike me as a feminist type.   No wedding band either.  Guess she could have taken it off.  Shrugs.  Just all seems off.

  9. I really thought Sanders was going to use his popularity for a good thing when he started pushing the HBCU as a positive, and hopefully increasing their popularity which in turn would expand the opportunities for more athletes to get higher education.

When he abandoned them as quickly as he did, it was obvious he was using them as a steppingstone to a bigger platform to promote his kids, himself or both.   That move just made him even more despicable to me.

There is nothing gracious about this person.  I think of Jim Brown, Ali and others who put themselves in the line of fire for standing up for the civil rights of people of color.    All Sanders does is promote himself and his legacy, which is sad, considering how much good he could do if he wasn't so narcissistic.   Pretty much the opposite of Kaepernick.

Point taken, but balance is key.  Stay vigilant, but don't raise everything to Defcon 5.

And do something about it, other than protesting.  That's my biggest problem.  If you see a problem take active, measured steps to try to change it.  Raise your hand if you think UT is going to divest of weapons manufacturers because some students held up signs and chanted slogans?

Wanna make a difference?  Go to school somewhere else.  I don't mean that in the sense of giving up, but rather speak with your dollars.  spend your tuition money at a school that aligns with your beliefs if you need to.  I have no issue with that.  But protesting...lame.

Bottom line, if you what change you need to change the bottom line.

What other institute of higher learning is there in the state of Texas that is perceived as a hub of a critical and oft liberal thinking?   There is no other, and for decades students and faculty coming to UT Austin has meant for them a place to imagine and push for a better world, generally for all, not just the uber rich.  It has been the history of UT students and academia to speak up when they disagreed with something.  And the bigger the injustice the stronger the response.

I do not agree with your recommendation that people simply move on.  UT has always fought for the right to change the world.   This is just another example of that, and I see no problem at all with some peaceful protestation remind UT admin what the University means to so many.

  11. Here's a couple maybe it's too early to read classify yet:

I'm thinking Josh Heupel is moving towards the Good category considering the Vols seem cleaner now and he's definitely got his offense moving in the right direction.   He also uses respect for other teams without selling his out.

Joey McGuire might be Good if he learns Tech's place and quits shit talking other schools.   But I'm leaning more towards Bad for him, because I doubt he'll change.  Watching him and Dykes will be interesting.  That should be a natural rivalry there.  Private rich school vs 2nd level state school.  Both with 'aw shucks' kinda coaches.

It wasn't out of the kindness of his heart, I can assure you.

Probably wanted to alert Pecker that he now had the tallest building in NYC.

  13. Seems like Cohen told stories about how Trump used mafia style intimidation like sending thugs to threaten in person?  Maybe that was Avenatti making some shit up.   If he was/is so frugal, seems very likely he'd send some heavy to lean on someone before buying someone out.

I hope prosecution got some proof of that and will include it into evidence.

She has publicly described what his junk looks like, if he's going to deny sexual relations with her, it seems pretty obvious to me how to prove whether she's telling the truth, but please, please, please, no.

What are the odds Trump will try to use a picture of Hunter's junk and claim it as his own?

This drives a lot of the Hispanic vote in Texas.  The idea of Trump's machismo.

Every time there's a story of him running out of cash it's not surprising, the best part is what happens next.  You move to the anticipation of what the next grift will be, we've gotten sneakers, bibles, 5% cuts from down ballot folks, what's next?

    Women of Trump calendar?

Team Dotard seems pretty screwed here. Good luck with that one juror who gets his news from Truth Social, I guess.

They're seriously going to argue that Trump paid $130k in hush money to someone he didn't have sex with?

I wonder if they intend to use the "definition of sex" defense Clinton used?

I’m not as pessimistic as y'all but either way him having to sit there while 2 of his mistresses, Cohen and Hope Hicks talk shit about him will be glorious.

Another point of interest will be in how Melania reacts to all this being aired in public as factual testimony instead of being able to brush it off as gossip or hearsay.  Everything in this trial will be good fodder for her divorce case.

Stupid question amnesty:   imagine this has been discussed ad nauseum, but how can someone convicted of a felony not be able to vote, but can still run for an elected position?   He can run for president, but isn't allowed to vote for himself?

  17. I went into the two different Post Office facilities in Huntsville the other day to check on renewing my passport.  I could not believe how poorly kept the buildings and grounds were.    Understaffed, underfunded now, these places used to be showpieces for the US government.  Now they just look shabby and worn.  Which then in turn reduces the citizen's confidence that their mail will in fact go through.

I know it hurt in Houston during the primaries when it came to getting applications for and then ballots by mail.    I imagine it was all over the state to some extent.

All because of DeJoy and his bullshit.

Ok, I know this is a dumb question.  And I know the answer is "because aggy"...  But what exactly is it, that they believe we have done *to them*?  Other than things in our own best interest, not specific to them, which all schools are (or should be) doing?

It would be interesting to poll A&M fans, UT fans and those who don't have a dog in the hunt and see what the predominant answers are.  And then sort that according to each of those groups.  It

I would guess aggy would say:

Arrogance, lack of respect (the meanies thing Deej brought up)

UT pays off officials for unfair advantages.

    BOMC machine, including LHN

    Unequal distribution of PUF

Stockpiling talent in the DKR years

    Unfair recruiting in general.

But it would be entertaining to see what the different groups thought were the base of the hatred or inferiority.

Maybe do a similar one for why UT disdains everything aggy.
