  1. And the hits keep on coming for Team Trouble. An Achilles tear is not good. May finish him for 23-24 season as well.
  2. For those of you who are unawares, Ja livestreamed himself at a strip club with his gun.
  3. Silly question without reading the entire article, but why wasn't Ja arrested and charged?
  4. Yeah, 538 says a lot of things. I do worry about Denver's defense in the playoffs. They have zero rim protection on that team among the regulars and that's going to bite them in the playoffs. Last Thursday, in a game they beat the Cavs 115-109, Denver shot 17-36 from 3 while the Cavs shot 6-26 from long range. Despite that huge disparity from 3 the Nuggets won by just 6 and the game wasn't decided until the final minute. Now, maybe most games in the playoffs Denver will shoot about 50% from 3 while their opponents shoot about 25%, but I doubt it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't trust that defense in May and if Denver isn't efficient on offense they are done because they're not going to be able to stop anybody.
  5. Dude - the guy has won two straight MVPs. I guess I’m just missing this rampant disrespect towards Jokic that you’re seeing.
  6. Well, when you realize that you have over $100 million committed to the team next year before you even think of re-signing Wood and Kyrie, I'd look like that too. Not sure how you can fix this as they look like for a quick 4-0 or 4-1 exit in the first round. Does today's debacle make the Mavs 1-4 when Kyrie + Luka play? and the one win was against the tanking Spurs so that doesn't count.
  7. If there's not a "take my talents to South Beach" phrase uttered in the next few days, I'll be extremely disappointed.
  8. this is what I've done. Set my alarm for 5:20 am and knock them out before my shower.
  9. If a team needs a defensive stopper on Steph...
  10. No they are just legitimately bad. One of the low key bad trades in recent memory is the Vucevic trade. What a disaster that trade has been for the Bulls. They still suck and they gave up Wendell Carter and a pair of lightly protected first round picks…the first of which turned into Franz Wagner (who is terrific) and the second will be a top 10 pick this year. And as a result of picking up Vucevic, the Bulls got rid of Lauri Markannen (now an All star) for virtually nothing. Just a really bleak picture for the Bulls’ future - a single tear runs down my cheek…ha.
  11. I agree with the first part - but maybe not the "easily" part. There are several horrific contracts out there that will be punshing teams for the next several years: Beal - 5 years, $251 million Lillard - 5 years, $258 million Ayton - 4 years, $132 million Tobias - 2 years, $76 million KAT - 6 years, almost $300 million Duncan Robinson - 4 years, $74 million Bertrans - 3 years, almost $50 million Hayward - 2 years, $61 million
  12. I get that everyone likes to clown Javale Mcgee. But Andre Drummond is more McGee than McGee. Poetry in motion - just a beautiful game.

  14. And this was before tonight’s beatdown in NOLA. The Cavs will forever be in debt to KPJ. Because KPJ was such an asshole at USC (when Evan Mobley’s dad was staff), the Mobley family made it clear they did not want Evan going to Houston. So KPJ is on Houston (busy making friends there) and the Cavs luck into far and away the best player from that draft class. He’s made a huge leap over the past month and really should be an All Star.
  15. And not only this but before he was famous his family life was unquestionably fucked up. Never knew his deadbeat criminal father and Gloria was more interested in smoking crack than being a mom so she fostered him (I've always suspected that part of Lebron's enmity towards Steph is just how different his childhood was vs Steph's - that hatchet seems to be buried now though). Fortunately for Lebron, he happened to be blessed with otherwordly talent so that very likely saved him from becoming a statistic - the foster parents cultivated Bron's foray into hoops and the rest is history.
