  1. I think the concern is sark pulling a sark. If he runs basically his version of a spread style offense we might have a good shot - I mean we still have to execute and make people miss in one on ones - but we do that odds of beating UGA goes up tremendously. Pull that slow developing shit and UGA may knock arch out of the game.
  2. They are high enough they would probably have to drop both to fall out of the playoffs imo i think BYU, tech, Oregon and ND are the more likely to drop out with only one loss. Everyone ahead of them is pretty entrenched.
  3. That’s an awesome DKR quote and is so true
  4. And possibly 2-3 that rise above us in the interim. No one is pissing their pants. it’s all possible but it’s a lot.
  5. Oh I am accounting for it. 9-3 is going to be really difficult to make it. And most in the top 10 who lose aren’t going to fall below a Texas team that also lost. anyway I don’t need to keep arguing. 9-3 is a fools bet imo. Could win that bet and Texas gets in but I wouldn’t count on it. But if it happens it will be a helluva November to watch the mayhem. So I’ll be here for it.
  6. Possibly, but it will take 3-4 losing imo for Texas to go from 15 or 16 to 10.
  7. It’s not hard to comprehend. If we lose to Georgia we will drop from 11 to 13, 14 maybe 15. Lose by 10 handedly with Georgia taking a knee it could be 16. How are you rising from 14 to 10 in the last two weeks? Texas then has 3 losses look how many teams in the top 25 have 3 losses right now - one. now more will as time goes by but Texas isn’t staying at 11 in two weeks if they lose to Georgia, I’d bet 3-5 spot drop at least.
  8. Pretty much and the variations with a 9-3 record has to include all the what ifs above and below Texas and that’s a pretty complicated set of variables.
  9. I agree mayhem will happen to an extent, but that includes Texas dropping again before rising. 3 losses was always going to be a tough admission. And even if the sec gets 5 we can’t sleep on OU they have 2 losses and we have 3? Fuck that noise. We probably need Big 12 to eat their own, ND to lose, OU to lose, if Iowa or USC beat Oregon they can be a problem rising after a Texas loss. UVA or Georgia tech rising if it’s only one so what. Point is we probably needed to be 8-9 now to absorb a loss. More k think about it all the mayhem that we would need as a 3 loss team, yeah no way I’d count on it. we need to finish 10-2. That’s where I think this goes.
  10. Yes but it’s quite complicated. We lose one we drop, we win the other we rise. No one is factoring the drop with our rise. We need multiple in front to drop (because we have to absorb one loss), you need multiple behind you not to rise, except one ACC team they are in no matter what so a rising ACC champ is irrelevant. assume we lose to Georgia in a good game, I bet Texas drops 2-3 and OU if they win are above us probably 1-2 more teams. Now we need as many as 4 to drop for Texas to get in if we go 2-0 to end the season. Or the committee to simply leap frog a 3 loss Texas team above 2-3 teams just because they beat A&M. That’s asking a lot.
  11. No one disagrees with any of these but add Texas might drop one. It’s pretty clear 10-2 we are in. 9-3 and it’s gonna be a wild ride as Texas drops and rises again or rises and then drops. 9-3 is possible but no where near a clear way in. and if Texas drops one more you gotta start looking behind Texas for more losses like OU, Vandy, etc. Put it this way, I would not bet we are in at 9-3.
  12. 11 in the last in at best. If the ACC rises fine, Texas still has to rise one if the ACC lands at 10 or 11. The net effect is the same. ACC gets one no matter what, they aren’t going to see a meteoric rise and if they do Texas still has to rise one even with one more loss in either scenario.
  13. Why do yall tell people to calm down and stop being a pussy? Everyone is just spitballing Jesus. Y’all are dismissive cunts.
  14. Maybe if Georgia Tech beats Georgia I’ll give that one but the point is ACC gets a spot no matter what as a top five conference champ. They aren’t getting two so in any event ACC is irrelevant to Texas right now. And Georgia tech and Virginia are the likely ACC champ game. Both aren’t getting in. Gotta climb one spot no matter what. ACC won’t be the issue. Big 12, big 10 and ND are the focus
  15. No read the rest of my post. ACC isn’t going to take a spot straight up at least not against a 2-1 Texas down the stretch. They don’t play anyone. They will boot someone out like Texas today. That’s their best case.
  16. Dude - there is no ACC team in the top 12 straight up. None is leaping over a 2-1 Texas team down the stretch. They don’t have teams worth a shit to beat except Pitt and Pitt isn’t jumping 10 spots and leaping Texas if Pitt beats ND and Texas beats one of A&M or UGA especially knowing Pitt will likely lose another game too.
  17. Oregon has Iowa and USC too.
  18. Upsets will happen you can bank on ND, Oregon, tech or byu falling enough what we can’t really gauge is the net effect of Texas going 2-1 there will be a drop then an ascension or vice versa but who knows.
  19. ACC is unrepresented in the top 12 so those upsets don’t matter one makes it in and takes a straight up top 12. You have to be 10 or higher this year, that’s going to be hard and fast fact this year. ND loss BYU / Tech loser drops enough - might need two losses? Oregon drops to USC, who else do they play? and of course a net gain of at least one after Texas loses one big game and wins another. if ND wins out and Oregon wins out, it’s gonna be tight. Fingers crossed the big 12 shits the bed down the stretch I guess.
  20. March madness facsimile auto bids nonsense the rando 5th conf needs to be ranked imo
  21. Trying to do the March madness thing. If an unranked team gets in 12 isn’t enough spots or don’t fucking lose to Florida.
  22. So SEC has 4 already in this list. big 10 with 3, Big 12 with 2, ACC 1, ND and Memphis (rando conference). 10-2 we are in. tell me how we get in at 9-3? Need Big 12 and Big 10 to drop one, Georgia and A&M aren’t falling out even if we beat one of them. BYU, Tech, and Oregon are the ones we could leap frog - Texas wins and their losses - but win a big one lose a big one…. 9-3 is gonna be tight.
  23. Sec champ is getting a bye no doubt and some nice fuck you mouth breathers trophy hardware

    Getting old sucks

I'm in that fiddy-ish range, I'm down to 2-4 drinks a week. but reliably enough that alcohol isn't foreign to my body. last night I had two mescal margaritas, nothing crazy not crazy strong, tasty not super sweet, holy fuck I'm hung over. I could curl into the fetal position and moan and groan my way to sleep right now.
  25. What do I think? Every year Sark either drops a game his team shouldn’t or they have an inexplicable run of bad game, close call wins. I think much of that is attributable to his ego and his insistence young players some not quite NFL caliber, some definitely NFL caliber run his slow developing schemes and our offense gets body slammed into the ground. I’d like it to stop. I think sark could be nearly unstoppable with PK if he’d just be a college offensive play caller and run the four min offense, out of the shot gun with 3 wide with the TE and RB as route runners or in pass pro. You know a pretty standard high octane, all gas no brakes college offense. as for the rest of it? CFP makes November a hell of a lot of fun. Not sure A&M is mid but they are going to have their first serious competition Thanksgiving weekend and I’m here for it. big 10 has always put me to sleep and still does. Shit league tbqh. who cares about the ACC, not sure the Big 12 has top teams but tech is proof NIL has democratized talent acquisition. Texas has everything it needs to beat Georgia and I’m actually going to be pissed if we lose esp if it’s because sark’s ego gets in the way. fuck ou.
