  1. if you pay the hooker you gotta tip the maid. pretty sure it's in the rule book.
  2. 2 second google search: https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/sugar-substitutes-new-cardiovascular-concerns unsettled science does not mean it's benign and safe. burden of proof should always be on the substance if its not a natural food, not the other way around.
  3. nice substantive response. I'd love if if you ignored me. thanks.
  4. you need better private deal flow. 20% returns or GTFO.
  5. stop with the false dichotomy bullshit. you can not consume lead and not consume artificial sweetners at the same time and of course lead is worse. to your broscience comment - first all of the artificial sweetners taste terrible. second sucralose and others like it are an industrial produced chemical and an ingredient that makes a food an ultra processed food. there are some studies that suggest artificial sweetners can increase inflammation (consistent with other industrially produced chemicals), impact insulin sensitivity, impact intestinal lining and therefore the gut biome, etc. now there are studies to refute that as well, but unsettled science isn't broscience, particularly when the product under study is a for profit man made chemical (not questioning science but I am recognizing where and how studies are funded which often leads to unsettled science). Furthermore, if you are taking an approach of trying to be extra healthy and focus on as much of a natural foods diet as possible, then there's no reason to consider sucralose and other artificial sweeteners as benign especially with natural sweeteners like monk fruit are available. And that applies to the protein powder to begin with, natural food sources are much better and the only reason to partake in whey powder to begin with is because it's pretty difficult for many (myself included) to get the protein intake that current science suggests we consume. but frankly with the lead disclosure it may very well be best to suck it up and eat more lean protein and leave the powders and shakes behind.
  6. I won’t be picky about it.

    Getting old sucks

Especially when watching finding Nemo? With your grand kids ?
  8. 100% he's got a brighter future than being a battering ram for the matador OL.
  9. I would but I think it has artificial sweetners. but if that's not a concern, its def higher quality and is recognized in that report. Muscle tech product appear to have it as well. i really don't like artificial sweetners - their taste or health impact. most protein powders have them, I really don't understand how/why health products put that kinda crap in them.
  10. hey its protective against radioactive shit, so maybe it has health benefits.
  11. The consumer reports article I linked has nice visuals by each brand and protect telling you how bad or good it is. Highly recommend a scroll. It’s how I found mine was “okay” and “safe” for 1 3/4 servings per day. Fuck that noise.
  12. I was on their website and found diff products with reasonable calorie counts but it was late I might double check. I just need a simple whey product, no sugar no sugar alcohols least amount of processed bullshit. Optimum Nutrition whey powder was mine it’s ok but fuck that I want no lead in my health products.
  13. Good times, ugh… https://www.consumerreports.org/lead/protein-powders-and-shakes-contain-high-levels-of-lead-a4206364640/ ours is 1 3/4 per day limit to avoid lead beyond CA levels, which are admittedly very stringent. Muscle tech shows no detectable lead, pricier but I think we will switch from optimum nutrition whey protein to muscle tech. everyone should check their brand out and make a decision.
  14. Nice humblebrag. Well done, truly.
  15. you're drunk, stop posting. and stop drinking hef it's cold outside.
  16. 55-60 for me. But I’ll work for fun. Just less hours.
  17. Fantastic fabulous super calafragalistic expialadocious… whatever just give me the fucking stock options at $50 per share god dammit.
  18. I think I read 40% of ALL Nvidia employees are millionaires and the average millionaire is with well above $1m. Nuts.
  19. Yeah stock options at the peak aren’t as inciting plus companies get stingy when they are rolling in it. They gave massive stock option grants to keep talent when it was at its lowest. Those guys are worth a ton now, some with mid eight figure wealth, I know 3-4 with nine figure wealth.
  20. I’d be a fabulous senior VP or corporate VP but a shitty rank and file which is how I would have had to start. It’s really an impossible task for me to be an employee. At this point though if I get an offer that’s a high enough level I’ll consider it but it’s not like I’m sitting on my ass the last 20 years either.
  21. I’ve turned down job offers with AMD about 15 times and several times when their stock price was in low double digits. Yay me.
  22. There’s at least 5 that have fuck you money. At least. There’s probably 20-30 that have north of $10m and dozens more that are north of $5m. As for lawyers, if you’re mid career and not working for the government and you’re just now poking above $1m you’re doing it wrong. And the $5-10m+ range isn’t counting pending inheritance. Oh and a pension is effectively like a low seven figure net worth as well. This board has a wide variety of folks and a lot of active users most of whom graduated and went on to build pretty nice careers with their prestigious degree. there’s some real money on this board.
  23. I’m here because I wanna be with that gal in the silky something something by the pool.
  24. And if you don’t think he’s drinking you’re living in “fantasyland” …
  25. We waited too long to ditch the “errybody clap yo hands” tape at the disch. I could see his frustration with change as he aged as a fan. I grew up with him as the only crowd organizer at games. Clapping to disrupt the pitcher or starting a Texas Fight chant, he was it. As a kid I thought he was the fan we should all want to be, with an affinity for leadership I aspired to be that guy when I grew up, the one all the fans followed. I did grow out of that simple world view but it’s true he had a lasting impact on me as a Texas fan, fact is some of my happiest childhood memories involved following his lead cheering on the horns to a victory at the disch.
