shitty throw behind Watson, turns him around, he has to recover

a throw Uncle Rico could make 10/10 times

if that timing is different by just a hair, I doubt there is the collision of 4 players, causing Watson to fumble

took my 10 year old down to a spot in Lytle just south of san Antonio.  We had access to a huge field of sunflowers.  The sheer volume of birds was absolutely argentina levels.  Kiddo shot about 400 rounds, and hit 13 birds.  Not bad considering he'd never shot a shotgun, nor ever fired at a moving target ever.  Everyone else easily limited out.  I hadn't been bird hunting in so long I had forgotten how fun it was. Can't wait to go back.  I need to get a new gun for me and the kiddo.

I have a few Remington 870 Express synthetics, new in the box, never fired, for $250 if anyone is interested. Centex area.

We are in 11 personnel, they are covering 5-wide from 3-3 Nickel.

The play is Ohio on the top of the screen.  CJ has a go route with LJH running a quickout behind him.

On the bottom it's Slot Cross.  Brewer will run a quick cross with Duvernay running a Dig behind him.  Watson is off the camera, but he's probably running a go.

Maryland initially shows Man2, but they betray the blitz and Man1 prior to the snap.

The protection call doesn't matter at this point.  It becomes Solo, man blocking.  It's not an easy pickup: the LG is out leveraged, and the RG/RT have to cross a defender to pickup their men.

Snap.  Blitz comes and is picked up nicely.  The safety rolls down to cover LJH, he looks late but the camera cuts it off. More on this in a second.

Focusing on Brewer.  If this were zone, he's supposed to just immediately go into his cross - getting across the field as soon as possible and settling in past the LB. In man, he's got to run it more like a quick-in, which he does.

There's nothing particularly beautiful about the route if it were just run like that against grass.  It's not particularly crisp, he bumbles through the stem, and he takes like 5 stutter steps to break down.  But what he does right is play the defender: he pressures the outside shoulder, gives a quick jab to turn the defender's hips, and crosses his face at a sharp angle.  He actually comes out of the break deceptively fast for how slow he went in.  The result is open and room to run.

Back to Sam: his progression is (1) CJ if he wins off the line - and eyeing the safety, (2) LJH on the out, (3) Brewer over the middle, (4) Duvernay in the space behind Brewer, (5) Watson whatever he is doing.

When CJ doesn't look clean, Sam should immediately hit LJH.  I don't think the safety gets there in time, and there's a beautiful passing lane.  LJH has no room to run, but it was a simple pitch and catch.  Maybe Sam is just at another level and knew the safety abandoning the deep half with the mismatch on Brewer was destined for 10+ yards. Maybe the safety was closer than the camera allows us to see.

For whatever reason - and it works out for us in the end - he finds Brewer more open with no deep help, hits him perfectly, and Brewer's off to the races as much as a TE can be.

    This guy fucks.

AND HE KNOWS THE FORMATION, TOM!

  4. Jesus Christ, look at the play at 1:23 left. No awareness at all. Easy pitch and catch to 2 guys.

We’re passing into a 3 man box repeatedly. They bring pressure he holds it and rolls out away from half his WRs. There’s no hurry in CFB, time stops to move the chains. We should have run the damn ball right up the middle.

Why the fuck is he not running. That’s his strength. If he dies, he dies. We’ve got 3 more.

CJ and LJ need the ball every down. Keaontay and Tre need the damn ball. I don’t fault Tre at all, he got clobbered.

DD needs shots over the top. This lateral passing, invariably behind the receivers is maddening. CJ can’t or won’t block, stop asking him to.

stop telegraphing what you’re going to do. Every damn time Jamison or Moore came in we went to them. It is so fucking obvious.

QUIT GOING 5 WIDE WITH PORTER OR BECK!!!

[augie] WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING OUT THERE!!! GOD DAMNIT!! THIS ISNT SOME FUCKING GAME!! THIS IS YOUR LIVES!!![garrido]

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME

I am in a hurry...milking the rental car game through insurance (see pics above of my now totaled 2014 Sierra) but the gig is about up and I need some normalcy and not bouncing between rental car (when I have my kids) and my ‘89 Chevy single cab (when I don’t).

Think I’ve narrowed it down to a Sierra 1500 SLT or F150 Lariat

Would be open to buying used but not sure I’m going to find exactly what I want.

When do the rebates really start happening on the 2018s?

I bought my 2014 right around this exact same time of year 4 years ago as the 2015s were starting to arrive (sept 10 to be exact)...that seemed to be a good time to balance decent selection with decent rebates.

At this point, I need to buy something within the next 7-10 days so I guess my decision is really down to taking current rebates set to expire on Labor Day or wait and see what comes out the day after? (2014 I recall some sort of new NFL season promotion GMC was doing the week between Labor Day and first NFL Sunday)

If you’re in Centex, my go to is Covert in Bastrop. Recently my buddy got Covert and Chuck Nash in San Marcos playing off each other and he got an SLT down all the way to 39900
