    It is.  I didn't write the sentence very well.  It's supposed to state that, in a room with 23 people, you have a better than 50/50 chance of at least two people sharing a birthday.    Binomial coefficient.  (23/2) = 23X22/2 = 253 pairs of birthdays in 365 days.

    Are you a great big fat person

  2. I don't know if other cities do this but mine will give you a separate water account for irrigation. I don't pay sewage on it, saving about 40% on water costs.

    It is connected to my sprinkler system, and I have a valve where I can insert a key to connect a hose so I can water my garden and spot water with a sprinkler to specifically target the driest areas.

    If you have a large yard or garden it might be something worth looking into.

    This. I'll work my whole damn life saving up a nice chunk of change only to die of a heart attack the day after I retire. Just watch.

    Happened to my buddy. Sold his business for millions, bought a ranch, 5 beachhouses to rent/live in, a Shelby Cobra, racing Vettes, bikes, and everything else he could ever want.

    Came back from an epic fishing trip to Alaska (while Harvey battered Texas) went to Port A and saw his dream beachhouse and the rest of them leveled or heavily damaged, had a heart attack and died that night. Less than a year after retiring.

    Fuck you Harvey

    Calling my shot: I'll bet the Travis County DA won't be closed minded about ultimately charging them with capital murder, and making a deal with the trigger man for life in exchange for testifying against the two of them. Or life for them for fingering the triggerman if the cops can't figure out who it was.

    Sec. 19.03. CAPITAL MURDER. (a) A person commits an offense if the person commits murder as defined under Section 19.02(b)(1) and:

    (1) the person murders a peace officer or fireman who is acting in the lawful discharge of an official duty and who the person knows is a peace officer or fireman;

    (2) the person intentionally commits the murder in the course of committing or attempting to commit kidnapping, burglary, robbery, aggravated sexual assault, arson, obstruction or retaliation, or terroristic threat under Section 22.07(a)(1), (3), (4), (5), or (6);

    (3) the person commits the murder for remuneration or the promise of remuneration or employs another to commit the murder for remuneration or the promise of remuneration;

    (4) the person commits the murder while escaping or attempting to escape from a penal institution;

    (5) the person, while incarcerated in a penal institution, murders another:

    (A) who is employed in the operation of the penal institution; or

    (B) with the intent to establish, maintain, or participate in a combination or in the profits of a combination;

    (6) the person:

    (A) while incarcerated for an offense under this section or Section 19.02, murders another; or

    (B) while serving a sentence of life imprisonment or a term of 99 years for an offense under Section 20.04, 22.021, or 29.03, murders another;

    (7) the person murders more than one person:

    (A) during the same criminal transaction; or

    (B) during different criminal transactions but the murders are committed pursuant to the same scheme or course of conduct;

    (8) the person murders an individual under 10 years of age; or

    (9) the person murders another person in retaliation for or on account of the service or status of the other person as a judge or justice of the supreme court, the court of criminal appeals, a court of appeals, a district court, a criminal district court, a constitutional county court, a statutory county court, a justice court, or a municipal court.

    (b) An offense under this section is a capital felony.

    (c) If the jury or, when authorized by law, the judge does not find beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty of an offense under this section, he may be convicted of murder or of any other lesser included offense.

    Sec. 12.31. CAPITAL FELONY. (a) An individual adjudged guilty of a capital felony in a case in which the state seeks the death penalty shall be punished by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for life without parole or by death. An individual adjudged guilty of a capital felony in a case in which the state does not seek the death penalty shall be punished by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for:

    (1) life, if the individual committed the offense when younger than 18 years of age; or

    (2) life without parole, if the individual committed the offense when 18 years of age or older.

    (b) In a capital felony trial in which the state seeks the death penalty, prospective jurors shall be informed that a sentence of life imprisonment without parole or death is mandatory on conviction of a capital felony. In a capital felony trial in which the state does not seek the death penalty, prospective jurors shall be informed that the state is not seeking the death penalty and that:

    (1) a sentence of life imprisonment is mandatory on conviction of the capital felony, if the individual committed the offense when younger than 18 years of age; or

    (2) a sentence of life imprisonment without parole is mandatory on conviction of the capital felony, if the individual committed the offense when 18 years of age or older.

  5. It wasn’t me, but I saw a dude crush a worm burner directly into the edge of a sidewalk cart path that cut across the middle of the fairway and the ball rocketed backwards about 100 yards.

    I was laughing so hard think i peed in my pants a little

    Do it!

    I have one and love it.  Mine has a Sage EBR stock/chassis on it right now.

    I've considered getting another one or swapping back to a standard stock, but either way it is a great gun.

    Depending on your needs, also look at the Scout Squad version - it's an 18" barrel vs. the 16" on the SOCOM.

    Similar feel but a bit more performance at longer ranges.  Either way - Buy it!

    PS - They are now offering their standard 22" M1A in 6.5 CM which is as natural a combo as peanut butter and jelly.

    nice

    Wish they would have shown what he tweeted after this one:

    Goddamn that is an entry for post of the year!!!

    Odd looking snake. Not a rat or bull snake. I think it is a hognose.

    Went to the Kentucky Derby this weekend, hit the bourbon tour on Friday. Stitzel-Weller distillery, now Bulleitt, sat in Pappy’s old office and enjoyed some 10 year. On to Kentucky Artisan Distillery, home to Jefferson’s, which was a fair experience, and then on to Buffalo Trace for the last tour. We encountered special Derby mid sized bottles of Blantons literally flying off the shelves but limited to one per person and no time to stand in the long checkout lines before our tour, so I hid quite a few of them around the gift shop prior to our tour, and with other members of our group following my lead, we all went thru the line multiple times after our tour to acquire more than one per person......with customers asking where we got them and clerks saying I thought we were already sold out.....

    Onward to Saturday where we were twisting off at the race all day..... before the most exciting 2 minutes in sports a vendor comes by with a tray of mint juleps and my buddy hands him a couple hundred and takes the entire damn tray of juleps (literally, the dude just took his straps and walked off) for our box....it got a little hazy after that. Damn good time.

    I finished a bottle of Belle Meade 11 yr Single Barrel.  They labeled it as cask strength, but it's only 110 proof. Probably misleading labeling there, but still a pretty good product. I recommend picking it up if you see it for retail. The 9 and 10 year single barrels should be pretty good as well.

    For those of that have visited Buffalo Trace, what's usually for sell at the distillery? I read they were starting to get cute with Blanton's, one bottle per visitor. Possibly no more filling up the suitcase runs to Kentucky.

    Sorry for partying.
