Phee and Alyssa Thomas have been talking shit back and forth all game.   I love it.   Phee comes across as quiet but she definitely has an edge.   She aint backing down from one of the most physical players in the game.

Wow Nalyssa was very close to the rim on that slick pass from Gray.   Almost kinda dunked it LOL.

OH wait LMAO.  They just showed it from another angle.   I promise I'm not smoking anything.

It's okay if you are. Or were.

What in the fuck is Malika wearing? Is she playing bass in an AC/DC cover band later?

Just started the game.   Aja buries a 3 to start things off.

Nalyssa Smith has been a great addition!!

I turned it on at half.

Just got to the end of the 1st.   Boston is a beast and is giving Aja plenty of trouble.   She did the same to Briana Jones in the ATL series.   She is a LOAD!

A'Ja is on a different level than anyone else in this league right now. She's a freak.

I'm not sure what her comp is. The two-way dominance (and team-dragging) reminds me of 2018 LeBron but they don't really profile similarly. She's kind of like prime Duncan/KG? But relative to her peers she's more athletic than Timmy and bigger than KG.

Wow, this is by far the worst game I've ever seen Aja play

EDIT:   I'm at the 3:30 mark of the 3Q

This was 51-51 and LV just hit another gear

Felt like it was due. Indy was mucking the game up and LV was playing sloppy. It's clear who the better team is imo.

Think LV takes this in 4.

Finally catching up.   You cannot be only tied up with Aja being 1-11.     And you MOST DEFINITELY cannot go 8 mins without making a shot.

Reeve just lost her mind and got tossed

They have been letting Alyssa Thomas rough-house Collier all series.   I kinda get her flipping out.

She said it might be a fracture. And called for a change in leadership in the officiating

I didn't watch any PHO/MIN because FSU/UVA was so good. PHO had it wrapped up by the time I thought to flip back. I'll try and check in Sunday but it's Ryder Cup weekend. Either way I'll tune in for Los Finales.

These playoff games have been incredible.

Anyone that claims to like basketball that shits on this league is a clown. From a basketball standpoint that Fever/Aces game was almost identical to a good SS or EE men's March Madness game. It was chippy as fuck and full of badass shotmaking and playmaking. These girls can ball. I think I like watching A'Ja play almost as much as any men's player right now. She's a sick athlete.

And it's full of WOMEN who are petty as fuck and fighting for better pay and a better CBA and a lot of them are trying to be IG models on the side. The drama and entertainment oozes off the screen.

If it's not anyone's cup of tea then that's fine - I definitely understand why people don't like the NBA, for example. But for anyone that loves men's college hoops (gross) or the NBA - if you can't get into this shit you aren't being honest with yourself and probably have some personal biases to work through.

I posted not that long ago about how I think women's hoops is the next breakthrough big sport akin to UFC that younger generations are going to fall in love with. I stand by that. Here are some good tidbits:

Mounting an unexpected playoff run without Caitlin Clark, the Fever are still setting new viewership marks.

Tuesday’s Fever-Aces WNBA semifinal Game 2 averaged 1.7 million viewers on ESPN, marking the largest second round playoff audience since Comets-Sparks Game 2 on NBC in the 2000 Western Conference Finals, and the third-largest overall. The WNBA has had at least two rounds of playoffs prior to the Finals dating back to 1999.

The Aces’ series-tying win was also the most-watched second round game ever on the ESPN family of networks, surpassing the previous high set by Game 1 of the series on ABC Sunday — which drew 1.4 million.

Games 1 and 2 increased 51 and 157 percent respectively over last year’s comparable windows, Aces-Liberty Game 1 on ABC (929K) and Sun-Lynx Game 2 on ESPN2 (668K). Keep in mind that this year’s numbers have a built-in advantage over prior years due to Nielsen’s new “Big Data + Panel” methodology and February expansion of out-of-home viewing — though that is unlikely to fully account for gains of such size.

The Fever routinely set viewership records throughout Clark’s rookie season last year, but that did not extend into the second round of the playoffs thanks to an opening round sweep at the hands of the Sun. It should be noted that this year’s second round viewership still trails last year’s opening round Fever games, which featured a healthy Clark and averaged panel-only audiences of 1.8 and 2.5 million.

The Clark-less Fever account for the three-largest audiences of this year’s playoffs, with their opening round Game 2 win over the Dream ranking third at more than 1.5 million.

Placing fourth, Tuesday’s Mercury-Lynx Game 2 averaged just shy of 1.5 million — up 51% from Aces-Liberty Game 2 on ESPN2 last year. Game 1 of the series drew 716,000 on ESPN Sunday.

The full WNBA postseason is averaging one million viewers, up two percent from last year and up 164% from 2023. Viewership had been down 15% through the first round, which at 943,000 was still the second-most watched ever on the ESPN networks.

I know I'm preaching to the choir a bit as I think there are only 3 actual WNBA fans that post here but it remains wild to me that there are men who will willingly watch regular season Colorado Rockies or Washington Wizards games that won't give the W a chance or feel the need to shit on it.
