Tom Herman lacks killer instinct

it is worse than that

he goes for it all at the wrong times like last year in the 1st quarter against LSU when it was 0-0 he goes for it instead of taking the 3 like he is coaching a G5 team and of course does not pick it up

then today there were several times he should have gone for it like on the 3rd and short when Texas finally had a little momentum back after doing a ton of stupid shit and letting OU back in the game and instead of going for it there is a blocked punt

he just has no grasp of the flow of the game or when to make the right call to take a chance

there are plenty of other examples of him going for it when points would be better and then not going for it when it would really matter

Sometimes the binder gets misplaced and he has to sorta just spitball.

yea that just makes it all the worse

the binder would clearly say take the 3 points on the opening drive at home against LSU (where you lost in a close game and that 3 points out there on the score board would ahve changed a LOT of things that LSU did during the game)......but instead Tom goes for it and of course does not make it

I am not sure what the binder would have said a couple of times today, but I knew he should have gone for it before the blocked punt....it would have been less costly than the blocked punt even if it totally fucking failed

he just has no feel for the game or his team and all of his statistical bullshit is just that because he never uses it

sort of like talking about how Texas knows they can throw the deep ball today.....and yet the deep ball was pretty much NEVER there and in fact was shitty and costly all game

Both coaches should have gone for 2 during any of the OTs. These Big XII coaches put too much faith in their defenses. You trust the strength of your team (the offense) to pick up 2 yards to get into the endzone instead of putting your prevent defenses out there.
