  1. On pace to average around 50 points after 2 tourney games 🤢
  2. Yeah Terry is done and he knows it. But this was always going to be the ending - the interim is never the right guy. It's too hard to recover from losing Chris Beard within only a year...Terry will have to be the patsy for this program for a year or two.
  3. Such an underwhelming champion. Washington was right there with them for 3.5 quarters despite being completely one-dimensional. It's all about matchups. Texas would have matched up nicely against Michigan while Washington was the worst matchup because they were capable of winning with the passing game and didn't need to run. Our defense's strength is stopping the run. Michigan and Alabama's offenses are based on the run so if we shut that down then McCarthy and Milroe wouldn't have beaten us in the air like Penix did.
  4. Should have taken a delay of game or intentional false start to move back and get more room. Always hard to score at the 10 yard line when the defense knows there's no longer a threat of a run
  5. There are few things as guaranteed as a TCU WR being a bust in the NFL. Josh Doctson, Jalen Reagor, now Quentin Johnston. The Air Raid system makes them look better than they really are in college but they have NO game for the NFL
  6. Texas owns Klieman...gonna miss playing against them. Guaranteed win everytime
  7. Defense does not look good at all. We all knew Houston's offense was going to be one-dimensional but they still torched the defense through the air. Fortunately, BYU and K-State don't have really good offenses though so they should finally get a break
  8. UCF and TCU...great decisions to have your uniform blackout game in September when it's still really hot outside 😬 Sonny Dykes looked completely lost out there. Perfect example of a coach losing you a game
  9. Baylor is terrible and I think they should be very worried about falling behind in the new Big XII in football. If anything, Scott Drew is probably smiling right now because he can use this to get them to add a few more dollars to his contract
  10. These Pac teams are gonna run up the score on Colorado when given the opportunity. It's not like they're gonna see them again in future years
  11. MM is better and seems more comfortable when he's running the show like today. I don't like playing armchair station PD but if these were the budget pieces that the station/Cumulus was forced to use for the midday makeover (MM, Bass, Mino) then I'd have kept the 10-12 and 12-3 timeslots the same. They could have made MM the new Norm to host 10-12 by himself and then have a fun 12-3 show with Donny/Bass/Mino and Monty producing. MM is already used to doing a show by himself in Birmingham and this would have allowed the station to introduce and promote him to the Ticket audience as an individual personality instead of forcing a new pairing.
  12. Good career for Ty. When they went from 3 ticker anchors to just 2, that's when I'd have left. It's one thing to work a low-paying job if it's just a few hours a day but from 12-7, you might as well get a regular job or do something else worth your time.
  13. Norvell is bad. I went from being impressed with how he had his team looking in the 1st half to completely doing a 180 in the 2nd half. There's a reason why he'll probably never be anything more than a below-average G5 coach. Colorado still has a lot of flaws and holes on their roster from the previous regime. Weak in the trenches on both sides of the ball and they have no running game. If they struggled tonight vs. a bad CSU team, I wouldn't expect them to do much against the Pac-12 heavyweights or even middleweights. But the 3-0 start gave them a good chance to get bowl-eligible so I can see them getting 3-4 more wins in conference play.
  14. Ref wanted to get inside to some AC as soon as possible...I respect it
  15. I just want someone, anyone (new midday host or weekender) to step up and embrace being a trusted sports personality to continue to give the station some sports credibility. With Norm gone, it's pretty much just Bob now. Jake was also starting to trend towards that category but now, everyone else is just "the guy in the next cubicle over" with generic takes and analysis
  16. Auburn looks good so far...at least we're still the unofficial #KickerU
  17. Beating up on JT Daniels is becoming a yearly tradition for Texas...doesn't matter what team he's on
  18. Love seeing that Kendal Briles fail! What a choke job on the final drive as soon as they crossed the 50. You could see how they predictably thought they should just run to burn clock/Colorado timeouts and it cost them. Move the chains and worry about managing the clock once you get inside the 20.
  19. Hahaha yeah I've decided that Ticket Reddit is worse than any sports team's discussion board/forum. At least fans may have played the sport at one point in their life and there are so many resources to review games, film, etc. Not sure how many people bitching about the station/Cumulus actually know anything about the state of the industry and the business. Yes, Cumulus sounds like a shitty corporation. I'm not defending them but it is what it is. Welcome to the corporate world, especially radio in 2023 where it's an ongoing struggle. Hell, even major media networks like ESPN are feeling the dollar crunch and have had to lay off a lot of their talent. If you're a successful AM/PM drive host in a top market then you're probably doing good because that's where the money is made in advertising and audience. But if you're a producer/board op/etc. then the pay just won't be there for those roles. There's nothing that local management like Catlin can do about that because it's an industry-wide standard. Some companies might slightly pay more but in the end you'd still be better off financially working a full-time office/professional-type job. The fact that people are even complaining about a lack of a "bench" or "farm system" for a radio station is hilarious
  20. Ticket Reddit is a cesspool and My Ticket Confession is now nonstop D&J/Cumulus litigation talk so I'm out on both 🤢
  21. 1st segment from Sean and Mino already so much better than Donovan and MM. I can see this being really good, especially once Monty joins. In fairness to Donny and MM though, it's really weird for MM to go from a show in Birmingham on Friday to a new station/show on Monday (at a remote in California at that).
  22. Yeah Sirois blew it and it sucks because he would have been great as a full-time host and interacting with the others on trips, Campounds, etc.
  23. It's really the only move they could have made. Optics would have been so bad, especially in the coaching community, to not give him the job after the tournament runs. If he doesn't pan out in 2-3 years then so be it, we can just start over and find the long-term solution. The candidate pool is kinda weak right now overall as we're in a transition phase of college basketball. A lot of the old legends are leaving the game and new up-and-comers are still trying to prove themselves with results.
  24. Just too bad...he was ready to put them on his back for a championship run. We needed him to punish Miami's small lineup. If Cunningham was giving Miami problems then Disu would have dominated
