Austin Celiac Dining

So after a couple of years of figuring it out a bunch of auto-immune issues, the wife was formally diagnosed with Celiac disease late last year.  It has made dining out…… uncomfortable.   Most places say gluten-free but cook on same surfaces etc etc.

We’ve found some obvious places that work. Gluten Free kitchens like ATX Cocina and The Well.  Some of the new Med places like ABA and Peacock.   A couple (not all) sushi restaurants will agree to avoid cross contamination and seem to be OK.  Same with good Mexican.  Matt’s and Las Paloma’s are strong.  But we’ve gambled and lost a few times, too.

So curious if any Surly Celiac’s have found any hidden gems that know what they are doing with severe Celiac allergies.  We are trying to shake up the rotation.

Thx.  That one is good.  Seems Burnet does a better job than South Lamar.  Was thinking more like "normie" restaurants that cater to the Celiac.  If you like Matt's El Rancho (I do), they do a great job.  Guero's does not.  They have a GF menu but cook everything on the same surface without cleaning it.
