  1. I'll lead this off with the lamest question I can think of: What's the water filling station / water fountain situation? Do they let you bring in empty bottles to use for water? I'll do a full report on all the fried debauchery I consume as penance.
  2. The remote takes some getting used to, but I like it. If you haven't watched Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix yet, the picture is incredible. I've read you're supposed to let it break in for a couple months before tinkering with settings, so I'll wait a bit.
  3. Bought myself the 65" on Black Friday. The picture on that thing is magical. Now with the PS5 my son got for Xmas plugged in, holy hell.
  4. That looks perfect, thanks. Here's a link with some other options as well: https://bigtex.com/patios-in-the-park/
  5. Ok. Just trying to figure out if he's talking about posting up by the beer garden, or by the main stage?
  6. If I'm looking at the map right, the Magnolia Beer Garden and Chevy Main Stage are two separate areas, correct?
  7. For those going to the Fair but not the game, what's a good game-watching spot? Somewhere with plenty of seating, TVs, easy access to beer and a pisser.
  8. We love our Purple 3 but yeah, give a test run first. The rubber grid stuff feels odd at first, but you get used to it. Didn't notice it after a week.
  9. This is a very subjective topic, everyone is different. Depends on a lot of different factors: body shape, size, weight, back sleeper, stomach sleeper, etc. Just because I love my Purple 3, doesn't mean it's gonna work for you. That said, the wife and I went thru the same process of trying Casper/Bed in a Box/Tuft & Needle/and some others I can't remember. Sent them all back. Tried a Purple 3 in a store and loved it. It's a little pricey, but you can't put a price on good sleep.
  10. I took delivery of this one last week from Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Interbuild-Acacia-6-ft-L-x-40-in-D-x-1-in-T-Butcher-Block-Island-Countertop-in-Light-Oak-Stain-669278/309409301?MERCH=REC-_-pip_alternatives-_-312360362-_-309409301-_-N It got really banged up in shipping, so I had to return it. It seemed like a quality piece of wood otherwise. Like you said, for just a desktop, it's not like it needs to be indestructible, just enough to hold a monitor and a keyboard. Lowe's also has them: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sparrow-Peak-Spice-Stained-Acacia-6-Ft-Island/1003137364 And then the Ikea offerings: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/karlby-countertop-walnut-veneer-70335212/
  11. I got these for Christmas. Can report they successfully cut meat: https://www.amazon.com/Chicago-Cutlery-1139101-Precision-Steak/dp/B08L6Q9799/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=chicago+cutlery+steak+knives&qid=1612277036&sr=8-8
  12. I got this one from Office Depot a few months back: https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/604924/WorkPro-1000-Series-Mesh-Mid-Back/ I've been happy with it. Similar ergonomics to the Steelcases and such. The only thing that's not adjustable is the seatback height, so you have to make sure that lumbar curve sits in your back right. I bought a memory foam seat cushion to prop me up a little more so the lumbar curve sat in my back better.
  13. Has anyone had an existing pool enlarged? House shopping now, really want a pool, but the pools at houses in our area trend on the smaller side. Just curious if that's even feasible, and how cost effective it would be, cheaper or more expensive than building one from scratch, because I could see it both ways. And I don't mean a complete renovation of the whole thing, I mean trying to keep as much of the existing pool as possible, and just extending one end or side to better maximize pool space.
