Missing inside with the screw ball every time. It’s an easy adjustment and I’m sure they will get it fixed between innings

Doesn’t really matter but they didn’t count one of our runs - should have been 14-4. They didn’t count Bella’s run in the second inning on throwing error before the home runs
The run didn’t count because Maloney was called out for interference which killed the play and sent Dayton back to 2B

So would you throw TK or Citlaly tomorrow knowing the other is facing OU on Saturday
I probably save CG for OU because TK walks are an issue against OU
it’s gotta be TK tomorrow and save Citlaly for OU. The Sooners hit speed and rise balls with authority, which makes it a tough match up for TK.

I cannot wait to be in the SEC. No more ESPN+ for the conference tournament day 1-3. SEC Network is top-notch production, including having Scarborough, Mendoza, Mowins and Smith doing pbp and color.
Pete Souza and Natasha Watley are doing the Big 12 tournament games on ESPN+, which Eric Frede and Madi Shipman doing the champ game on ESPN2. Madi Shipman and Natasha Watley are fine, but we couldn't get a couple of former Big 12 players (Cat? Erin Miller??) to do our conference game color commentary instead of a former SEC player and a former Pac 12 player?
I'd say Cat and Erin Miller are probably 100x more knowledgeable on Big 12 programs than Shipman and Watley.
To this day, Natasha Watley is the best women's softball player I have ever seen. Go search her highlights on youtube and prepare to be amazed at how fast she played the game.

It's not just pitching - Steve Singleton deserves a huge raise; someone is going to try to steal him.
This X 1000...This is the first Longhorn team in my lifetime that I have seen make in bat adjustments. Players seem to go to the plate with a plan and be able to execute the plan accordingly. Being able to make those adjustments is what made OU so good for so long. You could get them once or twice, but they were ready for you the next AB. Singleton is going to kill it at some point as a HC.

Ole Miss has been shitty for 10 years. Shocked that Kentucky laid an egg like that in the SEC tournament
-
I was shocked to see Ole Miss beat Kentucky last night. The SEC as a whole is down this year....Tennessee is capable of beating anyone with their pitching, but the decline after them is quite steep.

Agreed as well. I'm thinking Katie C (real shame if so IMO), Vanessa Q., maybe Ryan Brown.
I agree on these three, especially Brown who may decide to get closer to home and find playing time as well. I could see her ending up somewhere like UTC or MTSU, where she could be a star with her power numbers.
-
Scott, Henry and Maloney would be the fastest outfield in the NCAA next year. I also suspect we may lose a couple of the girls to the portal who hope to find more playing time.

Mia's flexibility and improvement on defense is a real asset to her and the team. She could easily slide back to the OF if needed or stay at 3rd.
She looks like Xavier Worthy in the face, but I don't think she runs like him. LOL

Don’t forget OU graduates 10 seniors this year. Texas should be one of the best in the SEC next year, along with UF (underclass heavy team as well)
UF will be good with the return of Rothrock, but Walton is a dick and will undoubtedly find some way to screw up the team chemistry. They also lose Skylar Wallace which is a big hit in the middle of the infield and batting order.

I don't have any of the 2025 recruits on my radar - hell, I forgot we had more than Cambria incoming for 2024 because it is a tiny class. Considering we are only graduating 4 seniors and returning so much production (top 3 starting pitchers + returning starters at 6/8 defensive positions) and one of those seniors (Washington) is just going to be replaced by last year's starting 2B (Goode).
It is a good problem to have when Texas is only looking to replace its lefty bullpen specialist and LF.
Pitchers: Kavan, Gutierrez, Morgan, Salmon, Simpson (maybe)
Catcher: Atwood, Stewie
1B: Stewie, KC, Joley
2B: Goode
SS: Vivi
3B: Scott, Joley
LF: ??
CF: Henry
RF: MaloneyMy guess would be Wallace gets first crack at LF if we don't go portal hunting for a third OF or move Scott to RF and put Joley at 3B. Scott's defense has really improved substantially the latter half of this season.
I think White has to find a way to get Hunter into next seasons line up. Her bat is going to be a big part of protecting Stewart and Atwood next season. Team should still be really fast, and Hunter will provide some added pop.

I liked the Kevin Hart line about Giselle taking six hours of Karate a day and still being a white belt.

We already carry a large pitching staff (5 pitchers) with 4 getting most of the work. So you’re not wrong, if we get a lefty specialist, Mac could transfer. TK, Gutierrez, Cambria is a hell of a top 3 staff
Also have Hannah Wells coming soon and she will be a force at the plate, and in the circle. Coach White is starting to get it rolling on the recruiting trail at a level we haven’t seen here in a while.

I was watching that game, and when he was ejected, they escorted him down the RF line, thru a gate and into the area where fans are allowed to stand and watch the game. From Ocala to Tallahassee, Florida is basically Oklahoma with palm trees. Lucky this didn’t end up far worse.

They somehow are supposed to be one of the last teams into the tournament too
They’re one of the last teams I would put in the tournament. 😂

Embarrassing….A school at this level should not be this bad. Their pitching sucks, their hitting is bad, and I’ve seen low level travel teams play better defense. We are going to beat them by 3 TDs

Radar shows t'storms on outskirts of Norman between 12:30 - 2PM. Heavy rain overnight but hopefully will clear for 3PM game. Lubbock looks good for Sat.
@Js1 @FloridaHorn Any thoughts on why Kenny G elected to start Aycock in game 1 and then Kilfoyl ? Plans to pitch both all 3 games ?
I honestly think Kenny was saving Kilfoyl for today and willing to take a few lumps yesterday. OU let it get away and now Kenny holds all the cards for today. I’m sure Patty will throw Nicole May, and if the Pokes can lay off her change they have a great chance to go up 2-0 in the series.

Bizarre stats for OSU-OU game. OSU walked 8 batters and had 3 errors.
And OU had 1 hit until the 6th inning. I’m sure OU knows they can play better, but Kenny can sell the same to his team. Gonna be intense today.

That was obvious obstruction, the catcher was blocking the plate prior to the ball being thrown. Replay has not been our friend tonight.

Texas needs to quickly regain their focus and get ready for a really tough match up on Wednesday. TxSt is looking to solidfy a top seed in the post season, and this game is very important for them to do that. Hopefully Mike don't play around with the line up the way he has on several mid week games this year.

Pro-tip: If you're going to call someone out then provide examples of why what I said is wrong. Nobody has done that so far..
The examples you are looking for are literally scattered throughout multiple post on this site. It's ok to be wrong, just accept it and try harder next time.

Yeah, that secured a nice top 8 seed. Pitching really solid
7 runs in three games for the land thieves. Incredible performance by our staff. Need more offense moving forward, but we scored enough to win.
