With Friday's pair of games against top-10 opponents now in the rearview mirror, Texas (7-0) now turns its attention to North Carolina (1 p.m. CT / ESPN+) and No. 18/18 Kentucky (6 p.m. CT / LHN) on Saturday, Feb. 17.
- Saturday's weather forecast in Clearwater, Fla., has a high probability for rain, so any potential schedule changes will be announced on the program's social media accounts.
I skipped out on going today, due to the forecasted rain. As of now, just light drizzle off and on. Tomorrow will probably be a wash out.

I needed to see us win a game with pitching, considering our offense last week. Citlaly answered the call. We beat two top 10 teams and our “ace” pitched 1 inning of the second game. Citlaly + Teagan = legit tandem. Teagan had 9 K in 4 innings. I guess Mike wanted to get everyone work, or she could have pitched 1-2 more innings.
They are a perfect tandem because Citlaly throws the drop and Kavan is a rise ball pitcher. Back them up with Simpsons off speed and you have a chance to keep hitters eyes moving.

Ok State is pretty strong. FSU and Georgia are hot and cold, and LSU will never be a threat as long as Torina coaches there.

This team is scary good. Saw it in person. Deep pitching, speed and power….and the defense is better as well. Atwood is an all American, and the HR that Stewart hit is the longest I have ever seen at that park.

I will be in Clearwater tomorrow. Unsure on Saturday and Sunday due to weather concerns. Looking forward to seeing the team up close against some really good competition.

That’s a lot of offers we’ve given that kid. I think we should spread some around, but I’m not the expert.
Don't worry about the numbers.

I was using the same hyperbole folks were using for me.
I never said there's no chance Kenny Baker would be good, but to suggest it wasn't an underwhelming hire and had a slight smell of desperation to fill a position of need is the type of sunshine pumping that would make Looch proud.
Ask it another way, who here was legit excited when Kenny Baker was announced as the hire, and why?
BTW, "trust Sark", "he's from Georgia", and "Fangio hired him" are not reasons to be excited...they are rationalizations.

ok cool, Hook’Em.
So, Sarks Gay and Dbeasy has the Covid...and our pet's heads are falling off.

Saban fucked up hires. Urban Meyer screwed up hires. Kirby Smart hired Bobo back as OC. Even guys that win titles get hires wrong for one reason or another. I've hired flops before when I was in a spot where I knew what I was doing and the firm I was with or leading was kicking ass. I think questioning hires like this is merited and anti-groupthink. I find it comical that people here are driving by with comments about people being critical of the hire. What is this board supposed to be doing right now if not analyzing this? The aggiest shit ever is to immediately parrot that the coach, any coach, should be blindly trusted with this kind of move because ... reasons.
This is where I sit. I personally have never heard of the guy, and I find his resume to be a bit underwhelming. That said, I will reserve final judgement until I see the what Coach Baker does with his time here.

Well, prepare your anus. Apparently only full blown excitement is acceptable today.
@SydneyCartonIf I have time today I’ll try to do a little research and at least suggest one name who I like more based on their resume and who isn’t obviously not a candidate, just since you issued the challenge.
Maybe Sark is having the same issues as LCHorn. He is simply too busy to research better candidates than Wright.

This is SOP for UGA for anyone they want but don't think they will get. I've heard this same story about dozens of recruits.
When these schools cry about losing another player because someone else paid 7 figures for them, it is nothing more than a sales pitch to get their fans to poor more into the collectives. Saban openly asked for additional funds, and now Kirby and the rest of college football are following his lead.

Glad we dodged a bullet in 2013 and didn’t hire Saban. This seems rough for them.
I agree, 3-4 MNCs would’ve been hard to deal with.

This is a tough break for @Wulaw Horn and his patented "You heard it from me and everybody laughed at the time" maneuver.
It clears his schedule so he can tell us how Jett Bush will be drafted now that he has declared for the draft.
