  1. I was thinking about "good" hires yesterday and remembered Joe Wickline. I was convinced he was a home run hire. And then he wasn't. TLDR - I don't know shit about fuck.
  2. We haven't signed one either.
  3. Milwee is probably his own category. It's striking that Sark, Flood, Banks, and Choice are among the best coaches in the country at their position. Davis was the only defensive coach in that conversation. If I had to rank them it would be something like: Flood Choice Banks Kwiatkowski Jackson Joseph/Gideon Nansen and Baker are TBD and there's a pretty big gap between Jackson and Joseph/Gideon. I don't really know where to put Milwee.
  4. On the bright side, Baker probably coached against most of A&M's incoming portal transfers while at Western Kentucky.
  5. Someone's going to do it so it might as well be me... I suggest your mom. She's a sack master. She's good one-on-one, but isn't afraid to take on a double team. She knows how to use her hands, is good with twists and stunts. Has a quick get off and knows how to finish...
  6. Don't be an asshole. Tell me about his forearms or GTFO!
  7. He's a good take, but it looks like the difference between him and Collins is similar to the difference between Murphy and Collins. There's a pretty big gap there. Murphy, Collins, and Sweat all improved 10ish points over the previous season so if he shows similar progress he'd have a really good season. If Collins does the same he's in Sweat/Murphy territory. That's a big if though.
  8. I lived in Samoa for a while in my 20s. I'm reasonably athletic and was in pretty good shape and regularly got my ass kicked in the village rugby game by 9th graders.
  9. Nice to see Bama fans adjusting well to the post-Saban era. I can't wait to see how they react to actually losing a game.
  10. So they've had like 27 players, the new secondary coach, and now the AD enter the portal?
  11. Bama is hard to project. They've recruited really well on paper, but have had to rely on the portal for WR and RB and their OL isn't very good. They are probably still top 5 in overall talent, but it's uneven. They could follow the Ohio State path under Day where they are deeply flawed, but still top 10. They could follow the OU path under Lincoln Riley where they kept up appearances for a couple of years while slowly falling out of contender status. They could look like LSU/Auburn where the stars align for a championship run and then everything goes to shit. None of those would surprise me.
  12. UW loses a ton of talent and will take a big step back next season. Also, how many coaches would pass up Bama to stay at UW?
  13. I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure that's not how going sober works.
  14. DeBoer seems like a really good coach, but there were some odd aspects to his team. They had a bunch of older guys and yet their defense wasn't great. Despite having an elite passing offense, they weren't effective running the ball. It could be a fluke, but someone like Norvell seems like a much better bet.
  15. Have you don't anything yet that didn't involve cocks today? Wait, nevermind. I don't want to know.
  16. Never mind. I was wrong. The NCAA page doesn't say the top 4 champions get the top 4 seeds. However, the announcement did say that. So your original scenario could play out. This doesn't say the top 4 spots are reserved for champs: https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2023-12-03/how-12-team-college-football-playoff-will-work-teams-schedule-bids This one does: https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2022-12-01/college-football-playoff-expand-12-teams-starting-2024-season
  17. Conference champions get an automatic bid, but are not guaranteed a bye. At least one conference champion will not get a bye each year given the number of conferences. Also, at-large selections could be among the top 4 seeds, which we saw with TCU last year (under a very different setup, but still...). So seeding will probably matter enough to keep teams from sitting their starters. Or at least enough that it is a rare occurrence.
  18. He played that shit up for the cameras. Needed that sympathy since he shit all over the bed last night. He hit a deep pass late in the game, he was fine. Just picked the wrong time to have a terrible game. Michigan was begging Washington to take over that game all 2nd half but Washington offense said nah. In between the 2TD runs to start the game and the later part of the game, Washington defense did everything they could to keep them in the game. He would have really benefited from Ewers throwing a TD on that last drive. The narrative would have been how he had an incredible game and his coach and defense squandered it and who knows what would have happened against Michigan. Instead, we know he'd play like shit and act like a little bitch.
