  1. Just so I have this straight: -aggy leaves, no one cares. -We leave, and there’s a god damn conga line of Senators begging us to stay. If that doesn’t paint a clear enough picture of how both schools are viewed, I don’t know what will. Go get your fucking shine box aggy.

  2. This is why we're leaving Tech in the Big 12.

  3. Because a significant portion of our population is not eligible for vaccinations (children). Because that population has had a serious dent put in their education missing 2 years of normal classroom instruction and can't afford any more disruptions. Because the more the virus spreads, the more it mutates. Because eventually it's likely a mutation could be more deadly to kids. Because eventually a mutation will find it's way around the vaccines. Because being a kid and having a vaccine aren't 100% protection. Because it's much harder for this shit to spread and mutate when a high percentage of the population has a vaccine. Jesus fucking christ you fuck nuts. Be a fucking man, do your civic and moral duty and get your fucking arm pricked so our gotdamned kids can be fucking kids again.

  4. it's a vile, terrible rumor fabricated by the ministry of information to whitewash another aggy ass-showing True. I saw an authentic letter from a real Floridian posted on Texags: Dear Texas A&M Fighting Texas Aggies from Texas, I just wanted to express my gratitude to and admiration of Texas A&M University and the very classy fans you have. I had the extreme pleasure to meet some fine Texas Aggies assembling a billboard in my state. They all greeted me with a friendly Howdy! They then offered to give me directions to Kyle Field and walk with me there if that were my preference. They were very handsome and manly. I told them that I would love to experience the unique gameday experience at Kyle and watch the greatest marching band in the world execute counter marches like nobody's business, but it was summer and the stadium is hundreds of miles away. The billboard was in such a beautiful color, that I couldn't be offended by it's playful message. Anyway, from now on, I'll be pulling for those "dear old Texas Aggies" (I love your War Hymn!!) every game where they're not playing my Gators. And we hate tu as much as you do. They're so arrogant and all about appearances. Yuck. Wishing I was an Aggie, Karen

  7. So the way I understand things is this: everything bad that happens in or to the big 12 is Texas’ fault. but also Texas can’t leave because everything good in the big 12 is because of Texas. and Texas has no say in any of this and is duty bound to keep taking shit from all of these schools while bringing in most of the value that generates the revenue in which they share. and they have to ask why Texas might not like this arrangement and seek to leave for a more equitable circumstance?

  10. I was going to lay off of you, but fuck that. Dumbfuck dickweeds like you are why people think Marines eat crayons. My vaccination meant that I could safely visit my 88 year old father, whom I had not seen in person in over a year. It, and my wife's, meant that we could safely see her 88 year old dad and 87 year old mom in person for the first time in over a year. The same with my brothers, her brothers and sister, and our children. You're Goddamned right I was giddy. Many, many people were in the same boat as my wife and I were, and I'm damned happy for them too. That's being human, not virtue signaling. So fuck off, maggot.

  14. You dishonest fuckstick. 1 - the vaccine is not 100% effective, so you choosing to let the disease run wild still puts me at risk. 2 - unvaccinated morons are occupying ALL available hospital beds. Thus, when your moronic ass runs a red light and hurts my family, we are going to have a difficult time being admitted and treated for our NON-COVID conditions. 3 - unvaccinated shitstains are a reservoir for new variants, which may make MY vac less useful soon. These are just three obvious reasons why YOUR idiocy has negative consequences for ME. When your “freedom” harms others, it’s not freedom, it’s sociopathy.

  15. The vaccine meant that my parents could hold and play with their grandchildren again after about 18 months without that risk of killing them. I guess that’s not a big deal if you hate the concept of family.

  21. Well thanks Bowlsby, we appreciate you giving our lawyers, OU's lawyers, and ESPN lawyers so much information and expediting our process to the SEC while greatly reducing our buyout figures. This was very successful thank you lawmakers of Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU, and Houston.

  23. You can keep saying, and it'll keep being wrong. Verbal commits do matter at least a single bit. It's easier to keep a verbal commit than to land an uncommitted player, and it's much easier than flipping a commit. Additionally, verbal commits can help build momentum in a class, and also camaraderie between the verbals in a class can help keep a class together. The product on the field is an important variable, but it's one of many. Furthermore, there's the area between a great season and a poor season, which likely would neither make nor break the class. No need for absolutes here.

  24. Holy shit, dude. Take a fucking break. The vaccine is absolutely NOT a personal choice. Getting the vaccine, if you are eligible to, is your goddamned duty as a fucking citizen/resident of this country. Fuck anyone who doesn't understand that. Your right to choose ends where your choice starts impacting others. Freedom is not infinite, and there are a lot of fucksticks in this country that need to understand that.

  25. Charles Perry is a Senator from Lubbock who claims to be a super conservative. And yet he apparently believes that UT should be forced to share its wealth with Texas Tech and even private schools like Baylor and TCU. It's not UT's job to make the conference equal to the SEC. That's up to the Big-12 administration/executives.

  26. Speaking as a Tech grad of about the same age as Slorch myself (50), I'm not going to let him speak for all Techsters. I take this shit seriously...very...and am back to wearing a mask everywhere including sitting at my desk all day. I'm proudly vaccinated (March Moderna Mafia) and encourage everyone who can to do so and am eagerly awaiting a booster. Now, some Tech grads such as my dad may have been careless, but he paid the ultimate price for it. Same could be said of many, many Texas Exes based off what we see over at the Daily Texan, so this isn't simply a matter of schoolin'. I can also tell you I'm not alone. My Tech grad mom is already hoping to get her booster and has tried to convince many of her elderly Baptist church community friends to get vaxxed. My Tech grad sister pleaded with the attendees at my dad's memorial service a couple of weeks ago to get vaccinated. So did I. My Tech grad Uncle Bob (mom's brother), his Tech grad wife, Eileen, and their three Tech grad children (all older than me) Kate, Brian, and Phyllis, who also attended were fully vaccinated and kept their masks handy in their pockets during the entire visit. As far as I can tell, some people just have to play the contrarian asshole for whatever boost it gives their egos. Get your shit together, @slorch. You're making the rest of us look bad, and we desperately need that Pac-12 invite. You just know that @Sbbruin is gonna print out this page, and send it to Pac HQs. Then, you'll really be sorry.

  33. Watching the Olympics, specifically male gymnastics, pommel horse. the gymnast starts his routine. Wife: how can they tell when they mess up? How do they get points? Me: the judges look for inconsistencies and mistakes before awarding/removing points, I believe. I’ve never actually watched much of the sport to know. Maybe the commentators will explain it. wife continues to watch in silence for about 5 seconds. Commentators begin to answer all of her questions but she begins… wife: I wish they would just tell us at some point how the scoring works and what each element means to the gymnast performing. It would make me want to watch this more. You know? They could just tell us. Me: while you were saying all that, they did explain it for the viewers at home. We missed it. wife: well can’t you run it back? I run it back, just like the loyal dog I am. right as they start talking again wife: I wonder who designs these outfits for them. me: 🤦‍♂️Droopy

  34. I embrace the hate. These schools would leave for greener pastures in a second if they could and had that opportunity. Texas doing it first pisses them the fuck off and they are pissed they couldn't get such an invite first, if at all. All this grandstanding is hammering home the point that Texas was, is, and forever will be the school that runs this state. Fall in line or get the fuck off the track. Which is it, Texas is the only reason you're relevant or is the reason you're not?

  35. This is a very strange stance you are taking. I was fucking ecstatic to get my vaccine. Had I gotten Covid last summer or fall, I would’ve been out of work two or three weeks. Still have to pay the practice bills, still have to pay staff overhead, and then have to try to get caught back up once I’m back. And that’s assuming I didn’t get sick as shit and end up in the ICU with a trach like one of the healthy general surgeons I know. They had to call a code on him and they worked on him for almost an hour before they got him back. By the way, if it had been you, they would’ve called it after about 20 minutes. Nothing personal, they had a personal stake in saving him

  38. Would make me chuckle if the SEC said "sorry Clemson and FSU but you see we have these gentlemen's agreements not to take other schools from the same state as existing SEC members". My other thought, this is going to make doing pods a lot harder with 18 members.

  39. BTW, re: the truly epic battle between Alonso and Lewis, my hat goes off to both drivers there, not just Alonso. What we saw from Alonso & Lewis there is what happens when two of the best ever close-quarters, wheel-to-wheel racers go at it. This one will be talked about for decades as a shining example of close, fair, hard racing between two titans of the sport.
