It's on your mind, but we don't watch for them at all times. If a grizzly wants the kill bad enough to risk interaction with humans, then something is wrong with it. It's sick, or injured, old and starving. They really want nothing to do with us. And if it wants it that badly, it can have it. One of my main goals is to never shoot a bear. I will if I have to, but I'm always going to try to run it off first. They're just being bears. We're in their territory. I'll help just about anyone when it comes to hunting food, but I won't go on predator hunts. Leave the wolves and the bears and the lynx and the coyotes alone. If you're not going to eat it, why shoot it? Go do something else to make your penis feel bigger.20 points

For a second I thought you were going to say, "They scammed the only group of people on Earth that I detest -- Race Traitors."19 points

it is absolutely not a justified shooting. the police put themselves in the wrong place. they have a greater responsibility. we need to do away with no knock warrants altogether. they shot someone. this person was not their suspect. even if he was, THEY HAVE A GREATER RESPONSIBILITY. frustrating that people ignore that.19 points

You've got to be fucking kidding me with this shit, dude. Which party's voters do you honestly believe have the higher BMI? And who do you think would fight the hardest over raising insurance premiums on the obese? Yeah, obesity in America is definitely the fault of "everyone is beautiful" marketing, and certainly not the party of personal responsibility stuffing their faces at Applebee's and telling Michelle Obama to get fucked for trying to help their kids out of the holes that their parents dig for them. You're such a fucking joke.18 points

Kid, I was an adult with a four-year-old daughter when we used the pretext (re: lie) of WMD to invade Iraq. I marched across the Congress Avenue bridge in protest against the invasion, while Conservatives were thirsting for Muslim blood and wanting to turn the desert into glass, ranting against the French for not coming along (including pouring cheese-eater, surrender monkey French wine into the Potomac and comically changing the name of French fries to freedom fries in the capitol cafeteria), and calling those of us who were against the war all kinds of foul names (by the way, these attitudes were sill prevalent in the Cloak Room when I signed up on Shaggy in 2010). It was the height of ugly arrogant American stupidity. It was in this environment that much of today's current Conservative movement was seeded, cultivated, and grown. As I stated in the DT thread, it's entirely understandable why any and all of us would be skeptical in light of those events. All of it was designed to turn us into warmongers and to go on the offensive as an aggressive invader of another land with no real justifiable cause. You should also keep in mind who was calling for the most blood. You know, Conservatives. They slowly built it up over a period of a couple of years. In this particular case, there has not been one call to invade Russia from the administration. There has not been one call to send a single American soldier into combat. There has not been one call to join into any sort of American or Nato fighting force to attack Russia or even defend Ukraine. But, given the fact that Russia is clearly the aggressor, I have no problem with us providing certain forms of aid for them to retain their independence as a sovereign nation. It doesn't require lies and disinformation to do the very least to support a people. It does, however, require lies for soldiers/people to act on their worst impulses to invade another land without just cause And that, my friend, is what Putin and his comrades in the Kremlin have been trying to do since 2014 when the people of Ukraine rose up to declare their independence.18 points

There's some site called poshmark.com where chicks can sell name brand stuff from their own closet. Little Miss Sidepiece has an account ( https://poshmark.com/closet/clesicrochet )where she has listings for a bunch of stuff including Boise St. gear and a number of bikinis, which very kindly models. I wasn't sure it was the same girl at first, but it's the same name, same profile pic, same earrings, one of the same one piece swimsuits as an earlier photo, and a BSU cheerleader uni in one listing photo.15 points

These two posts are incongruous. The police had no legal justification to be there. They violated that man's 4th and 2nd amendment rights and fucking MURDERED him. That is NOT a justified shoot. How the fuck can that thought even cross your mind? If someone breaks into your house and threatens you, you defend yourself, and then they shoot you - is that a justified shoot?15 points

You know what's really telling? Functionally every person on this thread who would be deemed a "crying lefty libtard" on this issue thinks that Dr. Emanuel's statement cited above is utter bullshit, makes no sense, and is ultimately harmful because it is false information. And I suspect we would all very much like that statement corrected, posthaste. Which is how responsible human beings view misinformation -- whether he just has it wrong, was careless, used shitty words, whatever, it doesn't matter, the message is false, and because it is non-credible, it harms the overall information picture. So, we have a serious problem with it. As opposed to many members of the purported "skeptic" crowd on here, who love the "just asking questions" Joe Rogan types, and think they should just keep on keeping on. Honesty is believing that misinformation is misinformation. It doesn't matter where it comes from, or what "side" it leans towards. Dissemination of utter bullshit degrades the ability to focus on an accurate and credible message and truth, and is ultimately harmful. So, it should fucking stop. It would be nice if those of you "skeptics" crying about Dr. Emanuel's bullshit statement had as much concern about all the other misinformation out there. But you don't. And that's telling.14 points

Shit, I was there too. I'll never forget those times and how angry the Bush supporters made me and how many times I was insulted and slandered as a terrorist-enabling librul and Merka hater. I lost some friendships over the build up to the Iraq War and all the idiot jingoists who bought the WMD lies and the "with us or against us" sales pitch that accompanied the reporting from all the superdooperserious hacks like Judy Miller, Peter Beinart, Andrew Sullivan, Tom Friedman, David Brooks, Bill Kristol etc....There were so many I can't even remember them all, but those were some names that will always stick in my head. To this day I still wince at the idea of reading any article from The New Republic. I remember reading pg A1 propaganda in the NYTimes, picked up by the AA-S that was often directly contradicted by smaller profile stories buried on, say, pg 8-21. This was a consistent theme at that time where the articles with statements of near certainty about Iraqi WMD and non-compliance with UNSCOM would dominate the news. Meanwhile, credible reporters were also pushing back against these questionable reports with more nuanced reporting that challenged the "let's go get 'em and fuck 'em up" narrative dressed up in fake diplomacy (See: Knight Ridder, Jonathan Landay/Warren Strobel, Seymour Hersh, etc...) and were challenged on the basis of their patriotism and lack of journalistic objectivity. Every time I pushed back against the hawkish tough talk from friends and acquaintances who were certain that Iraq was behind 9/11 and had WMD, they would respond as if i was telling them the moon was made of cheese. My position was a practical, logical, patient one and not ideological. My stance was "we don't know" and I was adamant that the US let the UN do its job to complete the inspections process. It still angers me to think back to the period after the WMD lie was fully exposed for the fraud it was and see how the political and media establishment worked hand-in-hand to exonerate themselves with the follow-up lie about WMD that went something like this: "we all got it wrong because we were misled." WRONG. You all got it wrong because you wanted war and you refused to listen to the intelligence analysts, weapons inspectors, investigative journalists, and dissenting voices who warned you that the evidence was sketchy and unreliable at best.13 points

Something you clearly abhor universally no matter the perpetrator. We salute your purity. This story doesn't destroy BLM's impact, importance, or actual intentions. At least it doesn't yet. BLM responded publicly and acted in the most responsible way; let the malfeasance chips fall where they may. While the fact of the money problem seems undeniable, the spin by the venerable Washington Examiner is despicable. Wikipedia on Todd Rokita He's big into voter suppression but there is also mention of his efforts to undo gerrymandering that breaks communities up. This shitbag calling the BLM a house of cards and a scam is stright out of the GOP/Trumpist playbook. BLM and Antifa are responsible for our ills including Jan. 6. Punish any malfeasance. No GOP ever says that about anyone wearing their jersey. We want these people weeded out rather than celebrated. Fuck your little jack off at finally landing a punch against the negros who propagate the only remaining racism in America: anti-white racism. I'll show up for the true believers of BLM any day.12 points

I'm not a truck nut per se. I'm certainly not a gear head. And, I'm not at all impulsive. But, I saw this truck on the side of the road two weeks ago, test drove it the next day, took it to my buddy's shop for a once over and had it sitting in the driveway later that week. '74 Ford Ranger 350 SuperCamper series with a big block 460. Rebuilt a few years ago and in really good shape. A few minor things need attention, but all in all, it's solid for an almost 50 year old truck. Going to be a fun weekend cruiser and may end up being my son's truck in a few years.12 points

Just to be clear, an official of the United States government AND a licensed attorney.....just asserted to Congress that his actions in assisting the Trump administration with respect to the admin's attempted coup were CRIMINAL. Again, one of the highest ranking officials of the Trump DOJ said, 100 times "I can't tell you about the things I was doing to help the administration then, because those things were crimes." This is totes fine, totes normal. Also, that fucker should lose his law license as quickly as the DC Bar's due process will allow.12 points

Exactly you limpdick twat, everyone knows A&M kicked our ass this cycle. They kicked everyones ass, not just this year but ALL TIME. There was literally nothing anyone could do about it or the Alabamas and the Georgias of the world fucking would have. There’s no use crying about it and discrediting our own class because of cheating that even Nick Fucking Saban couldn’t overcome. Your shit is tired.11 points

I think their pride was getting hurt. They just signed the biggest class of all time, but the headlines are all about how much they're paying for it. I guarantee you the guys involved in financing all of this have been getting pissed that not only is their financing operation getting a lot of public attention, but also that the national press isn't saying "a&m now belongs with the big boys if college football" like they'd hoped, instead they're saying "a&m has no business with the big boys of college football, so them landing this class proves they're cheating." They're not being celebrated, they're being laughed at. So of course Jimbo throws a temper tantrum on national tv and now their cheating is getting even more attention bc he denied it all in the least credible way possible. The other issue that might have motivated him is the response they're getting from future recruiting targets. The word is clearly out there how much they offered top targets in the 22 "draft." If you're a 23/24/25 recruit, what are your expectations? All of the publicity this has gotten has given them a real problem for future classes unless they intend to sustain or increase what they're willing to pay. Whether they like it or not, they just set market expectations with this class.10 points

Speaking of I probably shouldn’t share this story but I’m gonna anyway. After a breakfast of some yogurt, a granola bar and some leftover garlic cheese grits, I was playing with my grandson in the garage, letting him fool around in the back of my truck and stuff and I let loose a tremendous fart. It echoed off the metal garage doors and he started crying. Not because of the smell, it was just so loud it scared him. I think he thought he shit his own pants. He finally calmed down a bit, then the smell hit him and he started crying again. That time I knew he meant it because his eyes were watering. I took him back inside and it was all good after that.10 points

Today I get a phone call at work, from the wife. She is whispering and sounds a bit nervous... Wife: Did you just get home? Me: No, I'm at work. Wife: The alarm chime just went off on the door, someone is in the house. Me: Which door? (frantically pulling up my security cam footage) Wife: I don't know, I'm hiding in my closet. Me: I just checked every entrance, the cameras don't show anyone coming or going. Wife: Oh, nevermind....it was my Roomba.10 points
