  3. Thank you for saying this. The people who want Sark gone in the middle of the build after watching the clear and substantive roster changes he's made the last 2 years are children with a child-like need for gratification without enduring any sacrifice. I don't give a fuck what his record in the past was, but even if you do you're basically saying that his sole full season at USC and his 5 years spent turning around a down trodden Washington program are totally determinative of his capabilities. This guy came in here and within 3 offseasons has not only identified our chronic roster issues, but he's given us clear evidence that he's well on his way towards solving them and making them sustainable for the long term. Gone are the days of fictitious top 5 recruiting classes built on 5 safeties and 6 WRs. Now we have well rounded roster building. And his strength and conditioning program is demonstrably better than anything we've seen here in the last decade. Not only is it specified towards the needs of the individual players (Malik Agbo dropping 40lbs of bad weight, Maalik Muhammed gaining 13lbs and getting faster while doing so), but it's yielding immediate improvement. I havent seen this much across the board player development in the last 15 years. Yeah his game day coaching and overall feel for the game at hand needs improving, but given all the other areas he excels in I'm certain that will come or at the very least the talent will be so overwhelming that it wont matter in the end.

  4. When Max Wright unofficially visited A&M and was offered, - he was a national Top-10 player - Top 10 overall, not just TEs. - Tom Herman had not yet coached his first game ... .... ...... in Houston. - Steve Sarkisian was still at USC. (He then went to Bama, then the Falcons, then back to Bama, before coming to Texas.) - NO CR! Donald Trump had not yet spoken in his first Primary debate. - Charlie Strong had not yet coached his second season opener at Texas, or realized that he did not actually have a hurry-up, spread offense thingy. Shawn Watson was still the OC. - Moro Ojomo's parents had not yet met. Wright visited and was offered in August, 2015. (AD 2015.)

  5. I just want to see him like this. That’s all I’m asking. He’s a criminal piece of shit. He attacked my country for his own ends, his own ego, and to serve his lawless, contemptible depravity. Prison is too good for him. If he was a Muslim from another country, we’d have drone-striked him long ago.

  6. The former president of the US and many of his accomplices were just indicted on a multiple felonies and half the posts over the last hour on a thread about those indictments are arguing whether Hillary would've been "fantastic" or merely "fine." Fuck you all

  7. JFC, this! He’s one of the most effective presidents we’ve had and got shit done in just a few years. Even if others are doing the heavy lifting, he hired them, he knows his shit. He’s not as progressive as I’d like, that’s literally it, any democrat is closer to my beliefs than any of the hate mongering fraud worshippers. Biden 2024! Hell put his head in one of those Futurama jars and give him 4 more years after that!

  11. Biden is fine? Most historic climate bill our country has ever seen. NATO expansion and neutering of Russia so the US can pivot to a pacific strategy almost exclusively for the next 25 years, coalescing an alliance against China with allies such as the Aussies and Brits. Economy is remarkably resilient. DOJ is independent - like it’s supposed to be. Just because he’s not demanding attention like a reality tv male whore doesn’t mean he’s meh.

  14. I really wish this wasn't posted to Cloak Room but it is what it is. The pandemic changed everything for me. I work in health care and patients are more mean today than they've ever been. I made the grave mistake of buying into the whole "health care hero" bullshit during the pandemic. When the vaccine came out there were many of us that thought we'd get viewed as heroes and maybe the poor treatment we received pre-March 2020 would reverse. It didn't happen. In fact, the opposite happened. The vaccine turned political and people thought we were killing them. Now I find myself in a position where I want to move on from my current gig. It's a weird feeling man. I've never had "you're making a mistake" and "you need to do this because you've waited and waited and things aren't getting better" collide in my life the way they are now.

  16. So these idiots jumped into the Jayden Jackson recruitment and matched his camp's ask in ways no one else was willing to do so because, while the guy is a good prospect, he's not an elite prospect. Now, Nwaneri was offered something absurd by Missouri at the last minute and OU, who he favored, doesn't have the ability to match unless something happens in the next hour. They went all-in on a decent prospect to big dick Texas and Ohio State who both said "good luck with aaaaalllll that" and now they're losing the kind of 5star DL that Venables in order to run his defense. Hahahahaha. That is exactly why you don't match an unrealistic ask from someone. You need the dry powder for the elite guys and chicanery that follows their recruitments.

  17. The list of HFCs who show up and dominate immediately and consistently wherever they go at any level is vanishingly small. Heck, guys around here even trash Saban, saying he only won because of his bag game, or that he doesn’t have it anymore. Sometimes this board discussing coaching feels like aggy and their QBβ€” the next one is awesome, just wait and see! I view Sober Steve as similar but yet a distinct coach from Saturday Night Steve. He has been criticized for losing games in which ref chicanery is acknowledged and for abandoning the run against a team that sold out to stop it. He has been called 7-win Steve for only following up a 5-win season with 8 (again, with ref shenanigans etc as a headwind). I don’t know to what degree he sticks with things, chooses things, or abandons them for reasons that go beyond the game at hand (developing guys, recruiting, etc). I’ll eat my words if we only win 8 this season, but I think a lot of people around here are so beaten down by CS, TH, and late Mack, that they are focusing on any perceived negative to the exclusion of what is in front of our faces. Sure, injuries, refs, etc could sandbag us. But we are talented, experienced, and deep. Steve may not be the world’s greatest game day coach, but those mentioning coach O are right. Some other coaches who’ve won it all include Jimbo and Mack with GD. Sober Steve IMO is at least in their league. Stop crying and worrying (Godfather act like a man gif).

  18. I don't know how good we'll be this year, but the incessant declarations that Sark is incapable of producing a playoff team because he hasn't yet is a lazy basis. Remember when Clemsoning under Swinney was a thing? Right up until it wasn't anymore.
