  1. Daylight savings time and temps in the 60s all next week. I'll probably ride my fence and then help neighbors get theirs in shape. Just about time to set the world on fire. I love springtime.

Would need a damn helicopter to deliver round bales especially bales that are baled tight.

Yeah, they can get heavy. CSB, back in the 70's and 80's, one of our neighbors ran the test lab for Hesston Corp and then Hay & Forage after Hesston sold out to Fiat Allis. We got to use their experimental haying equipment on our fields to find flaws and  such. We put up some of the earliest big round bales anywhere. Tore up a lot of shit too.

  3. So, I've been watching my neighbor cut big ruts into his pasture while feeding cows this winter and I got to wondering. Does anybody make a drone big enough to lift a big round bale? I did a google search and fell down a rathole. I found some guys in Australia that have a stock farm, a golf course, a distillery and a hankering for large drones. They haven't lifted a big bale but they can lift small square bales. Yeah it looks like it was straw but you have to start somewhere. I thought y'all might get  a kick out of his "heeland coos".

  4. My 5th grade Granddaughter participates in a lego sponsored robotic competition. As the kids get older the tasks and programming requirements get harder. It's pretty cool what she and her partners have been able to accomplish. Wichita State's school of engineering and Spirit Aerospace are the big local sponsors. I highly recommend the program to any child that has it available to them.

International Harvester image is awesome. My dad used to work for them. Get a little free pub out of that, I'm sure.

I half-assed collect IHC stuff so that caught my eye. Looks like a modified W-4 tractor but nothing I could find spelled it out exactly. I did find an interesting page listing many of IHCs contributions to the war effort. I never knew they produced torpedoes.

    hp11c best ever.

Yes it is. You can see the trig function keys don't get used much anymore. CAD has turned it into a regular calculator, I'm afraid. It is the first calculator I bought as an engineer and it will retire with me later this year. I get a kick out of handing it to guys on the floor and watching them try to get an answer.
