  1. This thread has me looking at these $300 electric food warmers on Amazon.  I'm thinking that a pan of water on the bottom rack would keep things pretty even on the other three racks.  The price is really tempting.  The warm setting on my oven is great.  Rock solid at 145.  But the shutting off after 3 hours is not ideal.

It'd be great for the holidays too.

You can also get a cheap electric smoker and use it as a warmer.

  2. I have a bio bidet 2000 in the master bath and Luxe Bidet Neo 85 on every other toilet in the house and guest house. The Luxe is basic, no frills, no heater, etc.
I catch a lot of flak about being hoity-toity when we have guests, but that’s just an opportunity to evangelize about hygiene. As someone wiser than me said upthread (or maybe it was on the shag), when you step in dog crap in the yard, do you wipe it off with a paper towel and go on about your day?  Of course not. You go to the hose and wash it off.
I can’t believe I walked this earth for over 40 years with a poop-smeared backside before discovering the shag’s bidet thread. We’re not barbarians, people.

    You’re welcome.

  3. Not sure if this fit’s exactly in this thread, but the Flatonia KCs knocked it out of the park with their BBQ chicken fundraiser plates this evening.  A very solid meal for $14.

I wouldn’t have expected the KCs to serve an aborted fetus.

  4. I don’t understand all of these stories of your dogs getting all of this shit that isn’t dog food. How does it not result in complete blowouts the following day?
This feels like a story that should be in this thread, but it was a buddy of mine. He gives his dog a fucking Slim Jim on a long roadtrip from Houston to the east coast while the rest of his family flies.  Unsurprisingly, the dog blows out in the car in east Louisiana (his wife’s, to boot ) and he has to go into some gas station dressed down to his skivvies since the dog shat all over him.
This is basically what my various dogs over the year do when they get “people food.” Maybe (obviously) this is a post for “my dog is awesome” thread, but what gives?

Not everyone’s dog is a bitch.

  5. I'm not so sure I agree 100% with your policework there Lou..
According to NASA, she's about 22.5 hours light time away, or 15 billion miles. Give or Take.  A light year is 6 trillion miles (again, approximate).  That's .25% of a light year, not 25%.
Voyager is the fastest moving man made object in history @ 38,000 mph, for 46 years, and she's not even a light day away.  As a species, we aren't getting out of this solar system anytime soon.

Expanding on this; we've been to Disneyworld 3 times in the past 8 years or so.  If anyone has gone, you know what an ordeal it is planning a trip there.  My wife, who's an excellent organizer just casually mentioned how there's a burgeoning service industry just around planning trips for others to Disneyworld.  I was floored when she told me people would pay $1000 or more just to have someone plan a trip for you.  The kicker?  Disney offers this service as well, for free---yet people line up to hand over cash to have a friendly face down the street to do it.
She's been approached by others to help them plan their family trip, and offered cash---she's not taken anyone up on it yet, but I told her this might be a fun side gig for her.  She has kicked it around, but says Disney planning is a lot of work, and not sure she wants to spend her idle time doing this.

There’s a lady in my neighborhood that does this for free. I think she gets a bunch of kickbacks from Disney so she can take her family for free every year.
