And yet, the Monstah seats are damn near full.

35 degrees, 8th inning, up 14-1, on a Tuesday.
sounds like a good time to be watching the game while at home on TeeVee.

^^^ Apparently my memory isn't so good, since Gumy didn't win the tournament that year.

I went to the US Clay Court Championship once when it was held at Disney. They gave the winner (a guy from Argentina named Gumy) a remote control monster truck after the match.

There is more to Strampels arrest story - the Detroit New, the other local fish wrap is reporting 4th degree sexual misconduct (not sure what that is) and that porn and videos of Nassar treatments were found on his computer.
It should be noted that a year ago there were hundreds of videos on youtube that showed Nassar performing various diagnostics and treatments. IMO this was all part of his cover that he used to hide his sexual assaults.
Never understood why someone would have porn on their work computer. Are you going to crank it in the office?

Probably a little to soon for a "Gone posters" thread.

Wow, where to begin . . .
Ryan never had good intentions. He was always in the pocket of big donors. And the cannot be said for Democrats. The old spiel about "both sides" is simply not true. If you think it is, please cite some examples. Who are your Democrat crazies? And why?
Hmm, lots of neg rep (or whatever that is) but no examples. Good effort.

i feel for the guy. he had good intentions, then trump happened which emboldened the fucking crazy right wing nutjobs. he was never going to be able to appease his party which is fractured. but same can be said for democrats.
the middle is dying. crazies on both sides are vying to gain influence to wreck america first.

I flew from DFW to Charlotte at 5am Wednesday morning. As I tried to sleep, I kept wondering why the sky waiter sounded so familiar. Then it hit me. The dude sounded exactly like Walt Goggins tranny character in Sons of Anarchy (Venus Van Dam). To be honest, I’m still a little freaked out by it.
Humble brag is humble.
Also, if you call them "sky waiters" then you are much more superior.

Put as much lipstick on the pig as you want. London and their mayor are a laughing stock.
Other than you and a few of your weirdo basement dwelling bros, who exactly is laughing?

Little miss Fanny Stollar to serve for it against Konta on TC, only 4 main draw wins in her career.
When your name is "Fanny" there are expectations.

Also I somehow missed this, but Isner absolutely eviscerated Hyeon Chung in the earlier semi-final. Won 97% of his first service points
He looks a lot like Roddick

Wouldn’t go to a game at DKR if you paid me these days. Much more fun at my house or at a bar.

But "legend" is a strong word. I don't think 1 natty and 2 conference titles in 16 years is enough to get that title. Not at Texas.
So, what other coaches have won national titles? Doesn't take long to call roll, does it?
Looks like we have exactly one legendary coach, then. The Brown. Then Akers?

Crockett was from Tennessee, Travis was from South Carolina, and Houston and Austin were born in Virginia. I took OPs list as BAF who were important to Texas not born and raised here. IIRC, Crockett was only here for three months and at the time here was technically Mexico.
Eisenhower . . . born in Dennison but grew up on Wichita. Or do I have it backwards?
