Cedeno wasn't part of the Big Red Machine. Do you mean Geronimo? I don't think it's fair to say that Rose was "at best" third-best on those teams. Maybe any given year he might have been third-best, but for the lifespan of the Machine, it comes down to Bench, Morgan, and Rose and any one of the three could easily be called the best. And I can't stand Pete Rose...well, current day Pete Rose anyway.
Yes, Cesar Geronimo. Blast from the past.

Uhg, wasted chance.

What can you say? A nice goal by the Geordies.
-
Nice finish with the volley.

The upside to the new site is there's less Rocko now because he doesn't have his rep to hide behind. The downside is we have too much Hugo now. Are you going to start game threads this fall?
I'll take this any day.

Pictures of really scared people?

People think I'm crazy, always trying to waste me. Make me burn my candle right down.
Baby, get it straight. I don't need your jewels in my frown.

And yet, the Monstah seats are damn near full.

35 degrees, 8th inning, up 14-1, on a Tuesday.
sounds like a good time to be watching the game while at home on TeeVee.

^^^ Apparently my memory isn't so good, since Gumy didn't win the tournament that year.

I went to the US Clay Court Championship once when it was held at Disney. They gave the winner (a guy from Argentina named Gumy) a remote control monster truck after the match.

There is more to Strampels arrest story - the Detroit New, the other local fish wrap is reporting 4th degree sexual misconduct (not sure what that is) and that porn and videos of Nassar treatments were found on his computer.
It should be noted that a year ago there were hundreds of videos on youtube that showed Nassar performing various diagnostics and treatments. IMO this was all part of his cover that he used to hide his sexual assaults.
Never understood why someone would have porn on their work computer. Are you going to crank it in the office?

Probably a little to soon for a "Gone posters" thread.

Wow, where to begin . . .
Ryan never had good intentions. He was always in the pocket of big donors. And the cannot be said for Democrats. The old spiel about "both sides" is simply not true. If you think it is, please cite some examples. Who are your Democrat crazies? And why?
Hmm, lots of neg rep (or whatever that is) but no examples. Good effort.

i feel for the guy. he had good intentions, then trump happened which emboldened the fucking crazy right wing nutjobs. he was never going to be able to appease his party which is fractured. but same can be said for democrats.
the middle is dying. crazies on both sides are vying to gain influence to wreck america first.

I flew from DFW to Charlotte at 5am Wednesday morning. As I tried to sleep, I kept wondering why the sky waiter sounded so familiar. Then it hit me. The dude sounded exactly like Walt Goggins tranny character in Sons of Anarchy (Venus Van Dam). To be honest, I’m still a little freaked out by it.
Humble brag is humble.
Also, if you call them "sky waiters" then you are much more superior.
