  1. Roy is a god. If you don't own his Black & White Night concert you need to. That's the greatest backup band of all time, and their love for the man & his music just radiates.

I don't know if there's a better opening lyric than It's Over: "Your baby doesn't love you anymore." Fuck. That angelic voice hits you with the kill shot right out of the gate.

  2. My dad has always been understanding of our decision not to have kids even though I'm his only son. His first wife (aka the birthing device for my sisters & me) was a deeply ill woman whose impact on us as children was bad. Very, very bad. My sisters were brave enough to overcome that & have each raised a pair of lovely children (adults now).

There's only been one time when he's expressed any remorse over my wife & me not having kids, and that was a couple years ago when I was visiting with him to talk about his will & estate planning. He told me that the only thing he regrets about us not having kids is that he & his wife (#3) never had the chance to spoil those kids like they think they did with the other 4 grandchildren. I damn near spit out my beer over that comment since my sisters' kids have non-existent relationships with my dad & his bitch of a wife. They "spoiled" them by sending them lots of cheap, bargain shit that his shopaholic wife bought. No emotional connection. No warmth. Constant criticism and comparison of grandkids.

    Enjoy your life.

He always looked like the love child of Rodney Dangerfield and Judd Nelson.

    He could sing, though.

Holy shit. That's EXACTLY what he looks looked like. That video above of him on Letterman has got to be some of the most awkward white rock star with no rhythm or moves "dancing" ever.

The guy had some solid songs. I'm pretty sure ever Camaro that Chevy sold between '78 - '81 came with an Eddie Money cassette pre-installed in the tape deck. I stumbled across his blog a few years ago & it was a bit of a hoot. He'd post little snippets about being on the road, trying to quit smoking, and hoping people would come see him at some Indian casino or state fair. He'd sign off with "Eddie 'No' Money."

No shame in your game, Eddie. RIP.

The only regret I have with not having children is all the jobs around the house and yardwork that I have to do.

I've had this discussion multiple times with a golfing buddy of mine (he's got a son & daughter in their late teens). He swears that he expends more energy trying to get his kids to do the required chores they've set forth for the kids than if he just did the work himself. And don't get him started on how he often times wastes an hour or more in the morning just trying to get the kids up & get them in gear for school.

We're at the point of the thread where surly parents who are happy for their life choices should pat themselves on the back & continue doing their good work. And those who've decided not to procreate should continue on their merry way.

The odd thing is that so few seem willing to go against Trump, even as he tries to destroy their reputation.

Oh wait, he likes to hire passive Yes Men.

Bolton might actually take a few swings though, he's clearly not happy.

When he's out of office they will suddenly find their balls and begin to say how they were always skeptical of Trump & his antics, how they were busy behind the scenes trying to push Trump down a saner, more diplomatic path. Any personal failings will be blamed on Obama/Hillary/liberals.

  6. Haven't read the first 6 pages but I'll say this: the Vikings o-line and run game looked spectacular compared to last year. Dalvin Cook looks fully healed, and the line was significantly better in run and pass pro against the Falcons. Skol.
