He and that dude with the biker mustache have both done well there recently. That area is like East Texas - lots of raw talent that SC and OU don't take that a good coach can do a lot with. They also can pull under-recruited kids from LA and the Bay with the proximity angle.
Pat hill, right?

At one point, Spring Dekaney cornerback Marcus Banks had pretty much been penciled in by Texas as a Longhorn commitment. While he was definitely seemingly leaning there, he kept in frequent contact with the Texas A&M coaches as well.
Banks was one of the first players visited by Jimbo Fisher after he took the job and the Aggies are very high on the 6-foot, 170-pound defender.
Banks took his first official visit at the end of last month. It was to A&M, two weeks after he had also been in town for the spring game. The next weekend, he had been scheduled to officially visit Austin, but Banks ended up calling it off.
While there was talk of him rescheduling, Banks had actually stopped talking with Texas as he had a new leader and was showing no interest in the Longhorns anymore. There was suddenly no more reciprocated communication on his part. The consensus surrounding him seems to be that A&M was able to flip the script during his visit and the Aggies took the clear lead.
He is scheduled to officially visit Alabama in mid-June but it would not be a shock if that trip did not happen either.
Banks is set to announce at The Opening Finals in Frisco, which will be held from June 30-July 2. It would not be a surprise to see both he and four-star cornerback Bobby Wolfe commit to the Aggies at the event
It’s one thing to impress a kid and move to the front in his recruitment, but it’s something else for an aggy visit to all of a sudden make him go from hot to ice cold on Texas. The two actions are seemingly unrelated to one another.

Think it’s been discussed that private schools like usc can fudge their numbers and report basically whatever they want to.

Wouldnt be the first time it's happened.
The higher the signing bonus, the less likely a team will be in letting a guy do this. If he signs for top 3 round money, they’re going to want him playing baseball full time and not splitting time with football and in theory schoolwork.

During the ‘real’ (IE not noncon) Bedlam baseball this year, I was watching game 1 upstairs with a beer and the kids to bed...I apparently said loudly enough ‘who the hell is that shrimp...wait that’s the great Murray?’ loudly enough my wife texts me (from downstairs), who is Murray?
Not sure the dude even got a hit the whole series. That soothed my jimmies which are now rustled as I’m expecting my pokes to choke up the conference this weekend. He didn’t do shit against Texas either.

Seems irresponsible for the fielders too on the off chance he barrels one.

No mention of Texas revenue, I’ll take that to mean we were higher as well.
Also, 8th is the top spot of the lower half!

So we actually gave those retards a shot at what they say they wanted and they turned it down. Pussies.
Who is surprised? Their favorite past time is saying hold me back while standing behind bama.
And, any chance this makes the rounds with people that report on and care about cfb so as to embarrass aggy and call out their bloviation?

It's the other half of a home-and-home from the Mack era that keeps getting postponed
...by them. To avoid an ass kicking. Bet they wish they’d moved it to these past few years. I wish we made them buy it out.
Also, can we not work with the big 10 teams to keep both series consecutive instead of one in the middle of the other?

He’s still alive? That’s more unlikely than a Kansas bcs bowl win.

Games against the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th, 12th, and 25th winningest programs of all time over the next decade
dont think any other program in the country has such a badass non-con lineup
You can throw notre dame in there before usc as well for an 11 year streak.

Haven’t seen this piece of ass around here before. Mercy, me.

2023: Bama
2024: Michigan
2025: Ohio State
2026: Ohio State
2027: Michgan
This is how you schedule out of fucking conference. Love it. Good job Del Conte and Herman.
Now, let's find some competent qb play.
My kids will be 9 years old at the usc game, and 18 for the last Michigan game. They don’t know how great this stretch is.

Who trained yoda, and when? Who discovered the force and first used it? These are important questions that are yet to be answered by the cinematic universe.

Strange as in “paying for recruits”, or strange as in “letting recruits dump their load up Candi’s ass in exchange for commitments”?
I doubt they are forced to choose.

I’m an analytical chemist with over 10 years experience and I just got over 70 last year.
I could probably be higher if I took a job in the northeast, but that’s a personal choice I’ve made. Plus cost of living would likely make it a wash.

Maybe whichever school doesn’t get stingley has banks tabbed as next in line. If Texas is as honest with recruiting as has been told on here, they would have told banks that. Maybe he doesn’t want to wait, or want to be 3rd choice behind Watson and stingley. It’s pretty fluid.

Watching the Sammy st game while I wait. Tie game in the 6th, and the home team just got a gift from blue at first. Like obviously safe in real time, embarrassingly safe on replay, but called out.

I hope our other pitchers are watching this. Singles don't kill you. Walks kill you.
What’s the difference?
but for real, 3 very well hit balls right up the middle in a row. Nice that one made it to Shaw.

I thought "nonexistent history of engineering" was a nice touch of delusion myself.

Spoiler Alert it's #11 Texas, #14 ewe molesters.
I think he means no history of football players being engineering or similarly rigorous majors.
But it’s not like there’s piles of engineers on other football teams, either.

Seems to me if aggy is barely a tourney team, they should be a 3 and not a 2.
Semantics I guess.

So, la to Vegas has a hijacking where they end up crashing on what first appears to be a deserted island. From there it becomes a combination of gilligans island and lost.

Seems like the comments might be a good place to drop the Twitter nugget about Texas asking aggy for a series, being turned down, and then Texas asking Alabama and them saying yes.
