Where are you getting that idea? He was tried and convicted in the District Court for the District of Columbia; took his appeal to the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia; and now his appeal lies to the Supreme Court, if they take it. Very few things make it to the Supreme Court without something from the intermediate court of appeals.
I don't think they'll take it because the DC Circuit is the only court that hears/decides contempt of Congress cases, so there's not a circuit split and Bannon was not an executive branch official at any relevant time, so it presents no separation of powers issues that could be considered important.
Navarro's case might actually be better poised for a Supreme Court appeal because he was at least an executive branch official, but again one of the problems was that Trump never asserted executive privilege to Congress on his behalf, so there's not really even that issue.
His new appeal would be to the full dc appellate court, right? Then after they adjudicate it, the next stop would be Supreme Court of US?
or is that saying he could do either? Seems like the best course for time wasting would be to take every rung on the ladder to its full course.

I’ll augment my position a bit and say that I just can’t comprehend an educated adult seemingly using the toddler level thinking of “the person bringing her back must be the person that took her in the first place,” nor how this got any further than her getting out of the car and saying that’s my Uber, dad.

Amazing how a message reinforced over and over can cause a man who, based on that video and his background presented, seems like an empathetic man who has chosen to care for people and animals, to behave so crazily.
I will say that if he feared his daughter was missing or had run away, and then an unknown car pulls up, he might be on high alert and emotional. And being armed as you assess the situation isn’t necessarily a bad idea. But from what was presented it should have been very easy to assess the situation as a non threat.
I mean, what was the daughter saying during all of this?

Haven’t seen cabaret but watched the video and was interested in the context, so read some plot on its wiki page. Where I found this:
Fosse, who was hired to direct the film version because Hal Prince was unavailable, wanted to recast the MC role, but the studio insisted on Grey. Fosse backed down on his “It’s either me or Joel” threat, but relations between them were cool.[10]
sometimes greatness is the result of happy accidents or forced circumstances.

Going to pretend that this game still ends 3-2 without the dropped popup, and not think about Blackmon ring one batter later in that case.

Why is this even a close game to the last place team with a 9-28 record?!
How many losses to Houston didn’t prepare you for this?
also can we trade for Blackmon?

First one was hintz, and Colorado had already come back to tie I think. The pp would have been to go back ahead. I didn’t think that one was a good call.
the one on marchment last night, yeah he threw his feet forward so I could see that it was embellishment, but I see what appears to be embellishment lots of games and it almost never gets called.

I’m not up on current debtor law, mostly bird law, but I believe he has to go either to jail, to Georgia (ironically), or to Australia.

But barely legal is still barely.
And still legal. Calling for frontier justice is the right answer? I hope this is just click bait and not the guy’s actual opinion.

i am picturing Abbott and Paxton rushing to jerk off to videos of “Trump Sex God”, then realizing the other one of them had internet porn turned off in Texas and this “2024 Lone Star Boner Jams” is another victim of Cancel Culture…But Slit Slam is still on since it’s an in-person (hehe) event, right? I think it’s in Freeport this year, and there’s a connected redfish charter.

Scarjo again? She can show off her range by playing Kristi and stormy

If he did pick her, they’d about face immediately and defend her. They’re just following his lead. If he wanted to pick her, he still should.

especially after that ridiculous embellishment call last game. That was 10x the embellishment.
Overhead shot is really not the best replay to show the penalty. Wtf?

To the play that got the last Dallas pp, every time there’s a long pass like that I think that there’s never been a better rule change in modern sports than eliminating the 2 line pass.

And was just about to say they’ll have a pp before the period is over.
