  1. Is this the death panels that will make social security solvent again?  Just shave off the 10-20% of Americans who are both poor and sick?  Probably do a number on housing prices with all the inventory surplus.  I should stop before I talk myself into a new position.

I'm late to the thread, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating someone else's response.

Since Trump is sure he won the 2020 election, will he use his last election as a precedent for election to office more than three times?

    Sorta kidding. Sorta vomiting.

He won’t be satisfied until he wins all 50 states, DC, and the unofficial PR vote.  None of the elections that don’t show this will be considered valid and therefore don’t count against his 2 legitimate terms.

I’ve been trying to see the home run that won the game last night, but all espn keeps showing is his 7th inning homer.

You are searching for Freddie freeman hr, right?

I think that 7th inning hr was the last pitch he saw for the game.

I don't really understand where the new jobs are or the jobs these people can go to are. When the monopolies start getting rid of everyone there's no one left to employ them because they killed all the other companies monopolizing.

Constructing the power stations and computing facilities that all of our AI will run on until the robot takeover?

I’m in favor of a swing-off after the 12th. It’s wildly popular with the Bananas and Manfred has brought it up on some podcasts. Soccer has it right with PKs, there’s almost no comparable amount of stress or intensity in sports. This would give us the baseball version of that. Instead we get viewership numbers tanking inning by inning last night and 2 completely fucked pitching staffs the rest of the series.

    Because of course you are

Do y’all remember Team R all collectively frothing at the mouth circa 2014 or so, because they had somehow convinced themselves that Obama would try to run for a third term? Based on, of course, absolutely nothing? I member.

But now…. oh that was different gif.

They’ll use consecutive terms as the fulcrum to differentiate Trump and Obama, should anyone suggest that Obama run against Trump in 28.

that won’t be available in 2032 if they can keep him alive that long, but they’ll find something to fake justify it even though everyone will have seen his total and complete incapacitation during the televised visit from 2031 national championship winning Vanderbilt qb Dr. Diego Pavia.

Manfred ball sucks ass in regular season and would really suck ass in playoffs.

Give me last night drama or Roger Clemens coming into relief and Chris Burke walking it off, or Game 5 2017 WS etc. over manfred ball every day

I agree, but I guess the argument would be about pitcher overuse and how the games after the long one look due to staff use.  One way to mitigate that is to allow for a roster addition following a game of x innings or more.

In assume the dodgers get to carry one extra pitcher since their DH happens to also be a SP.

It would make no sense for him to take a reduced buyout that could still be revised if he gets another job. Any agent that would agree to that shouldn’t have their job.

Only reasons I can think of to talk less is lump sum due now, and removal of offset language.  Probably would take both for it to make sense.

“But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice President of the United States” -12th Amendment

No, that doesn’t work either. Now if you tell me “lol it’s all Calvin ball” fine. But regardless of what Newsmax asks Trump on AF1, there is no “VP loophole”

“That was written and ratified before the 22nd was drafted, therefore the 22nd wasn’t a consideration and is exempt from the 12th.”

Or whatever. They’ll do it one way or another.

in a way, I kind of hope he’s basically incapacitated but still alive, such that everyone can see it, and he still “wins” the nomination and the election.  May as well do it all the way if we’re going to do it. Bonus if all the hayseeds don’t vote for him and are confused as to how he gets so many votes and wins.

Yeah, he should sue them for never being open.

He will sue them for selling so much Tylenol, and also sue them for never being open.  And some Amarillo judge will rule that always being closed would not preclude you from selling lots of Tylenol.

  11. They for sure will try to get him on the ballot as the nominee but if they can’t bend the courts to do that, they’ll absolutely run him as vp and have him become potus when Vance steps down, and then he nominates Vance as new vp.  And they won’t hide it, they’ll run on it.

I watched them film RoboCop 2 in downtown Houston when I was in high school.

The Omni corporation corporate office is Dallas city hall in the first one, and reunion tower and reunion arena are clearly visible in the opening chase scene.

    All y'all old.

That means I was around 10 when I watched robocop in a theater.  Looking back, that may not have been the healthiest of decisions.
