  1. i havent seen EJ Smith this year but saw him against LT last year. he is a nice player but really surprised he is in the top 10 in the state. top 50, sure. top 10, no.
  2. then you make another throw or throw it away.
  3. you move or hold the safety with looking before the throw. there is no reason to not look while throwing. its stupid and will lead to interceptions more often than not. changing arm angles and platforms and "no look" throws sound cool and all but there is a reason the best of all time rarely do any of that. the consistency of their motions leads to consistently accurate throws. putting the ball where it needs to be over and over and over again is what leads to championships not "no-look" throws. it was an exciting play and really cool to watch tho...
  4. why in the world do you need to do a "no-look" pass in the NFL? it serves no purpose. looking a defender off your intended target is one thing but not looking at who you are throwing to is just stupid and will result in INTs more often than not. there is no doubt that mahomes is exciting but my guess is his career ends up more like Matthew Stafford than an all-time great. He is just too reckless with the ball.
  5. you're mean...
  6. i would like to see the two party system go back to being a contest of ideals and policy positions rather than liberal vs conservative constructs.
  7. yeah i dont know. thats what i am going to ask. i know we valued Williams over Richardson as a S prospect. but have heard that Richardson might be more of a LB in college.
  8. If Elko leaves, that might put S Brian Williams back in play. He loved UT and the DB coaches but he had an even stronger relationship with Elko going back to ND. I will check around to see what I can find out.
  9. i agree with that assessment. Brown behind a decent line would have been effective in college. I watched Porter and Glass against LT in the playoffs. Glass is a much better back than Porter but I still have the same concerns voiced above. He was amazing as a freshman, really great as a soph, injured as a junior and effective as a senior. the best thing for him would be to redshirt and let his body heal. if he could regain his freshman/sophomore form, he could be electric. but i have my doubts.
  10. got it. thx.
  11. Is Cain really that much different than Glass? Im not really excited about either.
  12. but see she is just lying to get a better deal! and flipping should be illegal! illegal i say!!!! WITCH HUNT!
  13. If they did want him, they could have him. We'd be willing to trade him to France for a conditional pick in next year's draft depending on his jail time, $5, and a bag of Cheetos.
  14. i guess the obsession with the clintons continues because they cant find anything on the obamas to feed to their base and distract the public.
  15. it's hard to write a response when Trump wont tell the truth or admit any wrongdoing. i cant imagine representing him. any response will be completely and wholely unrelated to the mueller report. it will be a fan fiction that is all about how Trump is the unicorn that shits rainbows that we have all been looking for and the only detail will be conspiracy nut theories about how Mueller and crew are conflicted and should be disqualified. i think it will read a lot like the corsi filing where he filed a criminal complaint against mueller. the land of fiction and conspiracy is where this president and his team live.
  16. well, Bru is under 6'3 so he doesnt really fit that role to begin with. but they have said the same thing to QBs, WRs, LBs, etc and i get it but it has offended some parents and players both on the recruiting end and on the team. i trust Herman and staff are great recruiters but maybe they could be a little more subtle on that particular pitch.
  17. well, Santa a licensing agreement with all the top manufacturers so yeah...
  18. i can tell you Jason Washington is working on Leal every single day. Caden Sterns is as well but to a lesser extent. I dont know if it will make a difference or not. Naivar is contacting Garrett Wilson daily but I dont think he will make a dent. As for Mehringer's pitch to Bru about Texas not having anyone else on the roster to fill that role. They need to stop saying the same thing to every recruit. That shit works some times and not others but it always gets back to the players on the team.
  19. we do it similarly. santa brings each child a big present and then one for all of them together. the rest are from us.
  20. Like others on this thread, our approach has been simple. If you believe in Santa, he is real. If you do not believe, the magic of christmas no longer exists. and NO ONE wants that. I repeat, NO ONE wants the magic of Christmas to stop. My jr in college at UT still believes in the magic of Christmas and still gets excited when he hears Santa's sleigh bells ring right after I finish reading the Night Before Christmas. Santa has impeccable timing. He along with our 4 other children all run to their beds and cover up their heads and go to sleep when they hear those bells... As for why people want their kids to be grateful to Santa instead, its not about credit or gratefulness. Its about believing in the greater good and that if you are a good person then good things will come your way. Its about encouraging believe in innocence and doing the right thing and not worrying about who gets credit for it. Trust me when Santa is putting together a basketball goal AND a trampoline on Christmas Eve and doesnt get a wink of sleep before the kids wake up, he doesnt give a damn who gets credit. He just wants to see those smiles on his kids faces.
  21. i have coached against him several times in 7on7. He is a stud. Good arm. Good feet. Great anticipation. Y'all got a good one.
  22. well, if they make it past Judson, they have an even bigger challenge waiting in North Shore. If they can beat those two, I like the rematch with Allen.
  23. he is 6'2+ and growing. still pretty thin but in a good way. he has progressed as a QB over the course of the season. it will be interesting to watch what he can do against Judson this Saturday. i dont think LT has the offensive line to make it past Judson but if Card has time, he can do a lot of damage with his arm or his legs.
  24. That sucks. Sorry to hear GB. He is a good QB.
