  1. If he stays healthy you’re going to eat your words on Stafford. He’s a really good. But he won’t stay healthy and you’ll be able to say ”I told you so” without even understanding what happened. Stafford is Romo. Only difference is he played his entire career for historically the most incompetent organization in all of sports. If Romo played for the Lions, you would’ve said the same dumb shit about Romo too.
  2. When Jimmy G is healthy and they have a healthy D they’re one of the favorites in the NFC. Maybe even the favorite. Do you disagree with that? Are we really saying we don’t believe Kyle Shanahan could get more out of Dak than Kellen Moore? Wtf are we even talking about? You just like to argue for the sake of arguing. I know a lot of women like that. It’s like they get turned on by getting into an argument and they seek it out whenever possible to get their fix
  3. The thing is, he’s good. You could even make a case that he’s really fucking good. He flashes that all the time. Fuck rankings. He’s in the tier of qb that you can definitely win a super bowl with. If he got signed by SF tomorrow, SF is probably the favorite to come out of the NFC. Kyle Shanahan knows what the fuck he’s doing and he’d maximize Dak’s abilities. The problem we have is we’re so far away from being a complete team that we just have to bank on getting lucky in the draft like 2-3 years in a row to be legitimate contenders. I don’t trust that we can do that, but I also feel like that is our best chance for putting a contender on the field. Unless you just want to bottom out, and like I said, there’s an argument for that too.
  4. You don’t get it, do you lol?
  5. I will say this though. I’m starting to think the “don’t sign Dak” crowd is about to get their wish. I don’t think Jerry and co think he’s a top 5 qb. They’re all talk. I think they like him. I think they like him a lot. But I also think that they don’t think he’s a set the market type of qb. I think you probably have to set the market for a top 10 qb. I don’t think they feel that way. If they did this shit would’ve been done by now. If you really believe your qb is “that dude”, you don’t play this dangerous game that they’re playing.
  6. It’s just the going rate for top 10 qbs. I get what you’re saying. I don’t feel confident that we’ll be able to put a good enough team around Dak throughout the life of his contract, but I think it’s our best bet for getting to where we want to go. And I know that makes me sound like I’m flip flopping, but I really do see where you’re coming from. But I also think we need to just sign him and hope like hell we can draft well enough throughout the life of his contract. There’s definitely an argument to be made that we should just bottom out and rebuild though, because I don’t think we’re winning with this core. Dak would have us playing well enough that we’ll never truly bottom out, especially in this division.
  7. Yeah, I’ll definitely be watching that.
  8. trying to catch you a Drew, I see. Let’s see if they’re biting.
  9. This is ultimately where we find common ground. There are maybe 10 people alive and in their prime that could’ve put on a halftime show that would be unanimously looked at as “wow, what an amazing performance.” But when you say the “in-crowd” that’s essentially most people between the ages of 15-35, and even 35 might be stretching it. That’s usually the demo that dictates what’s popular in music. I’ve been a fan of The Weeknd for a long time. I’ve always loved his music. I think he has a great voice in the studio. He doesn’t have the charisma I thought he’d have, but you have to understand that this thread is very much in the minority on their overall opinion on The Weeknd as an artist. And I’m not going to sit here and pretend like I’m part of said “in crowd”. I just genuinely like dudes music over the course of the last 7 or 8 years.
  10. I will give y’all that last night I learned he didn’t have as much on stage charisma as I assumed he would for how good I think he is. Good to great musical artist. Meh performer.
  11. I think the foo fighters would agree that in 2021 The Weeknd should get the halftime show over them. If we’re talking 15 years ago, it would make a lot more sense.
  12. He isn’t as good of a performer as Bruno Mars, but in terms of the music he puts out, he’s widely regarded as one of the top male artists in his genre. If you went to check him out on Spotify, I think you’d have a different opinion of him. But maybe not. Who knows. I’m just telling you what the public thinks.
  13. He’s definitely surpassed Bruno Mars in terms of the songs he’s putting out. Maybe performance wise he doesn’t match up, but he’s easily one of if not the most popular male artist in that genre.
  14. I agree. I don’t understand the hate lol. What do you expect from a halftime show. There have been plenty better and plenty worse. The Weeknd has some bangers, and he performed all of them without the normal crowd that he would have to feed off of.
  15. Really if he just wouldn’t have retired in his prime he’d have some of the best numbers ever. He had that 2000 yard year where he almost won MVP as a wr. Pretty unheard of.
  16. Seriously. Do we still not know what happened? 58 is really young to die unexpectedly.
  17. Teddy is the perfect bridge qb. Draft someone and put them behind teddy for a year, and you can still be competitive. He isn’t going to pull a Brett Farve and go out of his way to not help the guy behind him. He’s just not a franchise guy.
  18. It’s as real as Houston wants it to be. All reports say Carolina was interested. They’re ready to move on from Teddy B. Houston is being stubborn right now.
  19. That seems like a really smart way to get back on your franchise qbs good side lol. At this point I think they’re just fucking with him.
  20. This is kind of how I feel about them. They have no bias. They clearly don’t go off of reputation. They have the things they look for and they stay consistent with their evaluations. So whether you agree with what they’re saying or not, sometimes you just have to take a step back and realize you may have your biases. They don’t.
  21. Darnold is still has a year left on his rookie deal. I’d be willing to take a flier on him just to see if getting released from the shackles of Adam Gase can unlock him the same way it’s unlocked so many other guys.
  22. Ask every DB from his era to name the best wide receiver from that era, and I guarantee you about half of them say megatron. Bad take MN. We’ve all had bad takes before, but this is one of your bad takes.
