  1. To each there own. I prefer when my sports are decided on the field. Not when they resemble beauty pageants. I don’t like Aggy, but it would be foolish to think that a one loss aggy didn’t deserve a crack at competing for a championship. But they weren’t as pretty as ND, and they’ll never be as pretty as ND. So we can all laugh at them. If that was Texas in that exact same spot with that exact same record, we get in. Because historically, we’re “prettier” than aggy, and the judges like that in the beauty pageant that is the college football playoff.
  2. That’s not necessarily what I’m saying. I’m just saying think about every other sport. All of them. When you win your division/conference, that earns you a spot in the postseason. In most sports, that’s the whole point of divisions. Except college football. I love the tradition of college football, but the setup is unbelievably stupid and I’ve felt that way since 2008.
  3. That’s definitely not what I’m saying lol. What I’m saying is, if winning your conference doesn’t give you an automatic spot in your sports playoff (like literally every other sport at every other level of sports), then what’s the point of even having conferences, and what’s the significance of winning your conference? There is none. Like, why are none P5 schools even in the same division as P5 if they have no chance at playing for a title? I’m also saying the NFL is a better product than college football. There, I said it.
  4. Injuries, and playing for historically the worst franchise in the sport will do that to you. We’re about to find out if mcvay is the offensive mind that we think he is, because Stafford is CLEARLY better than Goff. But what they gave up is just ridiculous
  5. One of us is going to be loud wrong, but it’s just a bad take, brotha. Just a terrible, terrible take.
  6. The Rams are always fucking up the market for everyone
  7. If you don’t see how Stafford is a MASSIVE upgrade over Goff, I don’t know what to tell you. We aren’t watching the same sport. This is assuming health, of course. That is Stafford’s one Achilles heel.
  8. I can’t even begin to imagine what Watson will fetch. My god
  9. Nobody has ever been a winner in Detroit. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
  10. Well fuck me. All you “Stafford is a scrub” folks are about to find out what he looks like with an organization and offensive mind that actually knows wtf they’re doing. Wow
  11. He ruined his chances during the week. The game itself isn’t really that important. It’s the practices that are a really big deal, and he didn’t perform well during the practices. But yeah, his chances of getting drafted weren’t helped at the senior bowl
  12. Yeah, having a playoff where every division winner gets an automatic bid is lame as shit, am I right? They should’ve just picked KC, Buffalo, Green Bay, and New Orleans, and just called it a day. I wonder what division would’ve been given SEC bias this year...
  13. That was the joke, doc. I bet you’re just a blast to be around at parties. You’ve quoted literally every single person that even mentioned it and you made your point pretty clear. I think we all understand your stance on this topic. But go ahead, keep bogging down the thread by quoting every single person you disagree with.
  14. Hey @Dr. Beeper, can you be more clear about whether you think Sam can make it in the NFL as a TE? Seems like you’re on the fence. For the record, you’re probably right. My main point was he would have a better chance at making it in the NFL if he went all in and committed to trying to play TE, than he will trying to make it as an NFL qb.
  15. Blake Bell is an example. Logan Thomas is probably more athletic than Sam, but he’s made a good transition. I just think he has the mentality to make it at that position if he really committed to it. I just don’t want to see him flame out at qb.
  16. Didn’t realize that was the case.
  17. I really so think Sam should consider moving to TE. Plenty of guys have made that exact switch and had success. He doesn’t have a future in the NFL as a qb.
  18. Yeah because we all desperately needed to see Jason Kendall, a baseball player, and his gruesome injury right this second. Definitely couldn’t wait until later, or not be posted at all. Just had to add it right away. Im halfway kidding, but god damn dude lol. Got me throwing up in my mouth over here just to prove something I already know. I was wrong lol
  19. Man, you can go fuck yourself for that one @Pato del Muerto lol. Why? Why not use a god damn spoiler tag? Who wants to see these gruesome, nasty ass injuries.
  20. Yeah PG snapped his leg. My main point was that I didn’t think any of those guys got paid a “set the market” type of contract while they were still recovering from an injury like that. It seems unprecedented. But weed is legal out here in AZ so my memory is probably just foggy.
  21. God damnit @Patrick Bateman. A simple, “yes, I’m right. Trust me” or a spoiler tag would’ve worked right there. I’m the person that generally looks the other way when they show a slow motion replay of an injury.
  22. You say that like your dad is a professional athlete that needs his lungs to work at 100% to be effective lol. I’m not even necessarily saying you’re wrong, but there have been PLENTY of athletes across all 3 major sports that have talked about how it took them weeks, and even months to feel like they were back to their normal self from a conditioning standpoint. Again, not even saying you’re completely wrong, but “your dad” is a ridiculous counter argument.
  23. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but you’re telling me these guys had their foot literally facing the opposite direction? I feel like I’ve never seen an injury that looked like that before, but I’m sure you’re right.
