  1. No worries, I appreciate any insight. Been reminiscing about my PSP for years while living under a rock in regard to the capabilities of these modern handhelds, and now I can’t stop reading about them. After getting burnt out last year due to work/life and Madden connected franchise shitshows, grinding on Palworld and the upcoming CFB25 release have helped me rediscover my video game enjoyment. Plus my sneaker hobby has gone too far so this is my best attempt to fill the postgrad void.
  2. Was a tough call but really it came down to my preference for the Odin’s size/portability and Switch-like layout. The Steam Deck is just such a unit. Also helps that all my emulation experience in the past has been on Android and I like the OS. Trying to avoid any buyer’s remorse, but I’ve found enough setup guides to give me some hope that I can manage to get what I’m wanting out of it. If everything goes well then I ever decide to move past retro and cloud gaming, I’ll wait for any potential deals on a Steam Deck and give the Odin to my brother or a friend. Saw there are rumors of the Steam Deck 2 dropping in a couple years.
  3. Figured there was a Surly thread on this subject. I finally ordered the AYN Odin 2 Pro after researching all week. Didn’t realize how far along this type of tech had come besides a vague understanding of the Steam Deck. Looking forward to my attempts at emulating some of my favorite PS2/PSP games and getting the NCAA Next 06 mod to work, then seeing what else I can do from there. Also will be nice for Xbox remote play.
  4. Looks like Jeff McCulloch (Memphis Showboats) is the only Longhorn in the league from a quick glance at the rosters. Some other once notable names like Daylon Mack, Trey Williams and Anthony Hines. I will be there no matter what.
  5. Somebody get this guy a Shiner. 4/31 from three. Vintage Shaka.
  6. https://nbadraft.theringer.com/mock-draft Shocking to read Mitchell picked 45th here. Would love to see it even though I’m doubtful. I don’t know how credible The Ringer’s mocks usually are, but they sure do look nice.
  7. Joe Burrow perhaps
  8. Saint Thomas (great name) is a stud, wonder if he’s wanting to go back home to Creighton/Nebraska or somewhere else. Was very underrated out of high school even though he played with 5 star Hunter Sallis and put up numbers on a top team. Tough to match what Knecht just did at Tennessee, but Thomas went in and pretty much replaced DK’s 2022-2023 production at UNCo this season. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in a power conference. Preferably not for an SEC opponent though. Hope we reach out to Fidler too as an Omaha high school basketball homer. Our Nebraskan representation has been severely lacking since Matt Hill graduated.
  9. He’s accomplished enough to get away with saying stuff like this, but I still think it’s a terrible quote. Few things I enjoy more in college basketball than a Kansas tournament loss.
  10. There’s a decent chance McCullar, Terrence Shannon (pending trial), and Jaylon Tyson are all first round picks in a few months. Beard leaving for UT really earned each of them millions in the end. The power of two egg McMuffins in Plainview.
  11. He was really fun to watch running that system. Sickening that we didn’t get to see the last ten seconds play out with no call. Fuck Kansas.
  12. 2023 vs 10 seed Penn St: 1/13, W 2024 vs 10 seed Colorado St: 1/14, W Survive and advance
  13. It’s the next scheduled game to tip and the first of the second session in Charlotte, so I’d think we should be good.
  14. Looks like the pro day coverage starts on LHN at 7 tonight
  15. Didn’t realize CSU’s Stevens played at Allen. Wonder if he ever dreamed of a UT offer.
  16. Cook Bond
  17. A turnaround of this magnitude doesn’t happen often at a poverty program like Ole Miss. Have to go back half a decade to find anything remotely similar.
  18. Just in case anybody wanted to copy Sark’s fit from last night at the Spurs game
  19. 16-4 as the favorite, 4-7 as the underdog. Seems like a pretty typical distribution for a decent-solid CBB team. The ‘21-‘22 team was 20-5/2-7, to pull a random example. Regardless, this is how I feel when reading a Surly poster’s absolute claim on this team’s inability to pull an upset in the NCAA tournament (notoriously full of upsets by far less talented teams)
  20. Anyone got this? Glad I’m not the one handling the ‘25 WR board. Should be a hell of a class no matter who they end up with.
