  1. He had the 2nd best +/- against Baylor, and was doing well against OU until they cheap-shotted him into the locker room. But you are right, in Big 12 play he's 3rd on the team in PP100, behind Disu and Onyema. Weaver is the only guard below 112. He's 5th on the team in WS/40. Again the biggest issue with this team is that our guard play outside of Abmas is inconsistent to abysmal. He is a foul drawing magnet though, 2nd behind Weaver in FTr. He does lead the team in BLK% and has the best TOV%, while 7th on the team in USG%. Maybe if the guards could get him the ball in better spots he might be more efficient on the offensive end. The one positive is he is shotting 88% from the FT line in conference play. Texas is 4th in the Big 12 in scoring average, but here's the real kicker. They are 1st in fouls committed and last in fouls called against their opponents, seems very familiar.
  2. Lloyd is a no go until he can prove he can actually win in March. Two years two big upsets. Sampson killed him and he was severely outcoached by Princeton last year. Will be interesting to see how he does in a much better conference next year. He coaches a front-runner style that will get tested in the Big 12.
  3. OU went 3-16 in the final 12 minutes, while only shooting 3 FTs.
  4. Shedrick is the 2nd best defensive player on the team behind Disu in points per 100 possessions, while 2nd on the team in BLK% (behind Onyema), 1st on the team in STL%, and 4th on the team in TRB%. All the guards minus Weaver are giving up over 100. Shedrick and Disu are covering up a lot of bad perimeter defense. The rebounding is a problem but given where the guards are at defensively he can't rebound and defend the rim at the same time. The biggest problem for him was the surgery on both shoulders that cost him the entire off-season in the strength program and his back as taken a beaten the last 2 weeks due to some dirty play. Shedrick is also shooting at .582/.400/.746, while scoring in double figures in over half his games.
  5. Absolutely no way. Brock is where he needs to be, backing up Mitchell for 10 minutes a game.
  6. Lulz at the Bucks. What a panic move.
  7. Well he has them at 15-4 this season and #11 in the country.
  8. I like our chances a lot this weekend against BYU. They will struggle to finish above .500 in conference play because they are a soft team. They are also shooting 40 points less in conference play from BTA over their season average because the athletes are better in the Big 12. Our guards and Disu should be able to punish them with athleticism.
  9. Beard let him transfer without even trying to stop him and replaced him Sir'Jabari Rice. Beard regretted bringing him after 1 season. Your entire premise was stupid because Beard didn't even want the guy after a single season coaching him.
  10. Keep the starting 5, with the same rotation and minutes. It is ok to have a guy off the bench that can score.
  11. Why would they get a call, they just shoot 3's with very little pressure driving into the lane? Their 3-headed monster of bigs are all Big 12 level jags.
  12. I don't think Hunter is bought into being a role player, yet. He disappears for long stretches when he doesn't have the ball.
  13. In what, the conference tournament?
  14. Nope. When we don't turn the ball over we can score on anyone in this league. The only reason OU had a lead at any point tonight was the lazy passing in the middle of the 1st half that lead to a 10-0 run.
  15. Shit, even Brock and Horton weren't complete 0's on offense tonight.
  16. It shouldn't be. When we don't turn the ball over or get completely fucking hosed by the officials we have plenty of talent to win games in the Big 12.
  17. They are contested with good defense. This has been a 2nd half ass kicking. We'd be up nearly 30 without the stupid TOs in the 1st half.
  18. Protect the ball. The half court defense has been there all night.
  19. We really love lazy cross court passes.
