  1. I couldn’t find any.
  2. European date conventions. How do they work?
  3. This. I mean we can’t even get outraged at dozens of children mowed down. Why should I care about some guy getting shot who was getting paid $10mm to refuse care to people paying premiums for healthcare his company profits from denying?
  4. Hang onto it. It's probably better than anything you can get on the market now. When they moved away from the metal gears the durability and reliability of the motors really took a hit.
  5. Again, you seem to be answering your own question. From a societal standpoint, is it better to support a system that affects 10 percent of the general population at the expense of 90%? Medical outcomes in the countries where doctors lack the "prestige" and considerable wealth of doctors here are better. It's almost as if we've set up our society to benefit the monied minority at the expense of the rest of the population....
  6. KitchenAid mixers have had a significant drop off in quality over the last few decades, but they're still better than most others. If you're wanting to use it primarily for kneading dough, you should look at Ankarsrum. https://amybakesbread.com/best-stand-mixer-kitchenaid-bosch-and-ankarsrum-review/
  7. Seems to me we shouldn't be building or supporting a system that excels at the extreme margins rather provides better outcomes more efficiently to the vast majority of the public.
  8. Avatar checks out. Also,
  9. Sam Darnold's hitting that. (Or at least was)
  10. Went to Goodwin's for DDD's birthday earlier this year. Food was excellent albeit pricey and was a lot of fun. Ended up in the speakeasy bar in the back after dinner for cocktails and dessert.

Only been to HH once, for lunch. Was not impressed and thought the pricing was outrageous. But, it seems like it's always packed so what do I know?
  12. I lived in Palm Court back in the 80’s so…close to home.
  13. I know Brian Griese, so, you know, this hits close to home.
  14. As Anglophiles, @Ghost of LL and I prefer "Happy Christmas."
  15. Not true. We've all seen the nudes you post.
  16. Some of us socialize with those whose faiths differ from ours. I'm Episcopalian. However, half of my family is Jewish, as are several of my close friends and colleagues. Imposing "Merry Christmas" on someone who I know to be of another faith is not being evangelical. It is being rude and insensitive, and it reflects a view their faith is not worthy of recognition. But that's just me.
