  1. Can't say I ever had a fear of bridges, but after reading this thread, and seeing so many confess to it, I'm wondering if I've just been blissfully naive.
  2. Cam Newton woulda never....
  3. Likewise. It's quite obvious this isn't a straightforward adaptation. In more than a few ways, Denis changes (or presents) the plot significantly. But overall it works for this medium. To me, it's two different takes on the same story. You can argue which one is superior, but I like both for what they are. With regards to Chalamet, my opinion is that he is possibly the best actor of his age group out there. Whoever expressed bemusement at his physicality is right, he shouldn't be able to carry roles that call for that sort of thing, but he does, and does it very well. I suppose that's part of the point of the profession. The contrast stands out more in The King, but even there he was fantastic. At least in Dune, he actually fits the frame of the character in the books, and the style of fighting is more about speed than brute strength, and I never caught myself thinking he was wrong for it.

    Shogun

That was a masterclass on how you advance many characters in one episode.
  5. Aaron Donald is one of only two players to have made the ProBowl in every single year he played with a minimum of 10 seasons. wild stat. would have thought there would be more than that
  6. Kirk Cousins will have made more than double that. Must be nice to be a QB
  7. One source isn't anonymous. Go ahead. Sue a journalist for defamation and let's see what comes out.
  8. looks like crap
  9. took longer than I expected
  10. if he is serious, sue for defamation.
  11. I'll be playing myself in this. Please keep an eye out. Scene is brief but impactful.
  12. Butler is not the worst. The other guy is the worst. It's like he was handed the script for a fratboy, immature character. This isn't "inner turmoil," it's just douchebaggery.
  13. Palabra. Someone forgot the game was politics.
  14. yeah, that's wild. let's not make this series need two threads. just spoiler the link
  15. I agree with the thought that this could have been a trilogy but considering the real world pressures in just getting this done (remember, part II was not even guaranteed), I think Denis did an excellent job. The Chani part will be controversial, but the relationship was well done and did a lot of the heavy lifting as to what costs Paul was going to bear. The movie was a not so sneaky love story, and I understand a recent interview that Denis had about this angle more. I thought the transition from Paul taking up the mantle to the actual battle was the weakest part of the movie, but the novel suffers from that as well. Rebeca Ferguson was outstanding. The simple shot of her face when she was talking to her daughter and deciding on the strategy of conversion while staring at the Fremen was great. I don't get the Austin Butler love. This is like one of the simplest character types to play, and I guess he hit that mark, but he is like deadwood as an actor.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

Didn’t have much of an impact on the Georgia roster? One year wonder? What?

guess JJ McCarthy's arm is a bit stronger than widely believed.

Ohio State's roster as good as any. Frankly, they had a monster off-season.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

agreed. WR corps is young, but loaded. Baxter should take a jump next year. Best OL didn't go anywhere. QB will have talent + experience.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

AD's talent was always obvious. his two knocks are his focus erring at times, and his occasional atrocious blocking. Being WR4 on the board might be beneficial to him, as it betters his chance of landing in a better organization
