Last year our winter portal haul included Mukuba, Golden, Bond, and Trey Moore. Elite adds at every position of need. This year we whiffed or balked at price tags for major WR, TE, and CB. Even ignoring MM, anyone who posted now that the portal preparedness was better than ever would get laughed off the board.
Being prepared for the portal includes retention just as much as, if not more than, it does acquisition.

Charging "those that make money off us with trade..."? So, like the people that are PAYING US for the goods we are selling at the rates any given market dictates?

Here are the type of pumps you would need to fight fire using your pool.
https://www.northerntool.com/categories/engine-driven-high-pressure-pumps
There’s an $800 one with some hose, nozzle and a suction hose that would probably do the trick. Add in a couple more hoses to further the reach, a couple of cans of non-ethanol gas and your good to go.I'm not sure the math works out here. For most folks, those pumps would drain your pool in 1-2 hours max. So it's not like you can just set it and forget it. You'll have to hang around until the fire is literally right on you before you start spraying. At that point, you're going to have trouble breathing, it's going to be insanely hot, difficult to see, etc. Then, if anything goes wrong or you drain your pool and the fire hasn't passed yet, you've most likely lost the ability to evacuate. I think my wife and kids would rather have me around than the house.
After a little more research, it looks like firefighting resources recommend having 500-1000 gallons per minute (typically by employing 2+ hydrants) to fight a residential fire. You aren't getting anything close to that out of your pool unless you've got multiple pumps. And then you're draining your pool with maybe one lap around your entire house.

It really is truly terrible logic. We've gone through a period where people's legacies have been tarnished because things they said decades ago (when those things were considered perfectly acceptable by most), and now they perceive a reprieve in that. Surely it'll last forever, right? No way that comes back to bite anybody in the ass for saying those things at a time when at least a significant portion of the country, if not the majority, consider them inappropriate and offensive. Good luck with that!

I’m very relieved to know that the richest men in the country, those involved in big tech, finally had that boot removed from their necks.

Our neighborhood is talking about installing rooftop sprinklers
I can’t imagine any residential water lines could support every homeowner opening up a high volume line for very long. How far have y’all gotten in scoping out the requirements? I’d be very interested in doing the same in my hood if it’s actually feasible.

One of the dumbest goals in our dumbass society.
When you drive somewhere in a suit, do you not hang your jacket up in the back seat so that it doesn't get wrinkles? Or just in general, don't you prefer your garments to be wrinkle-free?

How effective are the scooper planes? Doesn't seem like there are many available. Are they crazy expensive or something? Maybe it gets too tricky from a flight control/safety standpoint, but what if there were 10 more being used right now? 20 more? Would that make a meaningful difference?

Watching the news interviewing someone from Altadena. This woman. “I made my last payment on my home January 7th. January 8th my home burned down.”
goddamn
Shit, that’s awful. No idea what happens when you pay off a mortgage since I’ve yet to do it (other than selling). How does insurance work? Coming in the first week of the year, I wonder if that timing could impact whether she had an active policy on the 8th.

She’s a surgeon in Austin. Looks like St. David’s in the background.
Correct! She did my wife’s partial mastectomy last year. She is an extremely nice person and a fantastic surgeon.

Man. Super jealous I couldn’t make it, but holy fuck it’s cold out. I’d end up drinking so much at the tailgate to get warm I’d probably pass out before halftime

Anyway, she's just hanging there waiting to die with two kid goats nursing on her. I got her down and she just walked off looking for something to eat like nothing happened.

Yes, I remember reading a USN document about the opening up of the Artic and how the US could get ready. This included beefing up NORAD's capabilities.
A rational leader would look to make an agreement allowing for the development of a large US military base, which sounds to be the ideal outcome if “defense” is the goal. A really good way to fuck that negotiation before it begins is to threaten to take it by force. You don’t let someone build a massive presence inside your country when they’ve already made those threats.
So of course he does the exact opposite.

Occasionally had goats getting into brush piles we were burning. Always thought that might be why they’re associated with Satan.

All I know is if Ryan Reynolds ever asks you to invest in something with him, do it. Man has the Midas touch.
I’m gonna come clean here, and I apologize to everyone I lied to. Ryan actually wrote the business model and the IRS approval for Horns With Heart a/k/a Texas One Fund. It wasn’t me. Please follow Aces’s of Aces’s’s advice and invest heavily.

Something about Ryan Reynolds’s personality makes it hard for me to believe he’d be married to someone that’s a super bitch.

I've never understood the "drinks per day" metric. I don't drink on weekdays anymore but have multiple drinks on weekends. I honestly don't know how that would spread out on a per day average.
Well, you’d count the number of drinks you have over the weekend, then divide by 7

A lot of soffit is a plastic-like material. I'd imagine it doesn't take much for embers to melt through that stuff and create bigger and bigger openings. Really only takes one ember getting through
