Some places require you notify internal resources BEFORE calling 911, and wouldn't surprise me if Amazon is one of those.  Gotta get PR ahead of the storm.

Fuck that. Standing in a shit pit with walls caving in? A policy like that doesn’t make a shit when you’re at risk of imminent death

  2. Wow. Can’t imagine USC fans are happy about that at all. Can you imagine if Sark just decided to cancel OU as an annual game? Much less for the foreseeable future?

This seems beyond hypocritical considering everything else that’s going on, but I’m not sure this is something we’d get crazy up in arms about on a normal timeline. At least on the surface level, it sounds a bit like witness protection for some of the higher up dudes to roll on others without fear of their family members being disemboweled and hung from bridges.

I think a coral would be my least amount of fear while seeing a Texas venomous snek. I grew up walking past copperheads in east TX so I'm used to them. They're pretty damn docile but fuck you can never see them. Cottonmouths can suck my dick. Every time I see a bullshit fb video about how they aren't aggressive I just wanna pull those fuckers back to my childhood and teenage years. Yes maybe they were just being curious but they still would've bitten me and they like to get danger close.

And in the 43 years I've lived in Texas, including spending countless summers on our ranch in Jack County, I have never seen a rattler in the wild. I've heard them a hundred times, but never seen one. Hell we have plenty of posts every year on our neighborhood fb page about them showing up in garages and shit. Still never seen one.

How have you heard rattlers in the wild hundreds of times and never seen them? You just immediately turn and run every time?

  5. Can’t think of the best place to post this, so I’m putting it here. I’ve looked around online and can’t really find anything, but is there such a thing as a BB gun pistol that shoots multiple bbs like a shotgun? I’ve got so many gotdamn lizards that keep shitting all over my patio, patio furniture, around the pool, on the grill, etc. I’d love something I could just put in a holster while I’m lounging outside or working around the house to blast the fuckers. They’re so gotdamn fast it’s pretty tough to hit them and I can only get off a shot or two before they’be bolted away. Seems the magnetic aspect of them is the problem since they’re really just designed to hold a single shot. Even something that could fire 3-5 at a time would probably be good enough

The F-22 is insane and there's a reason no one else has them.

On one hand, I’d love to see how they perform in battle against somebody else’s best. On the other, if that were to happen, we’re probably in a world of shit already

It's surprising because the JF16 doesn't carry PL 15s. JF16s shouldn't be able to see Rafales before they're seen, much less get in range to shoot them down.  That's why I asked about the J10s.

The initial reports were J10s with PL-15s. We don’t know much about the PL-15s, but they’re pretty hyped up. I think this would be the first time any of our allies have seen them in action, but I could be wrong about that

  8. Also, the fighters each country fly aren't what I would've expected. They both have a bunch of French stuff. Pakistan has a lot of Chinese stuff and a decent amount of American fighters. The Chinese jets are the more advanced. India has a lot of Russian stuff, but the French jets are more advanced.

So, in the event of maximum escalation the alliances would be:

    - The US would side with India who doesn't fly any US stuff (and be fighting against US made jets).

    - The French would side with India (and be fighting against French made jets).

    - Russia would side with India and be fighting alongside traditional adversaries in the US and French and in opposition to its ally in China.

    - China would side with Pakistan and be supporting US and French made fighters and fighting against its ally in Russia.

    - I don't know about munitions, supplies etc stockpiled, but it seems like that could be a big problem for Pakistan since they wouldn't be getting anything else from the US or France...so they'd be losing support to about half of their entire air force.

But what if it escalated beyond a regional conflict? Those alliances seem like they would get quite a shakeup. Russia would have to abandon India to align with China, right? Then India loses support for about half it its air fleet. Seems like these two countries have not properly thought past the first part of this little dust up. If they let things go too far, they both get the shit end of the stick.

  9. So, anybody hear much about this alleged massive "dog fight" between India and Pakistan? Several sources reported on it yesterday, but then nothing since. Almost like nobody is sure it actually happened.

Lat time the lake was considered full was 2019, I think

Cool story bro time. I was bartending at Carlos and Charlies during this. I lived close by, and the owner of Just For Fun called me and everybody else nearby (he was also part owner of CNC) because they needed help letting out the lines on all the boat docks before all the boats were destroyed. If I remember correctly, there were only a few that were seriously damaged. Otherwise, would've been tens of millions in losses just in that marina. We also had to do the same to the damn restaurant. Just hours of manual cranking of winches. Nothing we could do about all the cars left in the parking lot that night. A dozen or so vehicles 20 feet underwater in a matter of hours. They hired some divers the next day for anybody that needed to retrieve stuff out of their cars.
